My rental experience was horrific. I booked the uhaul at one location and was told a few days before I'd have to pick the truck up from another. This required an additional 45 minutes of travel. Upon arriving at this new location the truck wasn't available. They had to call the person who was supposed to drop it off the previous day (not sure why that didn't happen when it wasn't turned in on time the previous day)... After which I was forced to waste an hour of my time waiting around at the uhaul site until that person turned in the truck. Unfortunately that was the least agregious issue with my rental. I then drove the truck 10 hours to my destination. I unloaded all my things into the new apartment and went to drop off the truck at the location it stated on the contract. Upon arriving at this station I was told they were full and didn't have any spots and I needed to go to another U-Haul drop off. At the next station they said the same thing. Upon arriving at a third station I was told that I was being duped and it was the responsibility of the station on my contract to accept me. I returned to the drop off station, fought with the owner about being able to leave it with them. Eventually, one of the employees (I believe the owners son) called their area manager, and recieved approval for another U-Haul location to accept the truck. At this point I was so fed up, I refused to drive to another station. The son agreed to then take it there for me after I requested it. Besides all the time of mine that U-Haul wasted, the added stress of dropping a truck off after 10 hours of driving and then unloading all of my families belongings really made this the worst moving experience of my life.SEANMICHAEL C.
Martina, the property manager, was AWESOME! She took the time to show us how to hook up our vehicle on the transport, was patient while we videotaped it so we would remember and even followed up and sent up links to on line videos. It was 90+ degrees outside but she was dedicated to taking care of the customer and showing us how everything worked. We are very grateful to Martina!TODD MICHAEL F.
This location was EXCELLENT! We had been promised equipment with a reservation @ U Store Brighton 5850 Whitmore Lake Rd Brighton, MI 48116 Date & Time: Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 9:00 AM Rental Period: 8 hours Equipment: 8' Pickup Truck and Auto Transport. They cancelled our reservation the Friday before our Saturday reservation and did not help in finding equipment. I would never recommend the Brighton location. The South Lyon helped us pick up the pieces and figure a way to get a truck from them and a trailer in Farmington. Both South Lyon and Farmington U Haul I would highly recommend. There were issues with the checkout. Not sure if it was an issue with the employee knowledge or the computer system, but it took a half hour to get my rental (even though it was ready to go outside and I had done all the prior check in stuff), and the employee had to call two different to help, and another came in to help with the line that was forming.Stephanie T.

My experience at this location was excellent. The issue I had was that the trailer was not available at the location where I had my reservation. This added an hour on my part as well as a location that was out of my way for my return.ROSARIO Q.

Drop off was after hours and was fine except I was unable to download the photo of trailer on the return check in site. I tried three times and couldn't. The U-Haul representative was nice and courteous, but the location had a closed gate during normal operating hours and it was not clear how to gain access. I used the intercom button on the push pad, but there was no answer. The representative happened to be taking out the trash and saw me waiting at the gate. This is how I entered the storage facility. Streamline your process. I have rented a truck several times in the past 3 months, and the system seems to take forever. It's not the fault of the rep, Martina, either. Not having a chair to sit on, per Covid-19 rules, exacerbates the problem for someone who has difficulty standing. Martina did offer a chair when I brought that up last time, but I had already set down on a flat dolly.DENNIS PATRICK P.
