This was the worst experience I have ever had in a retail situation. This location lied about the return time (charged me an additional day) as well as the remaining gas (there was more than a 1/4 tank and recorded as 1/16) and charged me over $140 dollars. I called several times and they told me to call back 3 times before they started ignoring my calls. When I went there they told me I was lying about the time and the gas. Thankfully I took pictures and was able to verify gas and times. Even with the picture they continued to argue about the gas. I did get a refund after an hour of arguing. Reserved a uhaul and was given a COMPLETELY different location for pickup. Went to pickup and they didn't have my reservation in their system and that this happens alot! After about 15-20 minutes of their employee being on the phone with uhaul they said it's at a different location and to go there. What the fuck did you send me to one place only for it to be at another? And don't get me started on the employees at stop and buy. The guy had no idea how to work the online system to give me the uhaul and actually tried to charge me again! I wasted about an hour and a half of my time when that could have been spent packing but instead I'm running around town and dealing with idiots who should NOT be renting anything to anyone. Would NOT recommend this service based on my experience and based on what a business providing this service said about you, that this service has been more of a hassle and complication than it has benefited his company's time. This location and the location in Phillipston were both terrific; pleasant helpful and easy. How ever the location in Leominster a very large place, was absolutely horrendous because of two people in charge. Two of my friends have also noted that difference. A man and a woman, both young were rude and insulting. I was shocked.david V.

There was a food bag in the cab, and the clasp holding the small dolly in place was broken. We had hired movers so we didn't need or use that dolly. But the person who set us up with the truck was very helpful and curteous. I would certainly recommend that location again.KATHY D.

The gentleman that assisted me at this location was fantastic and made the entire experience enjoyable! He was professional and attentive, and I would certainly do business there again! My only "complaint" (which is not about this location, but more about UHaul overall), is that I don't understand why I could not pick up a vehicle at my preferred location (Orange, MA, rather than Gardner, MA). I had actually driven to Orange to reserve the truck, and then the location was changed for me to Gardner, which ended up costing me much more for the additional mileage. Again, I have no complaints about the Gardner location, and was very happy with the service provided there. But with so many UHaul locations, it seems that customers should be able to rent from the locations that meet their needs - especially when a change to another location cost so much more because of the added mileage.Anita B.

This rental experience was horrible! The rental agent had absolutely NO idea what he was doing as I attempted to return the Uhaul. Very frustrating situation trying to help him understand a process that he should have already known. Plus, a rental should not be given out with only 3/8 of a tank of gas. The merchant at the store was very rude. Would not give me a receipt when I was finished and returned the truck. I mentioned there was glass all over in the back of the truck he said I broke something that's how it got there. I then ask for a receipt again and he told me he doesn't give receipts. He then told me I was all set and could leave. I told him again I needed a receipt. He refused. I will never use that location again. It was a horrible experience. We had a very negative experience at the Gardner location. The store manager was consumed with his Convenience store customers & their many transactions (for candy, gum & cigarettes and not us (his only UHaul customers). My sister & my elderly 80 father who drove her there & cannot stand for long periods of time) had to stand & wait for over an hour to get the info to download to his computer & of which two of the attempts failed AND he could not produce printed docs like all the other UHaul stores can. Lastly there was a major language barrier and he was hard to understand & he could not understand our simple questions very well, nor did he walk us to the large 26â€ truck and explain its features; he handed us keys and that's all. I am used to smooth, professional experiences at UHaul and and although our family has done many one way, cross state moves, this one was a real disappointment and someone should visit the Gardner site to help w/quality control. The drop off site in Hanover Maine and Manager Bruce was wonderful and listened to our issues from the previous day and apologized for our misfortune, even tho it wasn't his fault. I am glad that Chris I'm corporate listened when I complained and that we received a $50 credit for a future rental, but I feel immediate compensation off the truck should have been made as we are not planning on moving soon. All my children are now out of college. Please call me at 774-364-0798 or my sister Susan if more data is needed. The cab and truck area were really dirty. I had to clean them myself. The cab floor and seats were sticky and the cup holders were nasty. The truck area floor was very dirty with bark mulch and general dirt. I rented 4 dozen blankets. Many of them were wet or to dirty to wrap furniture with.Kevin S.
