Customers need to be provided with documentation or a web link, that explains Uhaul policy on how the customers personal information is handled. Specially, the copying of their drivers license (front and back). This policy Uhaul has to copy someone’s drivers license is very dangerous and, if the information were to fall in to the wrong hands it could cause the holder of the drivers license unwarranted problems with lost of money and or identity theft. Someone with an editing program and proper copying equipment could print out these saved drivers license. Uhaul claims that the information is deleted at the end of the contract but I know of no data that is not backed up somewhere. I have made Uhaul aware of this and hope that it has not fallen on death ears. I will follow up with sending them something in writing as a record.

The price per mile is too much. You charge $.99/ mile is too much for a local move when other companies charge $.59/ mile. You should charge less for moves less than 100 miles and returns on Sunday should be a free day.

Personnel (Matthew) could not explain why I was charged an extra day when the vehicle was returned on time. He stated that he entered the mileage, but did not enter the return time and stated that I would have to call the 1-800 number. He further stated that he could not make any changes to account. This is totally unacceptable.

I was very unhappy. I was given a dirty truck, had to rent a refrigerator dolly from another location and the air conditioner in the truck did not work. 1800 miles through the southern United states in temperatures 90 plus was horrible. I have rented many times from uhaul and this was beyond awful.

Was charged a $25 cleaning fee after dropping off a truck at this location. I drove the truck with newly refinished furniture from Wilmington, NC to Rocky Mount, NC to drop off. All of the furniture had been in a climate controlled storage facility and was freshly wiped down prior to going on the truck. It was delivered to a newly remodeled home and the ramp was setup on their front step. The truck was turned in a day early and in the same condition as it was when I picked it up. I called the location to get an explanation and was told that the interior was dirty, fingerprints on the windshield and trash left in the cab and that the truck hadn't been swept out and blankets not folded. I spent no more than 4 hours in the cab, never touched the windows, didn't leave trash in the interior and didn't leave a speck of extra dust in the bed. I was admittedly unaware of the blankets needing to be folded but the blankets given to me smelled soiled and I assumed they got washed after use. I was informed the moving blankets don't ever get washed?? I will never drop off a truck again without taking very clear photos of the condition of the truck. Also, I'm thinking Harbor Freight for moving blankets. The fact they never get washed is disgusting.

It seems ridiculous to me that the car hauler I rented is only $54 per day if I return it to the same location but it I drop it at a different location, it’s is twice the amount. Has anyone realized that using the trailer one way is putting half the miles on your equipment? Seems like a way to stick the customer. If I had any other choice, I would have cancelled once I found out this news. Ridiculous!
