Fix the gas gauge on this truck. it was very stressful as it registered empty the whole time, including after we put in $15 gas on a <20 mile run.

Customer service was sub par, as he led us through the maintenance area to our rented vehicle - which felt particularly unsafe. Upon return, I waited in the truck as requested by the sign but no one came out. So I went inside to find the two people slouched over the desks on their phones. My card was initially charged with the estimate - and then charged again for the full amount - when there should have been a less than $10 charge overall to complete the payment. This is a constant struggle for us with Uhaul every time we use the vehicles. If I could find another way to rent a flat bed truck to pick up a piece of furniture, I would.

The only problem I have is that 2 days after I had already made my agreement with U-Haul, my drop off location was changed and unavailable. I had to spend more money and inconvenience the owner of the vehicle that I used to pull the U-Haul trailer and inconvenience to myself. I would not use U-Haul again unless I had no other option. If U-Haul cares about its customers, some sort of compensation should be given.

Tried and failed to rip me off by putting a untied dolly in the vehicle as well as lying about the gas not being filled back to where it was. Y'all some crooked ass mofos

I was told there was a half a tank of gas and would be charged if the truck wasn't returned with the same level. The tank was actually well below a half a tank. I traveled 45 miles and put in three gallons of gas over what I used. Honesty was not the priority. We also had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to check us out...representing time wasted. Not an overall positive experience.

Trying to get my money even now that was in November this is in DecemberBe honest with your customers if they have a really fun make sure they get the money back people deserve honesty especially when they paid out the money they are due a refund back if they do not use whatever they paid for our cancel and I am looking for my money back now still

I have trying to find the email receipt that was supposedly sent to me after I checked the vehicle back in for 25b minutes now. The experience was great except for this part. Why the @#$% didn't anyone ask me if I wanted a receipt when I returned the truck?!?? The guy told me that a receipt was sent to my email address but where the @#$% is it?

They were super busy when we arrived (it was the first weekend of the month) and Justin was working hard! He had two computers going keeping two lines of customers moving along. I was super impressed at how well he handled everything under a ton of pressure. He was efficient, friendly, and professional and got us in and out in no time.

Eric was completely non communicative from the moment we walked into the location at 8 am, with one other customer in there browsing. He ignored us for the first five minutes. When we finally managed to get his attention and start the check out of our rental vehicle, things just went more downhill. When we tried to add on a secondary driver, he just waved a hand at us and ignored our requests to add a driver on. When it came time to pay, he rushed us through the process and brushed off our questions, so the person signing the paperwork wasn’t even the person that the vehicle was rented under. THEN we were told the vehicle would have 3/8ths of a tank and to fill it back to that when we brought it back. The tank was not filled to 3/8ths, but the regular (I presume) 1/8th, so we took photos to have on hand when we returned. He also managed to run over and wedge an orange traffic cone into the back wheel while driving it out to us and either didn’t notice it, or didn’t bother to take it out, so we did. Upon return we had a much better experience with a different person checking us in, and had no problems when we showed them our photo records of the tank differences. All in all, would not go back here at risk of dealing with Eric again.

I drove 11 miles, and yet to fill the tank took 3.5 gallons. Unless your truck gets 3.14 MPG, this means it was not full when I picked it up. Chat support was no help, simply repeating that the fuel gauge said full upon pickup. This is true - the fuel gauge said full. But it was obviously not full. If the ONLY requirement is that the fuel gauge says full upon return, then next time I’m going to top it off with a garden hose.

The momento OF checking at the counter the clerck did provide information in a courteous way. He didn't verify the level of gas and just handed out the paperwork stating that the truck was having a wee hater when it wasn't. It was almost empty. When I check it out in the early afternoon, the nice service of the employee outside the office was approachable and listen the discrepancy on the gas level. I will return for him, not for the guy he checked in at the morning.

Better customer service, very rude , paid way more for this item to take one way from Portland OR. To Bloomfield NM, then I paid for car hualer I rented from Virginia to Albany OR. When order was placed it was $460. When I picked up it was over $600 not including insurance and told if I got flat tire long the way I would have to pay over $200 to get it fixed. That dealer is very unprofessional. The place I dropped off was very nice , very friendly dealer and appreciated the business.

Trucks shouldn't be sent out with only a quarter tank of gas. First thing I had to do was go to the gas station to add 10 gals. Quick and easy from start to finish otherwise

This place was run so poorly. Bad customer service, and an employee even refused service because “they weren’t clocked in yet,” on top of that the rental truck was dirty when we received it and the list goes on.

I've been to this location several times when I suddenly had to move. So nice. Even when I brought back a damaged van. Pay for that damage waiver! But, my move went smoothly due in part to Uhaul. Their reliability and great customer service made a stressful journey so much easier to deal with. Thanks to everyone at 43rd and Powell in Portland OR!

Ordering online was a bit confusing, and I’m still not clear what the difference is from checking-in in store, checking in online, and using the app that I was constantly asked to try. Also I wasn’t happy with the overall cost. $0.89 per mile seems unnecessary on top of the original fee and having to buy gas before returning. I’ll definitely be using Home Depot’s truck rental service for future needs.

Truck smelled like cigarettes. The nickel and dime price scheme is a bit irritating. They charged me 5$ for using the pads eventho I didn’t use them. I bet they do that every time the dolly is used.

I used the online check-in/out feature. Our movers arrived late, so I called to our location to confirm that we could drop off our truck after hours and not be charged extra, and was told this would be fine. When I went to check-out after hours, the lot was blocked off, the online check-out feature did not instruct me how to return the key (which was lock-protected at the location), and over charged me for both time and SafeMove (I had opted for a $14 option and was charged $28). I was very pleased with the customer service at this location and the truck, as well, but wish the after hours services had worked out more smoothly. Thanks!

I moved 10 miles yesterday, yet I was charge a total of $250.00. I can't express how astonished I am. Yes, it is completely my fault for not dropping of the van at the same location where I rented it and I understand that, but to be charge a $182 one way fee? It feels like I have been robbed, and it is painful. I don't even see that charge advertised any where on the website, or my contract. Just to add salt to the wound, I spoke with Justin at this location, and although he was knowledgeable, there was no empathy. It felt like speaking to a wall which hurts even more. I have to borrow money to buy groceries for the week, because no one walks into U-Haul expecting to pay $250.00 to move less than 10 miles away! That $182.00 fee is something every customer should be aware off, and told when picking up a van. I should have known about a fee that high, because I am in a beyond shocked state right now.

Please fill your pick up trucks with gas prior to renting. It is not fun to try and figure out the exact amount to get to 1/4 of tank and then when coming up 2 gallons shy getting charged an additional $30. Its kind of BS, you can easily figure out the going rent fro gas and change accordingly.
