I had a terrible experience at this uHaul location. The truck had dirty windshields, trash on the inside, very low on gas, and had a hole in the truck bed. The uHaul representative charged me 2 days. He went back on his word when he told me I could return the truck at 6:30pm the next day without charing me any extra.Michael L.

I will never use U-Haul again! What a horrible experience. Trouble Free Auto Sales Rentals is the name of the location, and it was nothing but trouble! Firstly, Customer Service got my order information incorrect and I had to get transferred to a scheduling manager to update the order. The location nearest me was absolutely the most unprofessional location I've ever dealt with. The owner, James, was rude, vague and hung-up on me when I needed his assistance regarding returning the rental. The truck was filthy inside and out and James' demeanor was that of someone who just didn't care about promoting return business. I think U-Haul should should be more involved with businesses they vend out to and do onsite service checks. Again, i will ever use this company again.TROAS N.

No employees were there for drop off, even though we arrived during business hours. Talking with surrounding businesses, this is common. We ended up having to park the uhaul in a McDonalds across the street and struggled to find a key drop off point. We tried to leave a message, but the voicemail box was full. The associate was rude, impatient, and uncooperative. He wanted to leave his business early and allowed me no time to inspect the truck. He instructed me to quickly find illegal street parking for the uhaul so he could get it out of his lot faster. I had to leave my personal vehicle parked at the business until I could park the uhaul elsewhere. This process took about 5 minutes, during which he attempted to lock my personal vehicle into his business. Fortunately my partner was standing at my vehicle so he couldnt lock the gate, but he got agitated and started harassing her to move my personal vehicle out of the lot, despite being told repeatedly she was neither licensed nor insured. This was, by far, the worst experience Ive had with uhaul. Poorly maintained equipment, abusive employee, and requests for illegal activity.Sadie N.

The van itself was new and in great shape. The cab had the previous renter's garbage in it. A half drank coke can, an empty Gatorade bottle. I couldn't do a mobile check-in there like I wanted, I had to go inside the owner's office to check out the van.JASON T.

The truck was dirty and smelled so badErlan R.
So few trucks were available that I had to go 13 miles across LA just to get one. But these logistical problems are really on U-Haul and not the local dealer. Ignoring that, the actual lot was fine. I'd recommend this lot in the event of other truck shortages in SoCal, because they miraculously had multiple trucks and seemed to have reliable ways to get them. If you're nearby this is also a no-brainer. One thing the dealer could have checked for: there were ants in the cab of the truck. Probably not an infestation, but like the last user had tracked a bunch of ants inside on their shoes, and once I got going they came out and swarmed my sandwich. Some ant spray did the trick, but this might be a deeper issue. Clearly some maintenance is needed on the cab, but I think this is beyond what the local dealer can do. The cab itself was not well sealed. Both doors closed very loosely and let a lot of noise in once on the freeway. The result was a very hot and very loud 8-hour drive (my ears are still ringing) that let wildfire smoke into the cab.Matthew F.
Poor customer service, I didn't get what I reserved. Lack of comunicaciÃ³n between U-Haul a locations. Over charge prices when it comes to gasoline and hidden fee that never explained. The cover rate when I got there the guy didn't even told me I was getting charge the maximum coverage. I have used the service couple of times before but this time is the last time I will use this company. I will meee Recomend this place to no one.Julio G.

Horrible location. I called 2 days in a row for assistance and to ensure everything went smoothly. There was no answer and they had a full inbox so I could not even leave a message (if they were even going to check). Upon arrival there was nobody there and no indication for help. I can back the following day and again nobody there to help. The location was incredibly dirty with no designated area to drop off U-Haul.Matthew C.

Windshield was really dirty, candy stuck to the center console and ants in vehicle. I had to clean the center console and then kill ants most of the trip. Also so much heat coming from the engine bay that my right foot is still swollen.Kenneth Z.

When we were ready to drop off our rental, the location was not open and no one was answering the phone. The gate to the parking lot was locked with a padlock. After waiting for many minutes and calling several times, we had no choice but to leave the UHaul truck parked on the street and check it in via the phone app. We have since called to make sure the truck was ok, but still no answer and no call back.Colleen Louise B.

over charged and returned the truck the same day they lied bout the gas tank being half full when i got in the truck the tank was at a quarter tank when i brought the truck back they made it seem like i spend a whole quarter tank refused to give my money back avoid any problems and find a better uhaul not a self owned one they where so unproffesional.ALEXANDRA M.

If you are planning on renting a truck from UHaul beware. I rented a truck on Saturday and returned it on Sunday and was charged for 2 days. I tried to return it on Sat. evening after hours but there was no parking available so I had to go back twice on Sunday to find a parking space and they charged me for an extra day. I would normally rent from Penske, but this was an emergency so I tried UHaul out, that was a bad idea and mistake. Warning to all, DO NOT rent from UHaul unless you don't mind paying extra. I will have to share this experience with all of my advertising buddies so they don't make the same mistake.ROBERT W.

The cab was dirty. The muffler was louder than Indy 500. The odometer read 10 miles more than paperwork and gas tank was less than a 1/8 when paperwork read 1/4 tank. Unfortunately we did not take a picture to prove our point.It'll be unlikely we use UHaul again.david C.

the gas tank was left under 1/8th of tank. The lady set it at 1/4. She told me she would reimburse me when I returned it as I needed to stop twice to fill it to the same level. No reimbursement was given. I also had to check the back of truck which was parked on the street 2 blocks away to make sure the dolly was in it. It was not and after loading up in to the truck I had to return to the u hall company to get the dolly. Very unprofessional and inconvenient. I received no itemized record of my bill.Deborah H.
EQUIPMENT: The truck was fairly old, I guess that's ok. The only thing that I hated was that the side mirrors were protruding too much. OTHER ASPECTS: drop off was very complicated, this location closed early ( I tried to return the U-Haul at 4:15) It was really hard to find parking... after calling Uhaul I had to return it to a different location, that information was never shared among parties. Was not informed the truck did not have a ramp, was not informed that the truck was not tall enough to fit my standard refrigerator when I explicitly told the owner of the business I was moving a standard fridge plus boxes and a bed... owner did not recommend the correct vehicle or the correct equipment for the move. I am not happy at all. I've never had this problem with Uhaul in the 16 years I've been renting U-Haul trucks.annabelle V.

You overbooked. You didn't have a truck available for me even though I had a reservation. I had to use a van, which was not really sufficient for the job at hand. Office attendant was nice, but unprepared for an overbook scenario. Manager did not offer me anything to remedy the booking mistake. I booked online through uhaul, not a third party. Uhaul's customer service and reliability are horrible. I have never had such a bad experience with any other company as yours. I have tried to speak to someone to make a formal complaint but no one wants to listen. I get told to call various numbers and no one has called me back.
