I reserved a pick up truck - went to pick it up and was told I could ONLY pick it up using the U-HAUL app on my phone. Long story, but after 40 minutes of trying to get the app to work, I changed the vehicle type and was out of the store in about 5 minutes. This is the only reason I'm rating it one star. The check-out process was super quick, and I'm very happy with that.

This rental was a disaster as the original location did not have our vehicle and basically told us we were on our own to find another one. We had no explanation as to why no one called prior to tell us this or received any help. We had movers coming in one hour. Very very bad experience. This was the location off Pineda in 32940.

It was no fault of the location but the truck share instructions were not working for the rented pickup truck. I was in the store for an hour working with counter service to figure out how to get the pickup truck dispatched. After all attempts getting it dispatched under the existing rental, the rental was cancelled and manager completed a new reservation dispatching the truck. An hour of my time was taken and delayed me from getting where I needed to go. Once the problem was resolved and the truck was dispatched, it was smooth sailing.

Equipment was not in proper working order. When I had to replace equipment the process was difficult. The gentleman would rather curse and fight with replacing a light than switch out the trailer. The older gentlemen was rude and had a serious lack of customer service and patience. The worse part about the experience the gentleman threw the invoice to me rather than place it on my hand. David and his shift was amazing. This gentleman was not.

Truck floor needed to be swept, there were some kind of food crumbs on the driver's side floor mat. There was also a used water bottle left in the vehicle. I had to to throw away the bottle, and remove the mat and shake it, so that I could return the truck clean, even though it should not have been my responsibility.

I was forced to use this location as the first choice had the size moving van we needed. When we got there, 141 Clearlake Road in Cocoa, FL, we couldn’t open the lock box. Stood in that cold ass weather and neither code they have is worked for any of the three lock boxes. I was very disappointed in UHaul. I searched all over after that and couldn’t find a truck the size we needed and had to settle for a much smaller one.
I wasn’t compensated or credited for any of the time wasted not was I even given an apology from UHaul. This was a very disappointing experience.

I had multiple problems with this rental. The 1st problem I had was that it took quite awhile to get my rental dispatched. There were multiple issues with the dispatch program and the staff had to restart multiple times. When I came back to get the auto transport it took longer because I was told the trailer dispatch was complete but after trying to get the equipment verification text I ended up finding out that it was never dispatched so I had to go through the whole process again. It took roughly 1 1/2 hrs to get the truck and another hour to get the trailer. Then while on my move I felt like the truck pulled hard to the right. I ended up finding that the alignment was so bad that both front tires had worn to the wire belts by the time I made it to NC. I had to drive slower than normal the entire trip because of it. This experience was overall very poor. The staff worked diligently to get the dispatch complete it seemed at least for the truck. The condition mechanically of the truck I felt was dangerous. I did complete my move because I was on a schedule, but this truck made it difficult to make the 645 mile trip in a normal time. I had a trip that was going to take 8 1/2 hours to drive take over 13 hours and the idea of a speedy fix is not something that would have been easily done on the side of the road. I really didn't have time to wait and get another truck or transfer my stuff from one truck to another. It did start to look like that was going to happen.

The newer staff members was not familiar with the processes for issuing storage. When I asked how long they worked there they said a month. It would greatly benefit your team to have everyone on the same level. I had movers being paid by the hour and I had to wait until the person that could issue the storage returned from lunch. This could have been avoided with proper training. Otherwise the staff was very helpful. Corey & Sutton did the best they could.

The inside of the facility was always over the Temperature range on the thermometer on the wall . During the day the temp was unbearable to stay in for any length of time , so if I needed to move stuff there or around in there it was in evening . It did say it would be temperature controlled so I don’t feel I got my moneys worth since I paid for it . For this reason I won’t be recommending uhaul. And also I. The beginning we served a ground floor rental unit and that day when checked in the man said he only had one unit left and it was upstairs I’m disabled and stairs are difficult for me but he didn’t seem to care .

The staff was absolutely terrible. There were 4 people working and no one was interested in helping in any way shape or form when we were having difficulty entering the facility. They even lied and said there was no other way to access my storage unit. The person cleaning the windows actually told myself and the movers I had hired the other way to get in. The staff inside finally let us in this way and then were terrible when we tried to find the best route to exit. This is not the first time I have had issues with the staff at this site. Someone needs to evaluate the quality of their employees.

I am relocating to the Melbourne area from the Clearwater area and had hopped to find a storage area closer to where I was going to be living. Even though I called to reserve storage space more than a week ahead of my moving date the Rockledge/Cocoa facility was the only one with a climate controlled space of at least 10 x 10 available within 30 miles of the facility in Melbourne at the intersection of Babcock and Palm Bay road. Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160. Unfortunately we had to rent a unit on the 2nd floor, which is not good, since there's no elevator at this location.

So after attempting to close my storage earlier than a month since I found somewhere to reside ONLY 3 DAYS after paying the entire $135 for my unit I was told by the people over the phone & the manager at the Rockledge location that I was unable to be prorated any amount & that it was up to the location manager. Next from the very beginning I was offered a one way deal so that when I used the Uhual truck my first month of storage is free. After arguing & still paying the money upfront 2 weeks later I was told it was stay on my account instead of being refunded back to me. I will never tell anyone to return from here. Also if your going to offer such large units atleast have a light in the back of the unit! I only liked for one or two people to assist me at this location. One of the guys I no longer see he left & Darryl. Darryl is beyond nice & helpful! From returning the uhual unloading it as well & any time before I left. Service was poor.
When trying to resolve issues with u-haul you could not get a hold of anyone because the phone was always being transferred to customer service.
