We almost missed it! The signage was nonexistent! They tried to charge us for over-mileage! How! We went from N Hearne location to Vivian to unload to Mira! The truck sat parked! The personnel did not answer the uhaul phone there! We were unsure if they were open! The worst part of the entire thing was the man at the Lake Street Office where I called who said, â€œYes!â€ we could drop off in Vivian even though there was no place to do so...used to be, but no longer. He was impatient, rude, and ultimately dishonest. Next time I'm going Penske!!!Colene L.
The only improvements you could possible make for the next customer would be to give them the 800# to Penske. I made this reservation nearly 2 weeks in advance. We pre-paid for the reservation in advance--our first mistake. I was given a location address for a 26 foot truck to a site that is not equipped to handle 26 foot trucks. Reservations changed us to pickup the truck at the Hollywood address in Shreveport. We arrive to check in and even though they have a truck available, it was promised to someone else. They spend the next 30 minutes locating a truck in Mira, LA, which happens to be 40 miles away....on the day of our move!! The Mira location was the 3rd location. The local U-Haul rep at Hollywood supposedly confirmed the truck was there in Mira. We arrived nearly an hour later and no truck! One of your own service reps came and picked up the truck the day before for service maintenance...and could not be bothered to update your own inventory. You constantly overbook reservations and put your local reps right in the cross-hairs when they can't deliver on your bookings. Like most others in this same circumstance, you cost me labor, time and money. You offered empty apologies and meaningless credits. You think you're the only moving rental service around? You are dead wrong. I will NEVER use U-Haul ever again. I will make it a point to tell anyone I see when they decide to move to cross your name right off the list.Preston C.

Reserved 26' truck 3 weeks in advance for pick-up in Magnolia, Ar. on Monday 3-5-18. Checked with dealer on Friday 3-2-18 truck was there and would be ready for pick up Monday at 8:00 am. Received a call on Sunday 3-4-18 informing me truck was not going to be available but there is going to be one at another location 40+ plus miles away(we go pick up) that was to be there at 10:00 am but could not guarantee. There was another truck in Mira, La. that I could pick up at 9:00 am so had to spend 21/2 hrs.(100+ miles round trip) Monday morning going to get truck instead of loading. Was given small reduction in price and extra day but no explanation as why origin truck was no longer there just that's the best we can do. Very frustrating.BRET Z.
