Truck and trailer where not at location requested and no one call to tell me .and truck return was Thursday and no one stated it was the same time that you picked it up, not just Thursday.. control vents for a/c didn’t work and a/c is exhausted to windshield

Every location with U-Haul was very nice to me except the one on Ranchero Drive in SEBRING what an out-of-the-way place to go could hardly turn the truck around and then it was the wrong place was sent to the U-Haul location next to the Circle K on 27 and the lady did not have the trailer either, but was a big help and sent me back to Pawn and that gentleman had two trailers. I had already driven by his location twice he was very nice also but U-Haul is out of my thoughts as far as recommending anything to do with U-Haul because of the schedule Scheduler pathetic drive 35 minutes or 40 minutes and took four hours to get the trailer. I had people waiting to load my truck which were on my payroll .

In spite of confirming the rental for a 26ft truck, I was scheduled for a 20ft. I logged into the app and received an error message. Called customer service and was told the aite doesn't keep keys for 20ft trucks in the drop box. I was assigned a 26ft truck, and none of the items I requested were in it. Your app is awful. It kept telling me I was not onsite when I was sitting in the parking lot.

Don't deal with Jacob. He was very rude, asked him to go out with me to do a walk around and review of can and he totally ignored me, stating that the van was outside here's the key. He never pulled the vehicle up. Plus he type casted me as I came in barking what do you want. No greeting except that, then he stated I had no info on my reservation that I went over with corporate about, plus he stated he couldn't rent the van to me because I chose not to add Uhaul insurance or provide a secondary number, that it was mandatory for me to do so in order to rent a VAN. GAS NEEDLE WAS BELOW THE HALF, TRUCK HAD Damage TO IT, IT WAS FILTHY IN THE CABIN WITH FOOD WRAPPINGS, NAPKINS, CRUMBS, AND VERY DIRTY IN VAN.

Every piece of my belongings was saturated with mold and mildew. I'm at a loss and I asked that you atleast compensate me for this. I can not believe the damage that container caused. I spent my whole weekend going through trash to salvage. Me and my Sons lungs and eyes are so irritated its absolutely sad. I asked the Worker there to atleast see if you can compensate me for the truck I rented to get the destroyed items out of there, and a full or partial refund to compensate for my items lost. I had things that are irreplaceable in there as well. I've used you all periodically for years and years but, if this isn't handled properly. I will never be a customer again nor will I recommend. I was told that the 18 wheeler containers were clean and safe for my property. And now look.

Although the guy working in the location was as helpful as possible, he was not very inviting. The woman at the Oaklawn Blvd location helped a lot when directing me to the correct location and making sure we got a storage unit that was comparable to what I originally ordered. It would have been nice to be notified ahead of time that the unit size I wanted was not available prior to move in.

The employee that helped me throughout the pickup and return process was very polite and very helpful. He hooked up the hitch on the trailer and the wasn't any issues on my day long trip. He was there with a smile when I pulled in the next day with the trailer to open the gate. He followed me in on the golfcart to unhook the trailer, what service!! The drop off took less than 15 minutes. This guy needs a raise. I WILL be using U-Haul for my next moving need . Thank You U-Haul!!

Stop having your customers arrested!!! I rented a vehicle from your company, had a miscommunication about the rental. On my way to return the rental, I was pulled over and arrested. This is the second vehicle I've rented from you in a month, you had my card on file, and yet you sought to destroy my life by having me arrested for theft of a vehicle. Now I have to go to court, do my very best to white clean my otherwise perfect record( never been arrested in my 51 years on this planet) because the charge is a Class 6 felony. I don't get it. I have two units at this location, rented vehicles from you before and have never had this problem. And I do think it's a problem. All I can do is hope for a fair hearing, being I've never been in trouble in my entire life. Otherwise, the rental was great.

