I reserved four dollies, a standard, a utility, and two furniture. When I got there to pick up my reservation I was told they do not have the dollies I requested. I needed them to move my house. I could not complete my move. The truck I was given was legitimately on empty so I had to scramble to find a gas station before I ran out of gas... The employee was friendly though.

Kent KI was charged for an additional day and didn’t notice until after payment. The lady at the front desk was rude and not helpful at all with anything. She was short, irritable and acted like I was incompetent. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt it was necessary to discuss how terrible my experience was.

Joey MWhen I went to pick my vehicle, the black dude outside who went and brought me my van was not that friendly, twice I said good morning to him and he didn't say a damn thing - he was too busy in his phone; that was very frustrating. He needs some sort of ethical customer care review/reminder. Deja, the young lady at the computer inside, was very nice, and handled her job with professionalism. She made sure I had all the important information in a simple fashion which was very helpful. Her customer service met my expectations, 5 out 5.

Ceria PI scheduled appt w/ U-Haul, they gave me an appoint for 3/25 in FWA, when I showed up, I was informed that their installation ee was not there on Monday. I live 45 mins from shop so I lost 2 hours. I came back on 3/26, My installation was to take 1.5 - 2 hrs, however it took 4 hrs, so I lost 6 hours of work. Since I’m out of town, I had to wait at shop, which has no waiting room. I had to set on a skid of boxes

DAVID LFirst 2 tires were low on air and they had us pull around but then my fiance was the one who aired it up and the sensor light stayed on the whole time. Then they refused to check the truck when we returned it staying they'd email a receipt, which they did. They charged us for 11 gallons of gas when the gas gauge was at the F when we returned it and at most might have needed a gallon or two. I mean how do you even use 11 gallons on a supposed 52 miles anyway? They overcharged us by 2 miles because I used exactly 50. But I wasn't too worried about 2 miles. Then when I tried to call to ask about the fuel charges no one answered until the 5th time I called and when they finally answered before I could even say hello they started laughing and hung up so I never got through to anyone. I was charged over $50 for fuel that I didn't even use. I will never use or recommend this place to anyone.

Donna DNoone answers the phone - immediate redirection to a "centralized" switchboard in who-knows-where-ville. They scheduled my appointment for 2 hours before the technician starts his work. So, 2 hours tooling around, then another hour they discover they don't have the hitch needed. A second appointment is scheduled. No waiting area/chair for clients (i sat on a stack of boxes, which is actually ok)...3 hours later they discover the electrical wiring needed to be done before the hitch was attached. So, a third appointment has to be made to start the process over from scratch. To top it off, the back panel was not reinstalled correctly and is completely misaligned with the side panel (one's pushed in, one's pushed out => big gap! Hopefully not damaged!) And after 3 days of non-stop calling them, noone answers the phone. Sigh.
Lydia FCouldn’t park my uhaul in the uhaul return area. There was about 9 uhauls in line to get to the back to drop off the uhaul and no way to get around them.
KALIB WI return my trailer about 45 minutes after closing and Tim was still there, probably closing the store for the day. I was at the back door about do the after hours check in when step and told me he would take care of it for me. I know he didn’t have to do that and it was much appreciated

ADRIAN RHow about not charging someone for fuel when it was returned with the same amount it was picked up. And how about not telling the customer that he has a credit and can pickup the truck a day early, then charge them for it anyways.

George PIt took for ever to get checked out. The girl was looking at the truck, said she would be right back. She never returned, when we went inside she was helping another customer. She said she thought we left. The tuck had many issues. The dolly would not stay attached to the truck, both sides of the truck were severely damaged, the windshield had a stone chip, and the truck either had a broken leaf spring or frame damage. It had a sever dog leg to it.

There was a small overage of $7.49. I called to pay and it resulted in a 25 minute delay in my day. There should be an easier way to pay.

But it didn't save us any time whatsoever, and we still had to go inside, stand in line, and spend 10 minutes at the check-in desk. Also, the van we rented wreaked of cigar smoke. It was so disgusting that we had to roll the windows down for the entire trip on a 30 degree day.

TODD EOur truck's check engine light was on, and the rear tires were indicating low pressure when we got in and turned it on. So other than the anxiety of the check engine light it was a good trip.

VIRGIL UTried the online check-in to “skip the line”. After spending way more time entering drivers license information, validating identity, and jumping though various other hoops, I still had to go inside and stand in line to get my keys. Once I got the vehicle it had a “service air bag” warning on the dash, but I took it anyway (just to avoid going back inside). When I returned the vehicle , and parked in the designated return area, I took the keys inside. The next morning I get a call saying they don’t have the truck, so I had to explain where it was parked and who had the keys! Apparently they found it because the final receipt was emailed to me. Not to my surprise, there was a $9 charge for fuel; saying it was 7/8 of a tank and not full. The truck was filled at a Sunoco gas station .5mi away from the rental facility. Writing this review is another waste of my time so I will wrap it up here. To be clear, I do not need to be contacted and I do not want anything in return. Only giving you feedback.
Jeff SThe only one thing was when we returned the truck at the other location the lady that was there charged us an extra 20 dollars because she we were supposed to return it by noon which when we did rent it they guys told us before they closed. However I would prefer 3000 times better to go to the Coldwater one than the downtown just fyi. Coldwater for life.

Justin A | First Impressions3 weeks into my first month with U-Haul self-storage (which is free if you rent a trailer beforehand and return it) my unit was almost cleared out by the staff. One of the employees didn’t process my storage unit correctly and my name didn’t attach to my unit so they assumed someone came by, put all of there stuff in the unit, and left. They broke my lock on the unit, went through my stuff, found my degree and learned my name but never contacted me. I went in by chance to grab a gaming console I left in MY unit and they were talking about how they had laid claim to all of my stuff and that they planned on clearing it out if I didn’t show up within 72 hours. One of the employees even mentioned she “had dibs on my tv”, I was baffled and they said they’d only give me a month for free. If this is how issues or errors are handled at U-Haul self storage I’ll never be using this again, this experience wasn’t made right in my eyes and after they attempted to sell my unit to someone else? I’m going to recommend my friends and acquaintances that they find a different self storage facility. This experience has upset me and it has added anxiety to an already stressful situation as I had just moved across the country.

I rented a 20 foot truck one way and was supposed to get in writing a free one month storage unit and they gave me a 10 x 10 x 7 where the capacity of the truck exceeded the amount of storage. So, I paid too much money to get the free storage unit that I could not use. Then, I had to use Public Storage not free. And the mileage costs .99 a mile from Uhaul. Now, I have to rent another truck from Uhaul and pay to get my personal property out of Public Storage not free and the mileage adds up. I would like my next rental truck in town free as they gave front loaded me mileage at rate and I paid that I lost out on never using. Theresa Slater 8104445848. Not happy.

Then my friend rented a uhual and y’all charged her $100 which is not correct because our charges both times we rented a truck were way less than that and she made the same trip we did for our second haul.
