Communication could be better.
David CHad problems with my app and the location had problems with website. Took much longer to pick up van than it should have
JODIKIM WI was originally picking up in Holbrook at 7am and 1-2 days prior I was told that the truck was in for repairs and was sent to Patchogue to pick up at 8am. I got there and was told that I couldn’t be given the truck. The person who signs them out was not in due to a family tragedy and there was no one else who knew how to sign them out. So my wife and I called the Holbrook location and after about 20 minutes on the phone they got everything figured out and we were able to get the truck. We then had to drive to the Holbrook location to pick up the equipment we bought ahead of time as the Patchogue location did not have it. So I do not recommended the Patchogue location unless you want to be put behind and deal with not knowing what you are getting. Thank god for Dustin at the Holbrook location for getting everything figured out and having great customer service.

Paul AActually having the truck available at the actual location I selected would be a good start. I also did not receive the moving blankets I ordered which resulted in a lot of damage to my personal belongings as I had nothing to protect them with. It also began to pour for hours and without the blankets, my things got soaked and brand new rugs dirty as I had nothing to lay down.
Joe ESketchy as crap. You better know what you're doing to get a trailer in that yard. Terrible. Thankfully, I know what I'm doing.
Stephen BI made a reservation for a different location with a different size truck with a "100% Guarantee," and was called the day before my move telling me they didn't actually have that truck, but could give me a smaller one from a different location further from my home. They assured me I still had the equipment I rented. I took the smaller truck because it was the day before my move and I didn't have a choice. I got to the new location for the smaller truck and they tell me they don't have any of the equipment I had ordered. I had to drive 25 minutes to another Uhaul location to separately rent the equipment. No one was apologetic, no one offered anything other than 30 extra miles on the truck, which I didn't need anyway. All around terrible experience with the company, though the location itself had nothing to do with it.

LOU FThe indicated gas level on the truck when I took it out from the dealer was not accurate on the sheet. I took a picture of gas level after the truck had been driven one mile - it was 5/8 of a tank and supposed to have been 7/8th. I drove the truck eleven miles - put 10 dollars gas in which filled it back up to little more than 3/4 tank. I showed picture to the guy that rented me the truck - he said he'd take care of it but then charged me for 16 dollars worth of gas! WILL NEVER RENT FROM THAT LOCATION AGAIN.

Scott MI reserved a uhual for one location at at 9:30. Had to go to another location at 11:30. Then when I was told they didn’t have a truck for me either I had to go to a third town for 1:30. Finally getting a truck 5 hours late on my move in day. I had movers and cable provider expected to come and had to move everything around. I cant believe I had to pay a single penny.
Jason RAlthough the van rental was $19.95, there was a charge of $1.00 per mile and you are require to re-fill the gas tank. My cost was nearly $100.00 and I used the van for less than three hours.

RON SI wasn’t sure where to leave the vehicle because they were closed and the two spots in front had trucks parked there. Knowing in advance to park on the street would have been good. My friend told me to park there because he sees U-Haul there all the time. If not for him I wouldn’t have thought it was okay to park there. Other than that no issues

SEAN WI was a little upset that it was $1.39 a mile for a Saturday pick up when I was told to pick it up on Saturday because they were closed Sunday. On your website it said $.99 a mile. But other then that everything was fine.
JOANNE BDid not go over how to drive vehicle (limited tips) and showing where things are in the vehicle. Helpful on what roads can/cannot drive. Was not the location requested in fact it was 7th location away.

I have a beef with the corporate regional reservations people as the equipment promised was not available at the reservation location and I had to drive 100 miles round trip to pick it up! No way to run a business. The regional rep for LI NY was very terse. This location, though - excellent!

SHARAFAT KNothing at this time. Only problem truck cargo lift light was always on and door indicator kept dislaying open even when slammed shut. Might need to inspect.
ANGELITA MNeed to have more larger trucks 20' or bigger .The van and trucks were clean and updated.The owner needs more staff when he is busy with a customer on the phone somebody else can handle the moving trucks or other business.So the wait time won't be too long. Overall the owner was very nice ..I will use this Uhaul company again and I will recommend too friends ..
LAQUASHA HIt was a great experience, I would have liked to know ahead of time I was getting bucket seats as you then can only have driver and 1 passenger.
GRACE DEmployee was very helpful, my only complaint is the space, it's pretty much a back in and back out kind of thing. I dont think this is Tomar's fault as much as it is the location itself. I live in this area, and there isn't much space. They said they dont get many of these 5x8 trailers anyhow. The small area is the only reason I don't recommend it and it is nothing against Tomar Automotive, just a fact of Main St. in Patchogue.
