I love the 24/7 convenience of the application. I did run into some problems with obtaining the key which was able to be resolved by a phone representative. I initially booked my reservation for 6am but didn't arrive until 6:30 I had a bit of trouble finding the truck and I passed the windows where the on location agent was already there but since I knew it wasn't time to open i didn't bother her and she didn't look like a morning person. I ultimately found it at the same time the agent came out and not very friendly asked if i needed anything but in a what are you doing here not in a how can I help you tone. I said that I had it and she left.I noticed it was very tightly parked next to another truck. I was able to reverse it. The night before might want to pull up any upcoming reservations and have them parked in front to make it more convenient for us. The return was a breeze and the employee cleaning the vehicle was very nice and friendly.

In San Antonio the I was robbed by the Alamo moving solutions the owner.. I have texts. Said that he didn't do it and would stop and talk to the very young worker. He stole $220. Out of my wallet I knew how much I had exactly because my daughter helped me count it. And I also gave the owner of the Alamo moving 20 tip and boy 20 tip. So I knew exactly how much money I had no one else came in or out of the apartment or came near the moving truck my purse was on the ironing board in the living area close to the kitchen. My purse was open I had faith no one would stick their hands in my privacy my purse in my wallet. I got off to put gas and all of my money was gone. I called them texted the owner he was the one who was loading the uhaul he was very sweet. He said he was getting off the freeway to talk to the young man and he told me that all my missing money would be returned by him that he would call uhaul to return my loading fee by his company and would cash app me or send me the rest in a check and would keep me updated he said that in 14 of services he had never experienced this issue had him in other words embarrassed and upset I believed him. He said this would be resolved by Saturday today is Sunday I left him texts yesterday received no response. I'm very worried uhaul set me up with this company is this a normal thing to get robbed by the people uhaul recommended to their clients. I'm appalled upset want my money back from the movers I know I'm an easy target because I'm a woman alone my sisters are very upset. I need resolution Alamo moving solutions owner promised id get back what was stolen from me. I can't believe anyone while at work would have the odassity to put his hands inside my purse open my wallet and steal all my money. My children are very upset as well they are 31 and 34 they said this is why u shouldn't have left. The movers in Corpus Christi were a joy. I'm using them again. Speedos movers. Impeccable work. The work Alamo moving solutions did was great as well except for the getting robbed for $220. That was in my wallet after I had given a tip from my heart. Please get back to me. 210-718-3806. angelique m | Overall ExperienceSet up my reservation for climate controlled on SPID when I left Houston with everything I owned only to find out that they didn’t have anything available when I arrived and I had to change locations to a place I didn’t want my stuff stored and no climate control. And after all of that guess what my unit was broken into and everything I owned was stolen. While it will never be proven because no one cared to check the camera that is directly above my unit I know that it was your staff that did it because I need an access card to turn the door alarm off which the only other ones with access are your employees and they replaced my lock with a U-Haul lock that inevitably had to be cut off just to find all of my stuff gone. I will never use U-Haul again and I will go out of my way to ensure no one else I know ever does. Worst experience with any company in my entire life.

A quick email to the manager cleared up the issue.

After being delayed because of a blowout and terrible Roadside Assistance, I called ahead to verify if we were still able to move in after hours. Then was told they had no unit for me there anymore! Then I had to frantically search for a last minute unit and wasn't able to find anything close by and could only get a unit downtown that wasn't big enough for all my stuff. Had to purchase the truck for ANOTHER day, then the next morning found out that they had a unit available that would fit my whole load. That lack of communication disrupted every plan we had made over the past month or so. Terrible coordination, but the day workers at the unit were very nice and helpful. Moral of the story, don't trust what U-haul says online, it's likely not updated...

I would have possibly returned to UHAUL, but thanks to Samantha Fernandez at Crosstown on S Port Ave, never again. The next 3 years when i move cross country annually, and throughout my military career Ill be going with absolutely anyone who is not UHAUL, and steer anyone I know away as well. The night before move-out I was burglarized, in which the thieves got access to all my keys, including my house keys, leaving me with only one vehicle and one house key. After calling twice and emailing separately and explaining this, as well as offering to provide case # and details, I received what I can only describe as the worst customer service I have ever experienced as this site manager insisted on telling me too bad, so sad, not my problem, pay me, extorting me for additional months rent. I explained that I would allow the lock to be removed or the items to be thrown out, as their value was lower than that months rent, nope, get a locksmith, Uhauls lock is not uhauls responsibility per Ms Fernandez. Fine, just seize the unit. “Thatll be an additional charge”, ok then since you wont do what I know your people are capable of, Ill do it myself “Well I cant give you access until you pay us.” Oh you mean pay the ransom for my now stolen property? Sure, Ill play your game. I had to purchase bolt cutters ($20) and a propane torch ($30) to remove my lock from the unit valued at less than the cost of these tools and avoid future “rent” payments, as well as additional applied late penalties for this highway robber very helpful guys, so incredibly classy. So now with access to my own property, I sought buyers for the property I now could not afford to keep, and what happens in this time? Someone locks my unit again with a company lock because “we cant allow unsecured items” in an enclosed facility, give me a break. Eventually I removed each of these items, but in the end, I’d rather have left my belongings on the side of the road than to ever deal with crosstown uhaul again, after all, it would have been more economical, less headaches, and I would have saved myself probably 10-12 trips and as many hours negotiating this dumpster fire.

I remember in the beginning having one or two minor issues such as I lost my key card or my payment didn't go through; and the manager John Medrano always helped me square things right away. I really appreciate all my questions being honestly answered even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear, because the staff remained kind and professional. I just moved out and excited to say all my expensive furniture remained intact and clean, just like the day I left them in storage, five years ago. Thank you UHAUL! DEREK F | Overall ExperienceI had a reservation for a climate control 10x15 at the SPID location however after packing my entire house in Houston and driving 4 hours I am told at the SPID location that they don’t have any available. They referred me to their Port location so after arriving there we are given 2 storage options neither are climate controlled which is specifically what I needed. The 2 options included one that still had a mattress and other miscellaneous stuff from the previous tenant or one with Big holes in the walls and grease and dirt all over the floor. So all of mine and my families possessions are now stored in a 10x15 non climate controlled storage rooms with holes in the wall which can be accessed by the room next door but at that point I don’t have an option because they tell me I still have to get the truck back to SPID by 3pm and I was out of time. I appreciate being left stranded with no where to put my stuff because y’all messed up the reservation and the extreme lack of caring from your staff. I spent over $500 renting a truck from Uhaul which I have done several times in the past but this will be the last time I ever use U-Haul for truck or storage and I am going to make sure I tell every family member and friend exactly how my experience went And show them the pictures I took of my storage unit so they know what to expect if they ever have the need for storage or truck rental. Thank you for the worst experience possible.
