The owner/manager is incredibly dishonest and disorganized. I was overcharged for mileage by almost double. I was charged for 6 gallons of gas when I showed the employee before and after pictures of the tank filled at exactly 5/8th. If I ever need a truck again I will certainly not use this location and may not use uhaul unless I’m refunded the money they stole. I have a support ticket with reference 4666580.
MITCHELL MILHEIMTook an incredibly long time to pick up the van when I had already done all the online check in procedures. They also did not give me any printed rental papers or printed receipt, So I did not know what I was being charged until the next day. Unprofessional.
Matthew CarissimiI reserved online for a 15' truck plus an orange dolly and the four-wheel furniture dolly. The furniture dolly was not provided because the staff said they just don't have any. When I made the reservation, it said all equipment was available at that location. The missing dolly resulted in my needing to pay for an extra hour of labor for my movers. This has left me extremely disappointed and to the point of anger that I had additional costs out of pocket due to this location's inability to get me the equipment I reserved and had confirmation for.

Henry BangertWhen I went to pick up, the truck was covered in several inches of snow. I went back inside to ask for a scraper since we were driving a rental and did not have one with us, and the attendant told us the last person took it and didn’t return it. I had to wait quite a while for it all to defrost. The lock to the door was also frozen and extremely difficult to unlock. It would have been nice if the truck we reserved in advance was actually prepared for us at pickup.

Lori MartinI have been overcharged for the service. when I talked to the customer care, they told me that I will incur a total fee of ~41$ plus taxes (fare breakup: 19.95$ for the booking, 15$ for insurance, and 6.32$ for 8 mile drive). I see that I have been charged 30$ for insurance now, and additional 39.9$ as some MI charge. I completely filled the gas tank back to its original level. Not going to recommend UHaul to anyone.
Chandan JoishiI was only supposed to be charged a total of $35, I didn’t go over the provided 40 miles and I returned it full of gas and you all charged me double what I was supposed to be charged. I’m thinking of filing a law suit for false advertisement to be honest.
Justin BlackburnThe store employee did not explain that I would get a text from U-Haul upon pickup to “checkin” and look over the vehicle. I got that text when I got to my destination and I could not complete it because I was not at the pickup location.

Adrian WillisThe truck had literally no gas in it. The first thing I had to do was go get gas. The passenger front corner at the top was busted and the inside was wet with water. The app didn’t work to allow me to pick the truck up without going in. The gas station is sketchy and stinks. The people working acted like they had no idea what was going on.
Tyler FarnsworthLocation was helpful when TRUCK SHARE did not work on my phone. The process is slow, jumpy and DOES NOT utilize the pre-registration info I took the time to enter when I booked the truck on-line. Don’t ask me twice for the same info!!!!

Kristina BombergerMake sure the truck is not falling apart. We had issues with the tire pressure monitoring system, a loose side mirror, headlight dial missing. These cause serious safety issues. Does nobody check the trucks beforehand? Amazing that we didn’t get hurt or hurt somebody else.

JOHN ROHRThere was no issue with the location of the pickup location, but my vehicle in particular was parked in a way that made it next to impossible to get out of the lot. I had to spend a good amount of time slowly maneuvering out, in order to not hit the anything that would damage the vehicle.

Kaitlin WhittyI choose this location because it was a convenient drop off location. When I went into the store to turn in my keys, the clerk told me that I could not leave it there because there were too many vehicles there already and that I would have to call a phone number and gave me the address, which was about 15 minutes away. I was not pleased at all but I called anyway. The location was closed. I spoke to the clerk again. He gave me another phone number, I assumed a supervisor. This person told me that too many already left vehicles there who were not scheduled to drop off. I told him that I was scheduled to drop it off and I was fulfilling my contract and that it was not problem they took extra vehicles. I was very upset and he hung up on me. I again went to the clerk and told him that I was leaving the truck and it was not my problem. He told me that they were in the food mart business and not a uhaul business and was argumentative. I put my keys on the counter and left and told him this was bullshit. After a long day of moving and fulfilling my contract this is not the experience someone should have. I have rented from uhaul many times without issue and this experience will cause me to look to another company in the future. Is this the type of location that represents uhaul values?? It should not be in my opinion. The clerk was demanding - never asked if I would mind dropping off at another location, but instead demanded that I do something else and could not even tell me whether that would count towards extra mileage - he said I would need to talk to uhaul about that. This was the perfect example of the poorest customer service I have ever experienced in my life!!!
Gary GawdydaWhen I arrived on Tuesday August 15th, they told me that my drop off location was changed. I called the traffic number provided and they communicated that I could drop off at the Victorian Village Market. I went back in and communicated the conversation that I had with traffic. They reluctantly took my key. On Thursday morning I received an invoice stating that I had returned the truck on Wednesday August 16th and got billed an extra day. I am currently working with customer service to get this resolved.

Eleanor GiermanNot sure how to answer - location was ok for a standalone Uhaul location but a little confusing when returning. Didn't know I had to return via the app. The truck was clean enough but as far as well maintained I did notice it needed an oil change. Bottom line if the location works for people, as it did me, then I would recommend. I'm glad the gas charge was credited back to me since I did put gas in the truck to get it back to close to when I got it. It's pretty hard to get exactly.

Jillian TishkoIf a friend was moving near there in Columbus, the location would be good. The side door on our van was very hard to open and close. It actually opened up on us on the highway while our van was full of stuff. Luckily nothing fell out. But it did the job.

Kelly ElwellVehicle was not inspected correctly before being issued; Brights did not work and actually just turned all lights off, this was extremely dangerous the first time I attempted to use them. The trailer leaked over some of my belongings (I understand there is a warning sign about this possibility but still no good) and the driver side windshield wiper would frequently get out of synch with the other and/or fly off the side of the windshield and get stuck, requiring me to manually push it back on (also very dangerous in the rain). And finally, when I went to check out, there was a SNAKE in the vehicle, crawling out of the passenger side floor seam. It was docile when I found it but I would literally be dead if it had decided to explore while I was driving. Just a lot of really inexcusable oversights for one encounter, disappointing.

Dean CarnevaleWhen I arrived to return the vehicle the staff at the location told me they did not have time to process my return. They told me they would not have time until 9:00 pm, approximately 4.5 hours after I arrived. They also responded with exasperation when I explained that I had been unable to use the digital return option through the U-Haul website. Multiple staff members were extremely rude and dismissive of my desire to ensure that I was complying with the terms of my contract. After it became clear they they had no intention of helping me return the vehicle, I left and called the U-Haul customer service number to ask that a note be made on my reservation indicating that I had indeed returned the vehicle on time and in accordance with the terms of the contract.

Johnie LambertMobile pick up was not working. Clerk made us wait over 35 minutes until he waited on us to get the truck. Pads were not available. Told to fill up the truck. When I got in - there was only a quarter tank of gas in the vehicle. I filled it to half a tank upon return, so I essentially gave this establishment $20 in gas, after their poor service.
Kristina FarahThis was the drop off point for a one way rental. It's a dirty, uninviting liquor store with bullet glass and clueless staff members, who DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE RENTAL. The manager told me I couldn't leave it there because he had no space for the truck. He told me I could call customer service, but he couldn't take the truck...over and over again. I honestly didn't understand this lack of professionalism. This person represents YOUR PRODUCT! After a lot of loss time he finally allowed me to leave the equipment on his property but it was a real pain in the eye!
