Rude services! Return policy was not explained and cost me $45 extra! After hours drop off sucks, website was not clear and wasn’t able to figure it out! This was a partial move and I will look for another rental service !

I called the customer service line to let them know I would not be returning the uhaul until a later time however it was still less than 24 hours and I was charged for 2 days. The customer service rep was rude when I inquired about the charges. Oh and the lock on the uhaul stuck and I couldn’t open it.

Customer service was very unprofessional. The two gentlemen were very rude. The gentleman that was assisting me tried everything he could to not hook the trailer up to my truck. Tried telling me the ball hitch was the wrong size when I knew it was a 2in ball, then said the position of where I had the hitch wouldn’t work.... etc. They were not very friendly or professional.

The equipment I reserved was not available and a substitution was made without one word said to me. I reserved a car hauler trailer and they gave me the tow dolly instead. When I went back and asked why I was told none were available in Jackson. That was a complete lie as I had driven by another Uhaul dealer and there were 3 of them parked at their lot. I made the reservations a full week in advance and this is how I was served.

my UHaul representative Donna Pinner at the Whiteville UHaul at her Pinner's Farm Garden and Sport was wonderful. She helped me locate and took care of the cargo van I wanted, that she didn't have onsite. However, the gentleman....no he wasn't that.... that rude man at the Airways location in Jackson was extremely unhelpful, rude and racist. He spoke ugly to my sister and I, but when African American customers came in, he was sickeningly sweet and over helpful and apologetic. And he was rude when I returned the van a week later. The van was dirty, I returned it much cleaner than given me. it was a great van though.... I'd rent one again but will use a different location. I expect to be treated well when I spend over a $1,000 or $1. My final bill was way over a grand.

Customer service failed !!! Attendant could have cared less that I rented , was zero appreciative and sorely not in a good mood . That was at pick up! At return I decided to use the electronic return app, so I would not have to encounter “Mr customer service of the year”. I turned the vehicle off but had to turn back on to get mileage pic! Then I took outside and inside pics! Then the pic of where it was parked! Successful returned! Last notification... lock truck and drop key in slot ! I locked the door but was holding the wrong key! Locked key inside Truck! Frustrated at myself for having done this, I go inside and told the attendant ! I should have been speaking Chinese. He had a blank look and said, “man I don’t know...what you should do?” Really !!!!!! Then the attendant I dealt with on the pick up entered!!! His response was shrugging his shoulders and went back into the break room mumbling, “I guess you need to call a locksmith!” Nothing .... maybe , “sir, I am sorry to hear that. It happens on occasion. You will need to call a locksmith and here are a few numbers of locksmiths that have made service calls here for the same thing!” Easy, simple , not requiring a rocket scientist Background to provide alittle customer service!

I used after hours return and was charged for another day and told that was clearly in the contract. I have re-read the contract and cannot find SPECIFIC language that says another full day is charged with after hours return.

The floor of the Box truck Looked like someone had smeared mud all over it and it had dried. And the truck itself was in very bad shape. However the movers we hired through you were amazing!

The Jackson TN location has poor customer service. The man working was rude. Tried to over charge me. Would not explain charges. I had to argue and demand he remove charges I knew I was not required to pay. Manager was also very rude. Telling me it was my responsibility as a TN resident to know all rental taxes and was not his job to explain it to me. When I returned the van, was overcharged by 4.5 miles for mileage.

Hire help! Truck was pos. Had to doo PO ST spend half a day trying to get out of park. When got it out of park was scared to put back in park so just used e brake and put in neutral. Called for help and was put on hold for over 10 minutes, so I hung up and fixed myself. When got to uhaul store my complaint was dismissed like I was ignorant. Was charged 4 times at 29.95. Had from approximately 4pm Tuesday til 4pm friday. Only put 47 miles on truck. Had no clue I would be paying for dolly and blankets that I didn’t ask for. Very unhappy with service provided and most of all didn’t get done with move bc truck wouldn’t come outta park.

The man the rented me the U-Haul has a very nasty attitude, very impatient and made me look at the company totally different. He had no kind of customer service what so ever attitude got worse as I start asking questions. The man that accepted the truck back didn’t greet me put my change on the counter overall it was poor customer service and I will not be returning or refer anyone to come to this location.

