The folks working there insisted on checking your vehicle in when you technically can do it yourself. I later realize additionally charges were added for some reason that didn't make sense and suspect that is when they were so insistent on checking the vesicle in.They waited until a few minutes after the drop off time/date to check it in and added a late charge instead of checking the truck in 2 days earlier when it was actually brought back. The internet connection for this area was bad so i wasn't able to easily check the truck back in via cell phone (Consumer Cellular). otherwise I could have easily have done the self check in of the truck. I would not drop off at this location going forward, i feel like the people are trying to sneak extra charges on unsuspecting people.I did call customer service and got the credit back on the late charge but still don't know what "Flat Tax" was so I suspect that maybe also be a add on charge for no reason.Kenneth Y.

Make sure client understands the mobile check in process for when the location is closed. It was not an easy process and I lost about 45 minutes trying to get the truck. U-Haul chat agent was unresponsive and taking too long and the U-Haul website kept saying my session expired every time I tried logging in. Calling U-Haul was no help either. Location, however was great and convenient. I wish they were able to give the combination to the lock box instead of U-Haul because it would have made the process so much easier.Kimberly Z.

Location was very good however, the app for self pick up and return was not very user friendly and had a lot of issues using it. For the return, the app asked for a picture of the odometer and gas gauge for confirmation. I took the picture over 20 times but the app wouldn't accept the picture even when the odometer numbers and gas gauge were very clear and readable. I couldn't use the app to return the vehicle and had the location personnel complete the return.Jose R.

My key wasn't in the lock box. Wasted an hour of my time trying to locate it with customer service. The mechanic shop was closed so they couldn't help. I paid $2 a mile compared to $1 normally. Also there was no dolly or furniture pads in the back. Not satisfiedMike H.

The U-haul online ordering process is awful. Multiple times now I've reserved a trailer less than 10 miles from my house only to have to drive 40+ miles to pick it up since you change the location. Provide the customer with the worst case scenario and delight them when they don't have to drive as far...that's called CUSTOMER SERVICE!DOUGLAS O.

While I understand that I arrived 10 minutes prior to their closing and there was a problem with the pricing of my reservation, they literally told me to take it up with until- that they couldn't help me and left me at their location. Alone. The one employee offered to take me to the bus station? I thought that they could've extended a bit more help in helping me with the rental. After all I would imagine a haul branch would want to help their customers not to mention I could be a future customer for future car repairs. Thank god for Mike at the Toms River branch for staying on the phone with me and helping me through the truck share and making sure I got into the truck safely.ALEXANDRI G.

The guy at the front counter was pretty rude and he had no idea that there was even an app for Uhaul. He kept asking me if I was sure that I had rented a truck through Uhaul - which was both condescending and misogynistic. I would have rather taken the risk by going to another location that couldn't guarantee a truck than go back there.Caelin M.

we could not access the vehicle for 2 hours we tried to call the office and no one ever called to help us then we called the 1800 Uhaul # and got disconnected several times finally we accessed it our self. we had people waiting and paying for several hours of time that we were sitting in a parking lot the worst experience we ever had in renting a moving truckbrian J.
Make sure the truck interior dimensions correspond to what is described online for any particular size truck. What was described online, on the U-Haul website as an interior 15 feet by 7 '8" turned out to be 12 '8" by 7'8", together with a small storage area over the cab. This difference severely limited my ability to transport my intended load,JOHN L.
