We made a reservation for a 1-way 15' moving truck days in advance. The day of our reservation, we called the store to notify them we were running 30 minutes behind due to traffic. When we arrived the staff was helpful and check-in was fine, until we were told our reserved truck was not available. We were not given another one because they did not have any other trucks available. Our reservation was transferred to another location and we asked for compensation due to the inconvenience. We were advised to ask for compensation at the transfer location. At the second Uhaul pick-up location, the employee did not know we were coming, although we were told differently. He laughed when we asked for compensation and said that it wasn't really his fault and he shouldn't have to provide the compensation. He then offered to waive the "$5 environmental fee" by paying it from his own pocket. Details of our reservation seemed "lost" and were quoted higher than we had reserved online. We called customer service and requested to speak with the original location, Sharon declined transferring me and said she would help. She was very abrasive and I requested a copy of my call. She disconnected me and I was never able to receive a copy. At 3:55 PM we FINALLY got a truck. What should've taken less than a day ended up taking 2 days. We did not receive any paperwork and were not required to sign any documents. We did not feel comfortable in several of our interactions with different employees. We experienced a lot of frustration and have received no compensation nor has Uhaul attempted to contact us. We have written to customer service over a week ago and have not heard from anyone. Very disappointed in this "guaranteed reservation", customer service, and employee interactions we experienced.
