The manager in Canton was super kind to me, and everyone else I heard him encounter. The store was clearly busy, but they got me in for hitch wiring, and allowed me to efficiently rent a trailer that was perfect for my needs. Return was also easy and helpful at Baxter's!

The man who rented it out really knew his stuff. However he went through the speech so fast I didn't understand or get some important information. So upon arrival we drove around a bit to figure out where the unit was and how to get in. And then I forgot to swipe my card when I left. So I am prob in trouble for that. Place was clean and looks safe to me. I also rented a truck so it was a lot of information all at once.

The trailer we rented had a hole in the floor. We did not discover it until we got it home. We temporarily patched the floor with duct tape so our furniture would not get wet. Trailer appeared to be very old and probably needed to be retired.
The gentleman who gave us the trailer was very nice and helpful. I would use this location again for sure!

The gentleman that we picked up the truck from in the morning was rude because we were a hour late for pick up. He said, “You’re lucky that I didn’t rent it right out from under you. I had provided my credit card and rented it for 12 hours. It was an hour loss of MY time - no loss to the company.

The only thing I wish that would be accurate would be the price between reserving online and actually going to the store, I reserved online and paid for it and it said it was 50 some dollars and some change I get to the facility and I had to pay $160 if I didn't really need it I would have walked away I have rented a U-Haul twice before this time and it was not that much and it was recently I have rented a 26 ft truck for $120 the last two times this time it was a 20-ft truck and it was $160 plus I had to pay an extra $20 for the mileage I've never had to do that before, would this being said I probably would go somewhere else next time

The managers at this location is far below professional! I heard him on the phone with another customer when I walked in and he was not friendly or helpful to the customer on the phone. I also came in to return my uhaul a few minutes before the place had opened but the door was unlocked so I went in and again the same guy was rude. I don’t plan to use this location again!

We had a unit for a long time (ten years!) and saw different staff come and go, many other occupants of units, etc. In all of that time, the facility was generally clean, well lit, easily accessed, and we had very few problems. That is such a huge accomplishment! So, so impressive. The staff were also generally friendly, available, and helpful. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for safe and clean storage!

You go into the store and it's so slammed with so much crap it's a maze to get around. Take 30+mins for anyone to even acknowledge you even when you try to go find someone you can't. Pretty sure the staff was so incompetent they can't even do simple things. 0 communication and cant even get anyone on the phone. I mean for christ sake the dude was on the phone for 30 min trying to figure out how to print a invoice. Suppose to be secure but yet still had mouse damage and dropping everywhere. It's was complete garbage.

The day we needed to use the facility our very large dog's life was threatened and the eviction we were doing that day turned into a nightmare with only me to go with our 3 man crew to direct the removal of items and storage and the gentleman at the desk was very patient and helpful with me and he needed to be as I was in a confused and agitated state not fully comprehending everything but he explained all to my husband again later.

I have never had a bad experience with this facility nor with any of the several staff members with whom I have interacted. The folks are invariably courteous, friendly and well-informed. The facility is very clean and well-maintained and everyone seems eager to help with any inquiry or situation.
I have been a self-storage customer at this facility for the past six years or so having moved from another facility in the area for the indoor, climate-controlled feature even though it's a bit farther from my home. Very pleased with this facility in Canton NY and with the folks who work there.

Rodent droppings. Everywhere. In my storage unit. Also some rodent pee, chewed bits and a chewed cable of one of my electronics, what was a nest of some kind the vermin tried to make, and more droppings, in some of my boxes and bags. According to what I can remember one of the staff telling me, some college kids (who must have been complete idiots) were renting a unit and had brought food into their unit. Even though they were explicitly told not to, they went and did it anyway. Which, in turn, caused this problem. While the storage facility is secure, it apparently is not secure enough against vermin and idiots. It seems the staff tried to do what they could to be helpful and just gave me some kind of customer service number for my trouble. What, no refund or something? Gee thanks. If I were to ever rent from U-Haul again, their facilities would have to be ABSOLUTELY vermin-proof. (Couldn't hurt to maybe make them idiot-proof too.)

The pick up of the trailer was great no problems the ride to here was very good no problems and the delivery date was very good it gave me time to unpack and to bring over the rest and no hurry to get the trailer back on time but plenty of time to get settled when I got there to u-haul the storage clean and will be heated and cool in the spring and summer I really like that thank you so much for making my trip a success.

We removed our items from climate control storage and placed it outside while we waited over 2 hours in blazing heat for our friends who were moving it to Ohio. A very polite and courteous U-haul attendant came by and offered us to wait in air conditioned store with access to bathroom and cold water to save us having to wait in our truck and avoid using gas to keep our AC on. He highlighted security camera safety measures U-haul has which made us feel safe. Very, very thoughtful gesture that was greatly appreciated. We've used this Canton NY U-haul store and continue to be impressed by the service this location consistently provides. THANK YOU - GREAT JOB!

One way rental and a night & day experience. Called & Booked a specific location in Ottawa Canada and got confirmed a different location on the East side of city. I was traveling west. Not impressed with that experience.
CANTON New York u-haul experience was of care, courtesy and professionalism. Manager understood our frustration, waived extra mile fee (that Ottawa wouldn’t do when we asked) and he genuinely wanted to correct a wrong. Very impressive. Summary:

In May, it was a disaster with the computers down. Then came an email of rates going up in the middle of students belongings in storage. Pick-up day - No one was near the counter to check us out.

A couple of the boxes didn’t have very good locks but we made it work. Also you should advertise the size of the interior of box not the outside

I placed my stuff in storage for two months. Luckly you get a month of storage for free when you us a uhaul vehicle. The uhaul people answered all my questions. I am so glad I used them. It was easy.