While making the reservation for the trailer, the online system did not function properly which resulted in incorrect information and issues when I arrived to pick it up. Despite the issues with the reservation, Luke quickly resolved the issue and handle things in a very courteous and professional manner. He was thorough and efficient throughout the rental, loading, and unloading process. I appreciate his customer service and would definitely return to his location and refer it to friends.

I’ve had interaction with 3 different employees at the Prince George VA location and all 3 individuals were amazing. They were respectful, professional and new their jobs well. I appreciate all you do on a daily basis. Thanks for your great customer service. I would like to especially recognize Elijah he is a young man with great customer service and I truly appreciate all his help with getting me set up with my storage space. The amount due on my reservation was not the amount charged at the time of pickup. The employee could not explain to me why I was being charged more. My reservation gave me a total due of 122.23 and was charged 151.47 at the time of pickup. I am not sure what caused the difference, however, I will not rent from Uhaul again due to the misleading estimates and billing.

I discovered dim blinkers and no lights as I was getting truck ready to leave -- for 3AM departure. This was Around 7:30 PM. Called assistance and got no where, lady on chat said my fuse. Dim light said, no fuse but okay. Now I can't leave. Uhaul opened at 9:30. First light I see a broken wire. I go. Worker says that broken wire has to be sent out. I tell him the trailer is full. It took me two days to load. He says sorry but it can't be repaired. He also was the only person working on Friday at that location. I had to unload, and load another trailer and hit the road 9 hours late, dirty and sweaty. Heavy stuff and no help. My drive was 900 miles. Worker was nice and gave me an extra day. I didn't need it but I was like a zombie when it was through. Very unpleasant.

When I dropped off the car trailer at your Jefferson Park location I asked the representative questions he was unable to answer. I asked if the truck needed to be turned in on a specific day and how much I would be charged for additional days. He said he was not able to look up this information. I was surprised that the U-Haul system for tracking customer information was so limited. Any representative at any location should have the ability to look up a customer and give them this information. Because of this the truck was returned late and I was charged for an additional day because of misinformation provided by your customer service representative at Jefferson Park.

I noticed that this location floods during heavy rainfall because it was raining when I dropped off my trailer. One of the employees had to hand push water from the entrance so customers could enter.

This location honestly was great, but the reason I only gave 3 stars is because I had to go to two different locations because the trailer I booked that said available wasn’t there upon the first location. It just caused a lot of problems within my schedule and way too much running around. I should have taken my business elsewhere but the Jefferson ave location was respectful and helpful.

Initially, the hours I was able to have full access, in a vehicle, behind the gate were limited due to the gate being broken. I didn't like that, however, I understood the situation and had my items delivered to the unit during the limited access hours. All my interactions with the staff for the rental unit as well as supplies were professional and they were very helpful.

I would have rated excellent on overall experience but the pavement entering and exiting property for first 2 yrs was horrible, pot holes everywhere . In 2023 they did fix pavement going in and out much better smooth and it looks like somewhere you would like to storage your valuables.

The facility is not secure from insider theft. Someone broke the lock on my unit, riffled through my belongings and stole an heirloom lamp. Then put a word lock back on it. Current management couldn’t explain why or what happened. Stupid me, for thinking it was secure. I should have been checking more often.

Management was rude, not answering calls. The hours stated were for 24/7. That was not what I got. I had to hold a Uhaul truck for an extra day, which charged me for that day. The following day I showed up at 9, which was stated on the website and the office door. No one came in until 10-10:30. This set me behind even more. When the manager showed up, he stated the gates will only be open from 5 to 9. This was not communicated to the customers. The staff is doing their job, management is very questionable.

The locking mechanism on my new unit was EXTREMELY hard to put the lock provided on. had to shove the lock onto a small hole really close to the ground.

