Main problem was that I could not do online checkin. I was told I could do this when I reserved the truck. I was also told I would get instructions, but did not. The location made me wait until they opened to get the truck. Also checkout process was cumbersomeJeffrey D.
awful experience for my first ever rental van......windsheild and headlights were CAKED with bugs ! no effort from staff to clean for me....I had to drive it to nearest gas station and scrub off bugs with squeegee for half an hourPaul P.

Rented enclosed trailer to protect items from weather (rain). The roof and floor leaked, thankfully no items were damaged. The employees at UStoreit in Lisle IL. are rude and unprofessional. Brought back one hour and forty minutes past 24hr rental and was charged for another full day. If I am in need of a enclosed trailer again I will not be renting from UhaulJohn P.

U-Haul representative should come out to the vehicle with the customer and explain how to turn on windshield wipers,headlights, adjust the side mirrors and where the devil the gas goes when I needed to add some back etc. I drive an older car and couldn't even really figure out how to get the key out of the key fob. Also, the representative should explain the charges in advance. I was told When I put the reservation in that because it's the weekend it was $.89 a mile I assumed that would be covering the gas mileage but then when I got there I was told that I would have to put gas in it as well. Other than that it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to my friends. One more thing, it would be nice if you offered to senior citizens discount. With the high cost of everything and the fact that we live on a very limited income, it would be nice to have that included for the senior citizens. Thank you very much.Deborah S.

You guys ripped me off with the fuel!! I had the fuel level exactly where it was originally when I picked up the truck and I even dropped the truck off well before the expiration time. You had no problem taking my money but couldn't give me a credit for bringing it back early. Hey, might as well take advantage of the customer even more by scamming almost $6 a gallon for fuel. That's what keeps you in business though I guess. Bunch of scam artists.James D.

I rented a 26' truck. It had 177,000 miles on it. The cab light did not work, the tires were near bald, the front end was loose. I had asked if it was decent truck and your associate was honest saying so so. I was able to complete my move but would never rent a large truck from U-Haul againDavid B.

The actually gas level was lower than what the contract said. I was in a hurry to start my move, so I took a picture of the gas gauge with my cell phone, knowing that it would include the date and time. Because I was required to refill the gas higher than what I got it at, I ended up paying about $10 more in gas than I SHOULD HAVE!! I even showed the picture of the lower gas level on the dashboard taken about a minute after I pulled away from the U-Haul dealer to the U-Haul cashier. The cashier wouldn't do anything!! Why can't U-Haul do like other rental companies - rent it out FULL, return it FULL. No questions, no hassles about whether the gas level is 5/8, 3/4 or 7/8, etc.joe L.

I have one question. Mileage I under stand would have been .79 a mile. Fortunately under 20 miles. Is tgat the normal rare? If I were to take a student say to dark Iowa. That would be a lot. Are there better deals.dennis K.

I found the app/website difficult to navigate while traveling and planning a return of the trailer on a one way rental. I ended up pulling the empty trailer all the way back home because I was on time restraints. It was easier to do that than search for a location to drop off.stephen W.

The staff member at U Stor It was the only positive part of this experience. Uhaul assigned my drop off location as 4300 Lincoln Ave, Lisle Vape & Cigar Hut. I completed the drop off instructions on the app and discovered there was no drop box for the keys. When I went inside, the man at the store said they no longer work with Uhaul... I spent over an hour on the phone trying to speak with someone from Uhaul and find out what to do with the keys. I ended up taking matters into my own hands and dropped it off at the U Stor It nearby. They were happy to take it. AFTER all of that, I finally got ahold of someone at Uhaul to let them know I did their job for them and dropped the truck off elsewhere. I wil not be recommending Uhaul to anyone.Leslie F.
Charged $25 for a cleaning fee. The staff literally opened the trailer right in front of me and didn't say a word and made it seem like everything was great and then I get a bill for $25 for cleaning fee. Very deceptive business practices.Evan W.

You need to have a better supply of furniture blankets. Several nearby U-Haul locations were out of them as well, including one they sent me to that showed some in inventory but had none when I got there 15 minutes later. Otherwise, a great experience (except for the actual moving part, of course).Gary S.

The brakes on our truck were not catching properly. The passenger side windshield wiper flipped off, which we could tell had happened in the past because the windshield was scraped on the same side. Sadly, we needed that wiper due to rainy weather, but were unable to use it because it was broken prior to us picking up the truck. Additionally, the cover over the passenger side headlight was literally taped on when we picked up the truck. It blew off in the wind at some point. This truck should have been checked out prior to us picking it up and should not have gone out in the condition in which we received it.Elizabeth K.
