In San Diego I could rent truck only. Had to go to National City to rent tow dolly Neither location would put the 2 rentals together. Because of that I had the to pay $400 for tow dolly when should have been $200JAMES K.

I have 2 uhaul dealers within 4 miles of my house, but had to drive 22 miles to a dealer almost in Mexico to get this trailer.jack P.
Was very disappointed with the uhaul company as a whole. We were told that we could pick up right next to our house and ended up needing to drive over 30min one-way to a completely different location and then also were quoted over $100 incorrectly so had to drive and pay significantly more than expected. The physical location we picked up at wasn't even a â€œuhaulâ€ location it was a different named storage company. The attendant there was very nice and understanding but every representative over the phone could care less and gave us wrong information more than one time.Luis G.

Truck was extremely dirty. Was not given the truck I was guaranteed. Had to rent 2 trucks to make up for the 26' truck I was guaranteed and had to pay for double gas. I was also guaranteed a trailer for a car row and that was not at the location I was originally told it would be at. Had to drive across town to a location that was closed and had to postpone my move. Pretty poor experience overall and will not be using this service in the future, nor will be recommending to anyone that needs to move in the future.Christopher H.

The store was nasty broken tiles on the floor no door molding, no covers on outlet and switch's in the customer area. No one knew what they were doing . Clear CalOSHA hasn't been there. But everyone needs to have a mask on??? Never go this location it's a major health and safety problem.Adam D.

It seemed very bad organization on the part of the reservation system because in my case there was a reservation for a 26-foot truck and when I went to the direction of picking up the truck it was not there, they sent me to another city to pick up the truck and that caused me more miles and they charged me the miles that was not my fault see I made the reservation wrongFILIBERTO A.
I honestly can't think of anything. It was super easy to reserve the truck I needed online and the reservation guarantee gave me peace of mind. The staff at my pick up location were very friendly! The whole process was fast and effortless!Hector G.
We came here to drop off a Uhaul truck. The experience was terrible. First they seemed to think my dad needed to drive our car off the towing trailer. It made me feel like, as a woman, they thought me incapable of driving my own car backward. We dropped the trailer off early claiming some kind of unhooking fee never mentioned in my multiple phone calls with Uhaul directly. The car and trailer was also attached without a fee. When we returned the next day they were very vague about where to park the truck in the very limited space at the facility. After, they looked over the truck and we had to wait for that at the locked gate. Us and others then had to wait at the office which was locked, because after raising the bar for us to get out of the storage area the only attendant in sight left instead of getting our receipt. Other people left instead of waiting for the attendant to return and open the office again she was gone for so long. We were waiting for over half an hour at the office. After we found out, despite being said we could return to the office for a confirmation of the return, there wasn't one to be given. It had to be emailed. So there was more waiting to get that. It was very bad service about the Uhaul items.Thomas P.

The truck was filthy! The exterior was extremely dirty, the windows were caked in dirt and debris to the point that one could hardly see out of them. The cabs interior smelled horribly of cigarette smoke, even after 2 air fresheners. The cargo area of the truck had a sticky liquid covering more than half of the floor. Before loading the truck I had to mop the floor of the cargo area to avoiding getting the susbstance on my furniture and boxes.Lance O.

Be at your office during business hours. I almost missed seeing my dad before a surgery and I do not appreciate you making me wait 30 minutes for literally nothing. I was also supposed to be helped by scheduling over the phone to see if i could be helped by anyone and no one ever picked up. I called with another phone to be transferred to a supervisor and that phone kept ringing until it stopped. I had to hang up because the short time i have with my father is more important than your sucky customer service. I was given the ok the third time i called to leave the equipment at the front. when i called to confirm they received it, the employee who answered the phone was rude and said i should not have done that. i am extremely displeased with your service. i will rethink it next time if i ever need a moving/rental company. now i sit here with my dad at the icu, more time to think about my experience. i have uhaul for making me more distressed than i should have been in this extremely difficult time in my life.Caleb C.

