We had nothing but trouble since the early morning. We went went to pick up using the App and had trouble with scanning the driver license. We called the help line and the told us to try the online web based UHaul login. After 20 min of trying to complete my online check in, we found our 26' truck sandwiched between a fence and another 26' truck along the side of the building. Knowing that there was someone going to rent this truck, you would think they would have this ready and easily assessible by the customer. Next, when using the word combination lock, it wouldn't release. We had to wait until 9am for the place to open. At 9am, owner had trouble himself. At this time, he had other customers entering his store and he ended up servicing them while i waited. After checking out his other customers, he then went and hammered the lock opened. Next obsticle was a frozen roll up door. He poured water in it and was able to release it. The latch mechanism for roll up was rusty and sticky (poor maintence). He had to kick it and hammer it. He said to me to keep a hammer close by. At this time, it is now 930am. I was supposed to pick up at 730am. Now i have the truck and drove home. Had to get hammer to release the latch. I had ro lubricate the latch myself so it would work properly and not stick. When i returned the vehicle and left, the place charged me an extra $16 for fuel charge. After calling them they saud they would remove it ad i had pictures of the gas gauge befor le pick up and after refueling. No refund was issued. I then drove to the store amd spoke to him face to face. He again said he wi get some other guy to refund me. Fast forward 5 days later, no refund. Called Uhaul hotline and they refunded me immediately. If your trying to move on a timeline, don't bother renting from this location. Drive the extra 25 to 30 mins to another location. Thank you.