They'll overcharge you in a heartbeat! They only ever have 1 person working so the person is exhausted and the customers are all ways irritated because they've been waiting for so long. It'll be burning hot outside and you have one dude running back and forth between they yard and counter about to drop from heat exhaustion. Never waste your time with the U-Haul website. None of the information you put in makes it to the store. It just causes more confusion and delays. The "cut time in half at counter" is total BS. You just give them in info twice. I assume for some dubious marketing strategy. I feel bad for the guys working because they clearly have a shit-tastic employer. Several have told me about the great opportunity working there is because they get their fork lift operators license and ability to fill propane. I guess their boss makes a big deal about that and neglects to inform them all the fork-left dealers in town offer free training - it lasts about 4 hours. I'd bet the propane suppliers do the small.

Asked for a truck early in the morning, was told it wouldn’t be ready until 11am. When I called to ask if we could get it earlier they told us it would actually be 2pm before we could get it. We did get to get it at 11 but it was a stressful run around.

I wish I had gotten the mans name that was rude and only said, “Get out of the truck” to me twice. My paperwork has Keith Jones on it, so that must be his name. He was not friendly at all. I don’t even think he said, “Thank you.” The college student that was in training was so nice on the other hand. I will never go back to that location, nor would I recommend it.

Very bad customer service. Very rude and was rude to my children as well. (Both Hollywood blvd and old hickory location) went to old hickory blvd first was told he didn’t have anything for me and they were trying to close so I went to Hollywood blvd and again very rude and I felt this was race related. The guys name at Hollywood blvd was Keith...Will use Penske next time

The agent at this location came off to me as very rude. To his credit, it was very hot, and he was working alone. However, I find customer service and satisfaction trumps everything. This is what I tell my employees. The equipment suited my need in every way. The store was clean, but I would say that customer service on site will point me to other Uhaul locations in my city.

Was charged extra rented a trailer for 1 day returned it early and charged for late fees call about it was told that I was lying and that they will review the security footage and call back. Waited all day for a call never got one called store before it closed and said he contacted corporate and they will call me tomorrow to refund me. Will never use Uhaul again

Staff not really willing to help customers. Didn't go to any effort to really do anything. Didn't help attach any equipment or to help guide in when returning it. Just stood there and did nothing. Will not go back to this location ever again. I will drive twice as far to go somewhere else. Not a good experience, not my first rental.

The personal was rude and acted as if we were bothering him. When we tried to explain that one of the dolly’s was from a different location than where the truck was picked up, the man brushed us off and said he didn’t need all that information. When we asked about certain charges that was added he seemed unbothered and told us we had 7 days to pay before a late fee was added and to call U-Haul.

Horrible despicable customer service!!! Actuallyafter checking in online, , I received 1 min of customer service as I was handed keys after waiting 30 mins. I went to start the vehicle and had return because key wasn’t eorking( which happened throughout our rental)! The ignation/starter must have been going bad so we should have never been rented this vehicle . The man running the whole place, whose pants were not staying up, was not polite, not helpful, nor even spoke more than 3/4 words. As I pulled out in my uhaul, he ran out and instructed me to move my own car. As I jumped out and into my car, he then had no parking place to direct me to and directed me back to my otidinal spot. Meanwhile, my 1 pm rental was now a 1:50 rental, which he did not even bother to offer me the extra time( due to all the inconvenience)!!!! The family behind me was very upset and told him he could at least try to provide SOME SIRT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! He was pathetic and should be fired ASAP!!! He did not want to be working and was s complete jerk to everyone there!!!! If u can’t hire decent people, then close up! I will NEVER RETURN to this location!!!!!

Late opening due to employee calling in sick. Person that came in was not in the best of moods due to having to come in. Truck was not clean, but was told I wouldn't be charged for the dirt. Tried calling to extend time since my time was cut short due to late opening, but could never get anyone to answer and didn't get everything moved that needed to be moved. I did appreciate this location being open on a Sunday tho.

There is not enough employees. 1 person at the store is not enough. When 3 people walk in at the same time. It time 45 min from the the time I got in to the time I got in the van. This is a corporate problem. The manger was polite.

The rep at pick up and drop off was the rudest person I've ever done business with. When I dropped off he told me "it was going to be awhile" and huffed and puffed the entire time he processed my order. I waited over 30 minutes while he prepared the trailer and finally got on my way. When I went to check the trailer back in, he scolded me for not having my contract in hand, and told me his lot was full and I would have to take my trailer to another location. I drove 30 minutes across town to the Old Hickory location, where the gentleman was helpful and friendly. I can get over someone being unpleasant during pickup and drop off, but to be forced to drive across town when I've gone out of my way to drop the trailer off at the location I picked it up from is a little frustrating.

This was a one-way drop off location. I didn’t see the inside of the business. The outside had over full trash cans, some trash in the lot and a general poor exterior appearance. The man who checked the equipment was friendly and quick.
