joan W.it's hard to rate this place. they are closed sunday when we dropped the truck off. there was a 24 hour drop box but no signage as to where to leave the truck. very confusing. it's also a garage and all the bay doors were closed, so we parked it on the sidewalk in front of the bay doors. Other than it being a bit confusing, it was close to JFK airport and fairly easy to find.

This is a very dangerous not to have a way to change or even lower tire from under rental van . And they uhaul rep just wanted to discount me a day! So 6 hours of my day is worth $20.00. Very disapointing! I need somebody to call me I don't want to be charge full price.

Robert M.I wouldn't recommend this U-Haul location to a friend because I had issues with the charges at the end of my usage. I took a photo of the mileage before I left from the parking lot and after I got back. The milage on the truck had an additional 20 miles on it. I also Google GPS my mileage of the exact trip and it was under 20 miles yet they charged me for 25 miles. When I inquired about the extra 5 miles, the lady insisted that the meter said I drove 25 miles when I know for fact that both photos that I took were only a difference of 20 miles. I brought it to the attention of the lady giving me my bill and instead of correcting the situation or addressing that their meter might have been off, she looked for other ways to make me have to pay the extra miles and said "so we'll just call it even then". I told her I wasn't going to argue with her over the amount, it wasn't that much money however, I would not go back there to do business and I would not recommend others going to that location as well. I will say that the staff overall was pretty nice and the truck was very clean and well maintained but that portion of the situation changed my outlook on the company. I thought it was very unprofessional. In addition to that, the quote that I got online was completely different when I arrived on scene. The quote should have included the additional weekend use charges and everything else. Although I accepted that, I just could not get over them charging me an additional 5 miles that I did not use.

MICHAEL E.My complaint is actually directed to Uhaul customer service, not the drop off location. When I wanted to drop off the truck, I realized that the drop off location does not allow after-business-hours drop offs. So I contacted Uhaul to change the drop off location to another nearby location. After spending 45 minutes on the phone and talking to different people, I was told that they could do nothing for me, and that it was my own responsibility if the truck got lost by choosing an alternative drop off location, and strongly advised me not to do so. Because of Uhaul's customer service being unhelpful, I had to park the truck at JFK airport overnight, spend an extra night in NYC, and return the next day only to drop off the truck. That cost me an additional $95 (parking, tolls, gas, cab fare, extra miles driven) whereas a simple modification in my reservation could have saved me time, energy and money. I am so disappointed at Uhaul.

CHARLES L.Contract # 91921040 I stood in front of the U Haul clerk for 11/2 hours because her computer kept going down. She finally called another station to write the contract and they did it wrong and I was overcharged about $100. For three days I have been calling Amanda at 718 522 4924. She is never there and she never returns phone calls. This is an excellent way to chase away customers. There are other truck rental places beside UHaul and next time I rent I will find one of them
MICHAEL S.The Uhaul office is very hard to find. The furniture mats I rented were filthy, moist, and had bugs crawling on them. I was not able to use them.

JERMAINE L.My sister-in-law was moving from NY to VA and requested help from me since I live in VA. I requested a location closer to downtown Brooklyn, and made plans to travel from my home in VA to NY based on the pickup location I had selected. Then the day before I was scheduled to travel there, I got a phone call telling me I would have to pick up the truck 15 miles away from the pickup location I had chosen. So I had to change my plans, spend more money, and waste my time. Once I got a couple minutes away from the pick up location, I noticed that I only had a quarter tank of gas, not the half tank that was written on the contract. On the one hand, I guess it's my fault for not double-checking before I left. On the other hand, shame on Uhaul for being dishonest.

Big downside. and why not a accessory section but not the end of the world on this one. Also the people at this location are friendly and patient
