DAWN ARMELI made my reservation at this location and a few days before my pickup day I was sent an email that said my pickup location had changed. I went to that location on pickup day only to find it closed that day with a note on the door to call. I called the number and no one called back. This was very frustrating and should not have happened. Why did U-Haul send me to a location that was closed. I then had to go back to where I originally booked it and told them the what happened. Thankfully they had a truck. They were very helpful but between going to the closed location and the time it took for reworking the new paperwork again I lost two hours out of my day. My question is how can a company send people to pick up a truck at a closed location. This is not acceptable at any level and should never had happened.

Jonathan LockwoodThe new 5 by 8 trailor had aircraft cable and hooks instead of chains that hook to ones trailor hitch. I like to lock my trailor to my Trailor hitch at night while parked do no one can steal it. I could not due this time. I like the ramp in the back that folds down and used the 2 locking mechanism and used two padlocks to lock the ramp in the closed position
John KIRKLANDThe entire experience was extremely frustrating. The equipment was faulty, and stopped working before we ever got to use the vehicle. Brian at the location was very rude and aggressive during personal transactions and over the phone. We did receive adequate assistance from roadside services through U-Haul but other than that the total experience was awful and I would highly recommend using a different service, other than U-Haul. We have filed a customer action file with U-Haul and are waiting for resolution and compensation for the ginormous headache of an experience. This was using U-Haul’s moving services.

anna hugheyI was very appreciative of how Heather helped me when I had to upgrade my unit size after I realized that the 5x5 unit was too small to accommodate my items. Great work! However, I was disappointed to learn that I would have to pay an additional $10.00 a month to use the facility after regular business hours. This was not told to me when I reserved the unit via the 1-800 number. Otherwise, I would have shopped around for other facilities that didn’t require the additional money. I feel that this additional charge does not help those who have a very tight budget like myself!!! I appreciate the facility’s location, its cleanliness (especially the bathrooms) and the security to enter the building.

Harry McCoolThroughly check your equipment. First truck they gave me had the check engine light turn on when I was less than 3 miles driving it back to the house, took that back as I didn’t want to start a 1600mi trip like that. Second truck was older and not cleaned (I found trash in the cab, debris in the box). Rolling door spring broke when on the last few boxes and nearly caused grievous injury as it is heavy and once it’s moving, there’s not much stopping it before it hits the deck. Once I got to my destination I had to hunt down a second set of hands to help me lift it. Tow dolly needed greasing as it squealed every turn and was almost always canted to one side upon stopping. Tires on dolly had obvious wear below the treads on the inside and one of the lights functioned intermittently. Plus side, the second truck ran like a top for the entire 27.5hrs I was on the road. All these issues scream of improper maintenance and servicing. Managers response was “oh my goodness”.

Both office personnel and janitorial staff made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. For the insane price they charged, beyond dissatisfying customer service in several instances and ignorance towards me being in their facility after almost an entire year of committed rental and furthermore with my service animal, I will never use this facility again. Where is quality control when you need it? I do not recommend uhaul in Greenwood. Someone should also remind employees of the basic legalities of interrogation of an individual with a service animal. Be wary.

The workers seemed high or drunk, I had to ask them to repeat themselves several times because they were mumbling. Apparently they also did not set up auto pay for me when THEY STORED MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, so my unit was locked and I had to pay a late fee the next month. There is always trash everywhere.

They did not close out my rental for over a month, so I got continued billing and threats against my credit right at Christmas 2021. This became an ordeal to resolve. If you rent, then get it in writing that you are cleared. Then confirm it to corporate, and get them to send a conformation email. Don’t believe it when you are told it will be handled, and don’t trust that the local branch communicates with corporate, or vice versa.

Robert Wierzba | Overall ExperienceThe building is nice. Can never reach anyone on the phone. When you get there in person you have to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to show up to the desk. Had ordered a smaller unit but when I arrived they told me it wasn't availble and that there was 4 always in the system for some reason. So i had to pay more for a bigger unit. Also then found out it wasn't 24 hour access UNLESS YOU PAY $10 extra a month for it. I've been moved out of there since the end of September and I am still receiving "payment past due" letters from them even though I told them I was moving out 2 weeks before my payment due date. The entry system is ridiculous. You have to go to one side of the door and swipe the card (usually more than once because it was always acting up) to log into the system then go to the other side of the door where you have to swipe your card again and input a code. Then the automatic sliding door will open. But god forbid you are in the process of going in and out at 7pm. The system relocks and you have to do the process over and over until it let's you back in. Hands down the worst storage facility I have used and it's not the people working there. It's the fact that it is a quasi corporate owned facility. That sunk millions of dollars into renovating the space and now the franchise is indebted to them to the point where corporate dictates their labor budget because they pay so much to "headquarters". I have never seen more than 1 person on duty at a time. With that being said; it being such a large facility and depending on what is going on that day, it is almost impossible to get help at the desk or on the phones. I literally called everyday for 3 or 4 hours for at least 3 weeks and never got someone at the place. Not even corporate answered the phones. A month or so after I moved in my online username and password stopped working, and I couldnt recieve the 'reset password' emails. The whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth and will be very cautious in the future looking and using uhaul owned facilities.

We got there by 6:43pm and the girl was not there 100%. She was more concerned about getting off work. The card didn’t work 3 times. The storage Unit was not reserved like they said it would be. Had I not went up to her in her car she would have driven off without making sure the customers need was tended to. The building wouldn’t allow us in after authorizing three separate cards. Not sure if she was incompetent or if her manager should be more aware that more training should be done before they leave her alone to tend to customers. Now I get the bill and they charged me for an extra day??? Not at all happy. We had to now use three separate units because our original supposed reservation was not reserved. Why can’t all uhaul / storage places talk openly and know what the right had is telling the left hand? There was no communication whatsoever! Talk about someone putting all their care into a companies hands and now I feel like we made a huge mistake because everything seemed like nobody at uhaul cared!! You added stress to my life and I’m so angry about it!

I had to call around to find out where it was. When I went to pick the truck up, there was a system issue, and the lady could not release it. It took hours to get this resolved!! While all the employees with whom I had contact were as helpful as possible, the check in process took well over an hour since only 1 employee was there to handle multiple customers.

We were able to move in rain or shine without worrying because of the loading areas. I wish they had more place like this one. We loved talking with Rene. She was always around cleaning. Always helpful and friendly!!