When I arrived they had the wrong tow dolly it was already hooked up to the truck. Next I wanted it sent to my storage facility not to this one. I have used U-Haul my entire life when moving approximately 15 times. Customer service representative at this location had excuses and not Solutions. I was very disappointedGuillermina M.

The mobile pick up and drop off feature is awesome but needs improvement. When I went to drop off, I submitted my credit card info and clicked submit and it was loading forever. I had to call customer service because it was after hours and I needed a confirmation and info on what to do with the key to the Uhaul. Checking out was also very complicated the last time I did this as well. I will continue to use the mobile process because although it needs work, it is a great idea and very convenient.gabriella U.

Truck windshield was not cleaned. Car trailer had a bad strap holding tire on front. I had to stop two times enroute to readjust strap that came off completely. I was on a two thousand mile trip and had to stop once in Texas and Mississippi to readjust. It was an inconvenience and a dangerous experience that could have been avoided if equipment had been installed properly.Fred F.
The car trailer did not work properly. I had to stop twice to adjust one of the tire straps that came off enroute. I was difficult to find locations on the road to readjust the strap. I don't believe equipment should malfunction while you are on the road.Fred F.

This order was all screwed up. The pickup was originally scheduled for Chula Vista and was changed to this location. The truck was 2 hours late in arriving. It had an eighth of a tank of gas in it. There were only 7 of the 24 blankets I had ordered. Bad experience. The people were nice and trying to make things right, but when so much is wrong and out of your control what can you do. This was UHaul's mess and not the people at the site.Terry S.

Check equipment maintain equipment set check in guidelines for staff to review such as for missing screws for tailights and inspect chains and straps and tires every week period! Not just when equipment is returned. Also if equipment has been sitting for a while don't rent out cracked tires just to make a sale. But if your following guidelines above that shouldn't happen period. But it happened to us and we barely made it to Fresno from San Diego CA w a tow dolly rental that tail lights flew out because no screws and the tires were cracked. Father in law could have got hit retrieving the tailight from freeway road by grapevine as he was behind us so we could but back on and apply duck tape and reapply and reapply took extra hours to get home mutilple stops due to uncertainty of the equipment making it, very very unfortunate experience with haul and still am waiting for supervisor to respond . The girl at Stax Storage very nice but nice isn't going to get my family safe home there needs to be a consistent weekly routine to maintain and check equipment period so this doesn't happen to anyone else.Hector F.

Store needs better signage to where the location is, including the office location. The truck needed an oil change (sign was on) and the brakes squeaked loudly. That being said, the staff members at the location were very friendly and helpful.Brett C.

I reserved a truck and dolley at another uhaul in imperial beach. However when I went there they did not have the uhaul and I was never sent a message. Even though I reserved the truck and dolley 10 days ahead. I had to go San Ysidro Uhaul last minute for the truck but they did not have a dolley. I called 6 different uhauls for a dolley but was not able to get a dolley for moving.Maricel G.

When checking in at the office, the system did not recognize my online "quick" check in. The lady was helpful and quick, but I prefer to spend the time from home checking in to avoid the wait. Once I was given the keys, I walked to find the truck. There were two identical trucks and the facility does not have an identifying system for people to go to the correct rental. Once I got to the correct truck, I noticed that it was parked under a tree. When I got inside the truck I noticed that the window was dirty causing hard visibility. The biggest issue \I have is with your new process for one-way drop-offs: calling a 1-800 number when you arrive at the destination. I called the number on my documentation for several hours and only got a recording in Spanish telling me the call could not be answered and to call later. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! When a customer has time constraints and there is no way to tell where to do the drop-off, it puts him in a real bind. I finally went to STAX Up in Chula Vista and these people were fantastic. They made it possible for me to drop off the trailer even though they were full. Both Anna and Monique of Stax Up should be commended for saving me a lot more trouble than I already had.james K.
