At one point I couldn't get the back door of the van to close, and then when I tried to open it, it wouldn't open. The handle on the inside was flopping all around. Next, they gave someone else the van I was supposed to have. Which made it impossible for me to do self-serve and forced me to go indoors, and wait in line. Also, the guy who was running the shop was unmasked in a small area that wasn't well-ventilated. But I give a big thumbs up to his assistant. He was very helpful and pleasant.JAY H.

The manager was rude to me to mind my own business he wasn't talking to me when he told the rep serving me that I could not have the rental for 24 hours. I said I reserved it for 24 hours that's when he said mind your business I am not talking to you. He was very angry and intimidating. On the day of the rental, I was told that there probably weren't any blankets or a hand truck. So I bought more over priced bubble wrap and tape. To my surprise when I opened the rear door everything was there. Up sale technique unethical. No one picks up the phones, we were calling for 1-2 hours on Saturday afternoon.Richard W.

The gas odometer on the truck was broken rented at a 1/4 tank returned on a 1/4 tank and was charged for gas excessively and was not explained to me why and when I called to discuss. The rep on the phone didn't believe and the charge remained. Unprofessional behavior and trucks in bad condition at the customer expense.Timothy F.

Best part was the convenient location and the truck was there to pick up. However truck was practically on empty when it was picked up. We only drove 20 miles when the empty light went on. When reserving the truck I ordered a box and dolly, neither were available at the pick up. Had to scramble to find blankets elsewhere.TODDL M.

UHaul employee was rude and the store wasn't open when I arrived. Then the employee yelled at me for waiting in the office even though the door was open. He then accused me of putting 100 miles in on the trip when I only put in 11. When I corrected him he said don't worry about it and it will get corrected. He was the only guy but would of liked a little better customer service as it was my first time using uhaul in NYC.AUSTIN H.

Truck was clean, but while driving it rattled, message about an open cap came on the dash board n it was closed, The mileage gauge wasn't accurate n I guess from so much use the truck looked worn. This location needs to stabilize items in back so they don't move all around while driving truck, deodorize truck so it could smell better n decongest the parking area some. Also, please assure that the phone is answered on a timely basis throughout the day n that when a customer leaves a message, they are called back .FRANCES G.

The associate was great and did his best to accommodate me and fix the issues but the equipment I ordered not being available as well as the truck being nasty and filthy made the experience very negative. Plus, when we returned the truck the location was closed and there was no where to park so we had to squeeze the truck into the lot which left the truck half on the sidewalk but we had no choice there was no legal parking space anywhere. Plus I wasn't told ahead of time that the truck had to be returned with the same level of gas so I had to pay a ridiculous charge for gas. That should be clear when you book the rental not after returned. Not a good experience at all. The only good thing was the associate but that was not enough to eliminate all the negative issues.Nadine M.

It was a grueling experience. The movers I booked in NYC through the Uhaul website were not reliable and it was not straightforward to change my movers / have it delivered through Uhaul itself. I finally did get this done after a 1-2h long phone call. The Container delivery through Uhaul could not be performed on the day I had selected a month in advance so I had to make alternate plans. Even so, the container was dropped off and picked up before schedule. The individuals I interacted with were helpful but I wish the process would go as it was actually booked. i ordered and confirmed a hand truck (dolly?) with the order. i was informed *at the location* that there was no hand truck. this was unexpected and made the move extremely difficult. also, i do not recall picking up the van on a full tank. it was less than full. i purchased gas to get it back to the original level at pick up and was charged $8 for gas. what gives??? no hand truck even reserved and charged for gas? no bueno. the agent/customer service representative who assisted me during pick up and drop off was great.CHERYLM M.

I reserved mobile pick up at 5pm and I didn't get my truck until 5:52pm . Yet I still got charged for 52mins wasted. Thankful for the customer support whom assisted after waiting on the call for 40mins. I won't recommend this location.Temilade A.
I used the mobile check in option for an easier and more COVID friendly service. I did have to get the keys from a staff member. All the staff were not in the office, it seemed they were working on stuff outside. When I left to see if someone could help me a staff member rudely stated I would just have to wait. It was already eating into my time, so I stated that and he shrugged and responded rudely that I would have to wait even if it was just for keys.
