When coming into storage , I was pro rated, was charged for deposit, never stored anything there, due to selling the camper before moving it. When leaving they kept my deposit, because they said they don’t prorate on exiting.Joe M. | Overall Experience

It took 2 hrs to get the keys for the truck we rented. We were given the wrong code to get the keys. The only reason it got resolved was bc I know someone who has a company that rents u hauls and he gave me the district managers cell. The whole process was totally ridiculous.robert B.

I had reserved a 26 foot truck online and the reservation went though. Received notification I can only get 20 foot I said that will be fine, THE DAY BEFORE I NEED THE TRUCK, I get notified I can only get a 10 foot truck to move a 2,700 square foot house, I made 6 trips, the lady was unsympathetic to my needs and was only worried about getting off work on time. Rushed me out the door and basically told me to deal with it, my reservation was GUARANTEED or I'd get $50 but it was so bad that I had to rent a 2nd I haul on a Sunday just to finish.ALEXANDER K.

Everything was absolutely perfect, the pickup experience was very easy and everyone was very friendly. The two gentleman that were there on a Saturday morning were very courteous and made sure all the additional items I ordered were in the truck before I even arrived. The truck was very clean and they even gave it an additional wipe down before I even left. Very impressed with the service and will definitely recommend to anyone who needs a U-Haul in the future!Morgan R.

The equipment was clean, but not greatly maintained. The driver's side visor was broken. Every bump sounded like the box was going to fall off. No problems, just a lot of noise. I didn't like the fact that I was charged an extra day because I was 1 1/2 hours late returning this truck, but it was in the contract. I could see it if there was someone waiting for me to check it in or to rent it again, but there wasn't.Jeffrey S.
If using cash for payment and added deposit, I recommend conveying the policy on retrieval of deposit. (Optional) suggest a gift card of select retailers be sent by mail for their refundable amount. That also opens up the business opportunity to partner with retailers for increased profits.tim M.

The rubber pieces that go on the chain hooks were rotten petty good, I was worried they may break while stretching them on after hooking and unhooking the chains. Other than that it was extremely helpful to be able to rent the unit. Thank you.Curby H.

I do have a serious suggestion. Especially for women who are not mechanically inclined, yet also for anyone, to prevent loss of life as well as equipment, you should have a designated person qualified to secure the vehicle to a dolly. I had no one eperienced in that application, and if it were not for an experienced bystander who secured my car correctly, I would not be here to make this suggestion.TONI G.

Got here with the correct amount of gas, and they made me go put $5 more in! Took the tank from 3/8 full to half a tank. I was only required to fill it back up where it started at 3/8 tank. U-haul is a scam! Paid extra up front, and then charged more on the back end for going over my miles! Total trip was under 200 miles. Had 225 miles to use, and all of sudden I drove 248? Crazy! Scam! Almost $400 to go 192 miles one way! Scam!Andrew K.
Make it easier to drive out of the lot. 26' Truck was parked with and other truck in front of it and they knew I needed it at 0730 for an app pickup. I had to back it with very little space between it and some RVs. And it had another truck and some trailers on either side. It Would have been nice to just drive it forward and out the driveway. Maybe put a cone in front if you don't want a customer to drop off a truck there, etc. Thanks.RYAN B.

When we arrived we were greeted outside by the manager. She made sure the trailer and hitch were a match BEFORE doing any paperwork. That was a first. She actually cared that we were satisfied with the hook up (which she helped with) as well as the equipment. I would definitely use them again and recommend to a friend.Maryann S.

The 10 foot didn't have enough leg room for me at 5'10 in tall...i suggest making a 10 footer for tall people ?? Other than that my experience was great and the lady was very pleasant to work with!Beverly W.

Fifty dollars and seventh nine cents. 50.79 .what it cost me cant beat that price. I got so much help. Friendly. Debbie I think went out of her way to make sure that I understood the pricing and the truck I was driving. Would I go back again Yes,Yes,Yes. Picked up the Clean truck at 9:00 and returned it clean by 1: 00 .my rental Was for 9:00 until 5:00 .short trip of 15 miles.segwenda B.

The lady was rather rude and the truck was dirty. No windshield wiper fluid and the window was covered with bugs. All in all, a very mediocre experience. Next time I will go to Home Depot and rent a Penske truck from them.earl S.

The fees added by UHaul exceeded the amount offered on the phone to set up delivery. UHaul refused to lower fees to amount so I would up paying $120 more than offered originally. UHaul should be held responsible to honor pricing. Earlier in the day I spent 45 minutes on the phone to set up delivery. In other words I wasted an additional 45 minutes and paid $120 â€œextraâ€ dollars. Bad, bad, bad.Alan O.

I will not be using U-Haul again, nor will any of the churches I am called to. This is the third time I have reserved a truck and you have not had what I reserved at the site when I went to pick it up. I asked Denise, the manager at the site to give me a discount, she gave me a measley fifty dollars. When I called corporate to adjudicate her decision, they told me they could not, only she could. Denise said her hands were tied by corporate. WHO IS LYING? I am done with U-Haul.Adam B.

Better personality and when a customer puts down a certain time for return that'd when it should be expected back. When a customer requests equipment it should all be together and if it isn't extra mileage should not be charged, that is on you. Also it was returned with a full tank of gas but received with a half tank. So this company came out ahead, yet your representatives want to have an attitude problem and charge extra.Andrew D.
Make sure the staff checks out the dolly (if rented and part of contract) from the office. I assumed the dolly was in the truck but found after arriving at moving location that it needed to be checked out of the office and staff had not done so.
