ARTHUR DAVISI have been a long-time customer with U-Haul this was a very bad experience for me. Not only the location but also the rep I spoke to when I call for assistance was no help. The ap is great but the staff NEED to be mor helpful with, wait time was way too long. over tome the quality of service at this location has gotten worse every time I go.

Provide a small plastic tool caddy to your staff that has WD40, a rag, electrical contact cleaner and any other items needed to deal with issues related to auto transport lights not working. 2. Create a uhaul customer online forum where drivers can post info & pictures about 20 & 26ft truck with auto transport friendly gas stations, motels & highways across the country. (The secret to a safe move is planning ahead, and the three biggest risks are finding a gas station with an RV lane, a motel that has an RV/Truck parking lot, and truck friendly roads that don'''t have vehicle restrictions, choke points, dead ends or closures. 3. Also, allow experienced Uhaul customers to share moving tips with newbies. For example, I used a magnetic laser level to line up the truck hitch with the trailer while backing up. I used walkie talkies for my wife to guide me back, but 2 cellphones would work as well. All she had to do was tell me when the red laser line was directly down the middle of the trailer connection and when to stop. Piece of cake!
Alan McRaeIt was a good experience and the vehicle was clean both in the cab where you sit and the back where I placed my furniture. ( an improvement from Almeda where the cab and back area are usually unclean) Pick up and drop off were fast and easy.

DORIS PERSONAt first the employees were discussing and left me waiting, but the guy who attended me after that and was very helpful. The only problem at the end is that I had to try to pull back myself the dolly in a flooded back yard. I don't think I did a great job... sorry for that

NAFTOLI TZVI FEITMANI did mobile pick up for this location. I thought since they saw this in their system that they would leave the truck in a place that was easily in sight and easily accessible. That was not the case. I found the truck on the side of the building between two other uhaul trucks. I needed a friend to help me out of the tight space so I didn’t hit anything.

To her credit though she was simy amazing... friendly,knowledgeable/adept at multitasking/engaging/efficient/professional... an absolute pleasure to be on the receiving end of the service she provided! I sincerely hope that she is being fairly compensated for her stellar job performance.

Mona TwittyEverything is very good, excellent location, excellent sales products, the young people who are at the counter want to make the work easier and more efficient but that system of scanning the code and making the reservation yourself is very tedious and makes the customer waste time and then the person at the counter also has to waste time with the same case, so I make the suggestion, either they improve the system or let the people at the counter make the reservation and that's it, we all win.

Bruce davis | Overall ExperienceThe center I went to claimed after i left that I damaged the vehicle mirror. There was no damage whatsoever on the truck. The rep. said maybe I missed it which is ridiculous considering when you drive a truck your checking the mirrors every 2 seconds. When I spoke to the rep he told me the truck was examined right after I had dropped it off. After I insisted he show me the video, he showed me security footage that was clear the truck sat on the lot for OVER 2 and a half hours before anyone looked at it and trucks were driving by and backing up right next to it the whole time. Still refused to refund the damage charge because the security footage was so bad that I couldn't prove someone else hit it. Very unhappy with the customer service. DO NOT use this location unless you can stay until they check your truck back in with you there.

I reserved a 26FT truck out of Cumberland, RI going to Inwood, NY where I then rented two storage lockers. The gut in Cumberland was super nice and helpful but he was all alone & multi-tasking like crazy. The check in took 40 min! Why have a reservation is the check in would take so long?! That and the 4 people in line ahead of me. Then I get to Inwood and I kid you not the check in on two reservations took over 1hr!!! There too the staff was multitasking doing 3-4 other things. Returning the truck took 20min. The 1st of the month and end of the month you need more bodies at counter! I am not in your line of work and even I can see this! Such a complete waste of valuable time!

Issues 1)there is a thermometer on the wall indicating temperature and claiming place was temperature controlled- but it was consistently hotter than should've been in the summer and colder in the winter. 2) Also the continual increasing of price for same storage unit Ithink is unfair- people have storage units bc nowhere else to put things, so getting the mailings of an increase in price doesn't leave the customer with many realistic options. The frequent price increases were a significant factor in my emptying out the storage unit as soon as I possibly could.

That unit was all the way in the back, I got lost trying to find it, the directions to units are not clear enough. I eventually came upon a gentleman who was working in an enclosed area who helped me out. The general manager is very professional and pleasant, though. But she might want to see how to make it easier for customers to get to their units easier and quicker.

Access hours are extremely limited compared to other places (unless you pay extra). There are no lights in the storage units themselves, and the ambient light from the corridors isn’t enough to adequately illuminate the inside of the units.

I called the office and I just heard the phone ring. I called the store manager Ms. Cleopatra Jones-Brown at 516.239.6374 and no answer. Her business card has her cell phone so I called it at 347.832.7237 and she still did not answer. I texted her and she still did not answer. By the time someone came the store had approximately 8 people waiting for service. This final day was horrible and unacceptable. You cannot leave you door open and then when customers come in there is no one to take care of them. Also don't put you cell phone on your business card if you are not going to answer the calls. If you open your doors THEN STAFF YOUR FACILTIY ACCORDINGLY.

Im aware of uhaul cards sometimes not working properly gave me a used card w back stripe very worn, told me it was brand new,could not activate it. So i suggested to try another card she said no.yonkers rep tried 2 cards before giving me one thats works. felt uncomfortable taking card that didn't work. Once we got to the back we needed guidance she refused. At this point my wife said cancel but I still proceeded to the back. Once I got there, the stairs and narrow walkway was not gonna work for me which I for warned her if pillar or anything inconvenient would make me not proceed w me paying i would refund. I WAS A LAYDOWN EASY PURCHASE.! If she took the time be professional, courteous, friendly i would still have took it. But the disappointment, anger n frustration w her push me to cancel and give my business in another storage in valley stream. I didnt ask for free storage i paid for mine. didnt deserve this treatment. There's more but I'm done. Asked to speak to manager she said no. When I came back in to give her me receipt for refund. She didn't want to, ask her coworker to do HER the favor . Rep name Tameka proceeded w my refund. She was friendly and helped HER out to help me out. Appreciated that!. Money hasn't hit my card yet . Ms. Cleo please call me 7184338069 to follow up about refund sorry it did not work out..

Devon Stone | Overall ExperienceThe quality and maintenance of the units on the upper level that we rented is very different from that on the lower level (we have friends who rent ground floor units). The upper level is unprotected (no ceiling other than a type of chicken wire) and exposed to vermin (many traps and poison packets in view). There was also difficulty with the key card as well accessing the building after hours. The lobby/sales area is very clean and well maintained. The staff is also stellar. They’re professional, friendly, polite and helpful. They make all the difference.
