Anthony SclafaniThey need more training. This is my third hitch installed through Uhaul (different cars) and it’s never taken 6 hours before. That’s just too much. I didn’t have a choice whether to stay or not because I drove over two hours to get there and I cannot simply reschedule elsewhere. I’m glad I had the patience for it, but it was not acceptable service. Under normal circumstances, I would have left after the hitch instal took almost 3 hours. They discounted the wiring, which barely covered how insane of an experience this was as a repeat customer. I know the standard I have experienced in the past at Uhaul and this was nowhere near it. The installer did not have enough experience and it was evident. I think that reflects more poorly on Uhaul than it those on the employee because as an employee you don’t always have a say in what roles are assigned. The mentioned it has only been a month since their location began installing hitches and I absolutely felt like a Guinea pig (some experiment). I am absolutely going to need the wiring routed to the outside and not left inside the trunk like it is. Just overall, not a great experience and that’s an understatement. No disrespect to the staff, but they need someone with actual experience.

The technology was terrible, and the pod got lost, and then found. The referral we got from U-Haul for unloading the pod and Phoenix was phenomenal! it was Jay’s Pro Moving. I give them 11 out of five stars.

Daniel PerryTerrible customer service. Nobody at this facility new how to do their job, took zero responsibility for it, and made constant excuses or blamed their coworkers for shortcomings. The manager didn't know what was going on or how to do her own job. Multiple employees encouraged me to break Uhaul policies and safety procedures, to the point that I had to put my foot down and refuse to do what they wanted me to do because it was unsafe (and probably illegal). Employees vented and complained to me constantly and they unprofessional blamed me for not doing things that were their coworkers' responsibilities (e.g., filling out paperwork correctly in the Uhaul inventory system). On numerous occasions I was given directly contradictory instructions by different employees. For example, I called in advance of pickup to ask if I needed to make a reservation. The employee on the phone seemed puzzled and said, "Well, just show up, I guess." When I "just showed up" the next day, I was told that I couldn't collect my property because I hadn't made a reservation and no one in the entire facility knows how to operate a forklift. I explained that my helpers and I had just driven two hours to be pick up our Uboxes, she (the manager) says, "Well you should have called first". I explained that I did call the day before and was told I didn't need a reservation. She says, "well that guy is new and didn't know any better," as though I should have known better that to follow his instructions. She then tells me I can pay $150 to rent a truck and offload my property from the Uboxes into the truck, as though it's my responsibility to pay more to compensate for her mismanagement of the facility. I seriously doubt I will ever be a customer of Uhaul again after this miserable experience.
David MontagueYour computer system is horrific. As evidenced by the move out date listed in this survey. We just rented the unit 2/22/24. After multiple failed attempts to rent a unit online, we went to the facility and staff there had as much difficultly with the computer system as we did at home. Finally we thought we had the unit rented and received a contract showing no balance due, paid through 3/21/24.. several days later we received a past due notice stating we had only paid through February. Called the facility and staff again had difficulty with the computer system in trying to correct the problem. The staff could not take care of it while on the phone and said they would work on it. Guess it didn’t get fixed if I am receiving a move out survey. Brand new facility with apparently broken computer system. Maybe I should go to the locally owned storage facility just down the road.

ramiz alievOnly concern was on those instances when the gate refused to go back down and the store was closed. It was disconcerting to drive away with the gate wide open on what should have been a secure facility. Pointed it out once to staff and was told that the gate was problematic, but it still happened again after that, so not taken seriously enough.

Merry DimitriStephen is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. When using the 5' unit 1027, I noted the rear wall was damaged. It appears heavy items from the unit behind it bowed the metal back wall. I reported this to Frank in the office right away. My friend also noted whoever constructed the wall did not put in the screws in the bottom portion of the wall. I needed more space so they allowed me to relocate to a nearby larger-sized unit. Thanks Mary. You have a great team.

Alvin CrissWithin the first hour of the rental, the ABS light came on. The ceiling inside the truck cabin started leaking water from the rain. I was picking up a kitchen for myself and when I went to unload my kitchen I found out that the cargo box was leaking and some of my kitchen was wet. I'm currently drying it out. Hopefully there will be any damage.

Alvin CrissFirst employee who called me, yelled at me about a trailer rental. The second had zero idea what he was doing. We had to unlock the key box ourselves bc he didn't know how. I also left with a hand truck or whatever even though it wasn't added to my reservation. He just handed it to me. The truck had damage. We weren't asked to do anything to look it over. I took pictures before we left. Just in case.
Kayla MartinFrancis was so kind and went above and beyond to help me. The GM for the facility, Lori was also a wonderful example of excellent customer service. I had a message from Steven and also spoke with him about an issue I had with access which turned out to be a miscommunication. He needs to improve his customer relations skills. I highly recommend the site, the management, and the employee Francis they made a stressful situation bearable.

jonathan palatemaA rain canopy or awning would have been nice. I think better designated spots for drop off and pick up would help too but it is new and they seem to be working on that sort of thing still. The online pick up option is supposed to be fast but there is so much up/selling it is frustrating! Please just let me tent a truck and not have to wade through 5-10 additional offers of help, boxes, storage units, dollies, blankets! One page with additional options would be reasonable but after that it is just annoying.

sidiq ksurssidI did not ever store anything there. I reserved, but cancelled prior to moving in. So, I cannot comment on the facility itself. I was charged a months rent regardless of not occupying. I am more satisfied when I can talk to a local rep rather than a representative not on the site I call. But, that happens everywhere now. I just hope that my auto pay was successfully cancelled. Uhaul apparently changed my reservation to a remote pickup without telling me, so after an hour on the phone and fighting with the online system, I was able to get a truck. Multiple other customers were not so lucky, though, and left without their vehicles. Once I did get the truck, the tire pressure light was on. All tires were correctly inflated, the sensor was just broken, but I wasted more time on that. By far my worst ever experience with U-Haul. Extremely frustrating, and not what I signed up for.

Alaina was very knowledgeable and took the time to show me the units and help me decide which one was right for me. Dani seems really motivated and keeps the place running like clockwork. I will be using U-Haul at this location specifically from now on.

Comparing it to other storage facilities, who typically work on 2 to 3 person staffs, such as Cubesmart, there is no reason for this with 5 to 6 people on staff. Prices are ridiculous.

Ross Guins | First ImpressionsI rented a unit on June 22nd and was told it was going to be unit 3461. When arriving to the Uhaul storage units, they informed me that they would be changing the unit. They showed me unit 3174, but that unit was too small, so I told the U-Haul employee who was showing me around that I needed a bigger unit so he placed me in unit 3161 and told me it he would fix it in the system. A couple of days go by, and I move several different items in and out of my unit with no problems and then have not gone back until two days ago. I arrived at my unit and a new lock had been placed on my unit without anyone letting me know. I waited in the office for 30 plus minutes with two other gentlemen, and none of us were assisted so I left. I tried calling several different times with no answer and couldn’t leave a message because the phone automatically hangs up. I waited about an hour and finally got ahold of someone. The man told me if I come back we can get everything figured out. I come back to the uhaul units, explain my situation, and the guy working there has no idea what is happening because he’s not their normal worker. We spent about 2 hours calling different uhaul numbers and trying to figure out the situation just for me to find out that I do not even have a profile with U-Haul at all. Very very unprofessional place. No one knew what was going on at the facility, and I’m still not sure as to why they cut my lock and placed a new one on without informing me. I waisted 3 hours there, and personally do not feel safe keeping my stuff or information here anymore.
