They had the truck but didn't have the appliance dolly and moving blankets. We had to go and buy an appliance dolly and go to the Eubank location to get the moving blankets.
Valerie DeanThere was burnt garbage near the front door. The trailer had garbage in it. The U-Haul tech didn't check the lights. When I stopped by to buy bubble wrap there was a guy on his phone, so the other employee assisted. When I returned the trailer, I didn't get my receipt until the next day. The area where trucks are parked along San Pedro has glass from trucks being broken into in the U-Haul lot. Bad part of town and the reps seemed slow to respond.

roy safford | Overall ExperienceThe location had an equipment return location with clearly marked signs, which was excellent, but it was too close to the road and the 20ft moving truck plus auto dolly combination didn't really fit behind the truck that was already parked there without partially blocking traffic on the street. Also, there was no one at the equipment return location when I first arrived, and the person who came out to greet me was not wearing a name tag or anything to indicate that he worked for uhaul, nor did he provide me with any instructions or tell me what he was doing. He did very clearly know how to handle the truck though and maneuvered the auto dolly adeptly into the spot for it, so I assumed he really does work for uhaul.

terry robinsonWas there for several years. Andres was wonderful all that time. I was broken into in 2022. He was a great help during that trying time. But I was broken into again in 2023. I could not enter the unit due to bent door as a result of Dec 2023 vandalism. So Jan 2024 when it was not fixed I moved. Homeless people were everywhere including in the facility. Sleeping in the trash bin making that unusable, laying on the side of the building. Several gathering and sharing their finds. Obviously not a safe place to be. The door was unlocked frequently but when it was,one of the home less phoned inside and another came from inside and opened it! Please thank Andres for all the years of excellent care.

I insisted on a receipt and I was grudgingly checked out. The person I checked out with was unfriendly and put upon just for being asked to do his job. Neither associate is a salesperson; it was obvious that neither one wanted to be on duty. The people who checked me in were marvelous and should be given more hours.

Nicole ChamneyI had to move my belongings from one storage locker in NM to another storage locker in NM (Santa Fe to Ramah) Ramah/ Candy Kitchen was where my storage locker was, and is situated 40 miles south of Gallup, where I was supposed to deliver the uhaul. But, I had no way to return to ABQ, where my flight back to LA was waiting for me. Please subtract any mileage that was added when I had to drive from Gallup to Ramah and Vice Versa. As for the extra day, someone at the main UHaul number said I didn’t have to pay for the extra day because the people at Cubesmart, my Santa Fe storage unit lost the keys to the locker. This delayed the timeline on returning the truck on Sunday instead of Monday. Please reemburse me on that extra day too. Thank you.

MAURICE MOORTGATI reserved a truck and appliance dolly. When I arrived, the U Haul rep stated that they did not have an appliance dolly. He didn't offer to find one at another location, he just removed it from my contract. If a customer rents a piece of equipment, it is because they need it. A little effort by a customer service person goes a long way. There were two other employees at the counter doing nothing. They could have located another dolly while the first filled out my contract. Better yet, someone could have insured that the reserved equipment was available.

The equipment was in exceptional condition, and the serviceman who helped us hook up the trailer was concise, detail oriented and explained everything very well. My only concern is the actual location of this business. We stepped over hypodermic needles and dodged fairly undesirable individuals asking for money as we entered the location. I hope U-Haul industries is taking good care of their employees at this location. They deserve it!

It's in a rough part of town, and there were no security gates. The parking lot was frequently littered with broken furniture and other trash. I watched people taking drugs, others passing out on the sidewalk near the storage unit. So while the staff did their best to keep the facility secure and presentable, I did not feel particularly safe there.

I get here and the man didn’t even know if this facility had any and then put my in a 10’x10’ unit with nothing more than a $8 lock for free as compensation. Afterwards he said that he “thinks” they have 10’x15’ units just none available but he wasn’t even sure because he apparently didn’t know how to use the computer system that tells him what they have. If I wanted a 10’x10’ unit I could have chosen a more convenient facility than that one. I chose that one because it was supposed to be the only one in town with 10’x15’ units. I do not like having to stack boxes so high. One, I’m short, 2 if they fall, my stuff is broken and it’s on my dime to replace it. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income I can’t afford to replace my things. When I turned in my 6’x12’ enclosed trailer he just said he would send me an email for the return and I have yet to receive said email.

Put up a fence for crying out loud. I will never store anything at Uhaul ever again. The truck rentals are flipping awesome, stick to that.

Security, there is no fence surrounding the property, this means the property is at risk. The staff , only have good thing to say, Courteous and professional. This is near a military installation, and making good money on storage; however, it is a disappointment (because of Maintenance and security), which there’s no excuse for ;because, making good money on government storage. My trailer attached had also not had not had a proper safety check and look as though had been repaired( however, door came undone at destination). I will be seeking another storage facility in ABQ, I don’t feel safe and because of COVID-19 Cleanliness is a needed priority. This will create an inconvenience to me and cost me money. Because of the facility condition had no choice, but to carry insurance. I feel when a service is involved there are expectations for safety and cleanliness. .

I'd often try to pay my storage rent with $100 and seeing my rent was $95 I wouldn't think $5 in return would be huge strain but I was always treated like I was a nuisance. Items for towing, moving, storage and renting storage units are available to purchase but regardless no change. I found syringes in the elevator while visiting my unit on more than one occasion. Also my rent was going to be increased which prompted me to look at other facilities. Come to find out that I was paying much more compared to other Uhaul locations and with the increase at this location I was able to rent a bigger unit at a different location with better amenities. Other than the only Lady that works in the office the rest of the staff were unpleasant, unhelpful, rude and lazy. Never moving from in front of the computer screen or doing anything to genuinely assist customers. I'd never recommend this facility.