-I paid for Covered RV Storage with electricity. The entire time I was there the Electrical outlet never worked. I notified the staff multiple times with no change. In addition, there were numerous instances when I would attempt to remove my trailer or park my trailer after use and there was a dumpster in the way of my spot. I complained to the staff and the manager and was told that they could not do anything about it. I had to hook up a chain to the dumpster numerous times to pull it out of the way myself. In all my years of Military travel, I have utilized many different storage facilities, and never have I been treated with gross negligence and disrespect as I was at this location. I will never utilize any U-Haul service again and will encourage others to refrain as well. This was a very underwhelming experience. Our unit flooded out and our items ended up with mold all over them. We had to throw away item in our storage unit because of the mold. Also we were locked in the storage facility because the attendant pad locked the enter/exit gate closed due to the gate being broken. Then we were denied access to out things because the gate was locked after 5:00 each day because the gate was broken. It was a horrible experience and it definitely was not a 24/7 storage place like advertised!!

Email said the unit was ready. I called and was told the unit was ready, and to check in by 7pm to get 24-hour access. I arrived 5:30. The sign on the gate said open until 7pm. The U-Haul app said this location was open until 7pm. The lady at the desk told they closed at 5:30. She was busy with a return. I called again, the Reservation Specialist said there was nothing he could do, and transferred me to the main Customer Service line, at 5:30 in the evening,… wait time 55 minutes. I opened an on line chat, 15 minutes went by with no response in the chat. The lady finished the equipment return. I indicated that the sign says 7pm the webpage and app say 7pm but she said we’re closed. I said, Ok I will cancel the rental. Back in my car, trying to call again, the lady tapped on my car window and asked if I had been to their main office half mile away, that office is open until 7pm,… I said I had no idea, why didn’t you or the Reservation Specialist say that an hour ago. I drove over to the main office. Josh gave me a remote for the gate. I drove back and the gate opened when I pressed the remote. I found my unit and IT WAS LOCKED. I drove back to my hotel in Roanoke Rapids and called again. Wolfgang listened carefully, apologized, promised to take care of everything and to expect an email. So far today no email. If I don’t get a response by tomorrow I will call American Express and reverse the rental fee and mail back your remote.

I made a reservation online. When I arrived they said they had the reservation but weren't sure they could honor it. WTF? What is the point of the reservation if they won't hold the space? Then, in trying to close the rental, they weren't open very late, we had to have a person walk through it (ridiculous), and while in line, there were two people in front of me which took almost an HOUR to get to me. Ridiculously BAD customer service and systems. Needs a lot of work.

The potholes were pretty bad near the storage unit. U-Haul representative tried to charge me extra money for the storage. Which is totally wrong. They took it out my account they put it back in my account and then they took it out my account. Someone is playing around with my credit card number. I had problems from the time we moved in our belongings. Unfortunately, we stayed at the facility because in was literally 2 minutes away and the easiest to access. However, we had issues with our gate access working correctly several times (having to go get our remote replaced 3 times), our initial move in ( the staff member assigned us an unauthorized unit), the gate always being broken and open, poor communication from the previous staff (phone calls not being returned and misinformation given by staff), a condescending manager and district manager (both had an "oh well. I don't care" attitude), and a broken door to my unit.

I enjoyed the access with a remote gate opener. I was very disappointed to find out someone had stolen the catalytic converter from our RV while it was parked in the ‘secure’ lot. Upon reporting this to UHaul I was told a manager would get in touch which never happened. When I checked out, I reported the theft again, and neither of the two clerks on duty responded.

#5 above: Structures are clean and well maintained. But, there are drainage problems here. A small rain storm had my camper setting in standing water. And, the road, or path into the facility is badly rutted. I left the facility because of the rate increase. There are other more cost effective alternatives available to me. This would be a 5-star facility if U-Haul would spend some money to fix the drainage and road problems.

Got stuck in mud.Cost $ 200 for tow truck. Later boxed in by another RV; took 1 hr. To maneuver out. just informed no longer have room for storage of our RV (after a yr. there. We are on vacation)
