Dale RWhen I got in the vehicle, the mileage was 11,657. The mileage wasn’t reviewed with me and it turns out your system had 11656 miles. It was only 1 mile for me but if you guys do this to all of your customers, you are ultimately stealing money. If you steal a mile from thousands of customers, you are stealing a lot of money. An employee should come out to ask if the customer needs help returning the vehicle. No one came out and i was forced to use the app to return the vehicle. It is inconsiderate of people’s time for no one to check with the customer and have you sitting there until you are forced to use the app. If it isn’t a choice to have a human do a job, take down the sign that says wait for someone to come to return the vehicle.

Daniel JThe app glitched when i hit next steps after being sent my gate code, and it made actually getting into the building quite difficult as there are two separate pin pads, and i had no clue which one was supposed to be used, the building aren’t marked with what unit numbers are in each building, and there was no lock in my unit like it was stated on my app. I also found it odd that i did not have to put in a code to get in the gate, they were just open, the entire time i was at the facility. The office staff was nice, and provided me with a lock, but the girl who helped me with my check in, I don’t have a physical license and neeed to switch the reservation to my husband, didn’t really seem like she knew what she was doing. So i had to figure out how to do the check in online my self, with switching everything to my husbands name. Moving is hectic in its self, and just these few minor things made everything frustrating.
Christopher H | Online Move InThe main issue I have with this local Uhaul storage facility is that there was a major change in management in July 2023, some issues from the previous general manager affected my storage unit and I was never notified. A different lock was placed on my unit without me being notified until I was getting ready to empty the unit. The lady that helped me figure out what was going on was extremely helpful and I am very grateful for that. The other issue I have is that uhaul does not give a prorated refund if you close out your unit before your next billing cycle. So 3 days after the bill was auto paid, I closed out my unit and I’m out the money, but they can rent that unit again within that month for the same cost and will get double paid for the same time frame.

alfonso g | First ImpressionsI have rented over 13 trailers in the last 3 years. This facility is the ONLY one that had a problem with “MY” truck. Seriously the only one- when I rented a 3rd trailer from here, this really special associate plugged a jumper to connect the trailer and truck- which blew my fuses. We switched fuses AND changed jumpers and still it was my truck- this location will NEvER touch my truck again!!! Hence why I’ve rented from 2 separate places to move our stuff out of here. The facilities served their purpose- but I personally found that some of the people are lacking the skills necessary to be successful. Specifically the guy who did this to my truck and then totally blamed the Make/model of my truck.

RICHARD S | First ImpressionsI was told there would be a base charge of 45 due up from and then I’d be charged 0.79 cents a mile & would have to replace any gas used, which I did. My total came up to $90 and that’s without the $15 I added to the gas tank, I drove this truck MAYBE 16-18 miles, but you guys charged me for 30 miles and some other fees that weren’t discussed at the time of reservation.

Your yard is wide-open in a sketchy neighborhood.

Tim MTruck given to me was very dirty and muddy. Worker did not direct me to where my U-Haul was located correctly so I had to look for my own U-Haul resulting in me being late.

I’m fifty years old, he’s gotta be in his late fifties maybe even early sixties. Need more customer service help, phones don’t get answered and there isn’t enough help to go around….
Christian SI rented the appliance dolly and it worked like a charm moving a loveseat up 3 flights of stairs...the rollers really worked nicely for stairs...keep these in supply and I recommend them for the price and saving time and your back...
Stenna HReserved car hauler in Belton for Sat. Later on same day I got a phone call and was told the Belton dealer that I went would not have a car hauler available on Saturday and I could go to Salado to get the trailer on Friday and return it there on Sat. Went to pick it up Friday at 4:30 and the price was more than doubled the price agreed on. The people said that I could not return the trailer there because they were closud on Saturday so I would have to pay extra and return the trailer Monday. THEY WERE VERY, VERY RUDE. Icalled main # but was thorn out of office while waiting for an answer on where to go to get the car hauler. They said we are closed GET OUT. I was sent to Temple where I recieved excelent service. Would recomend the Uhaul there. I would look into the practices that the Salado store and personal because Of the images they partway. DAD FOR UHAUL Thank You Edward Sustala 281-788-3184

Carolyn G | Overall ExperienceThe access location is poor. Busy access road. Too many U-Haul trucks in the lot making maneuvering to storage facilities difficult when pulling a long trailer. The storage units access roads have very tight corners , again not comfortable navigating with a long trailer and full sized truck. Exits are difficult to access and no allowance to turn around or safely back up due to limited space and narrow roads.

Prince H | First ImpressionsHoles is the wall in the back of our unit that allowed water and animals into the unit. It was open to the outside, debris throughout. Insurance taking care of the water damage but no insurance covers rodent infestations. There were large snake skins, dead birds, boxes had been chewed, well wrapped rugs and blankets were ruined. Rodent scat and urine on most boxes and furniture. The loss financially is into the thousands due to the type of furniture. We will not use nor recommend u-haul to anyone. We never write reviews but will be adding this review to yelp, and every ratting service we can to save others from this same result.

The staff here has been super friendly and was very helpful during my moving process! I am in the process of an eviction and have two days to move out, and Miss Maria was my initial contact when I first walked in, she was very attentive to my needs and was very helpful to my situation in finding a storage unit that I could afford and that would also give me the ability to rent a truck, during my financial restrictions. Mr Dillard the general manager, was there at the time of my rental, and was helpful in guiding me with suggestions of what would be my best option to save a little money and to be able to help me take care of my moving process. With the hecticness of moving and packing they helped me walk out with confidence that everything was going to be okay because I was able to store my belongings and have a way to move them from one place to another, and as fast paces life can be, this helped ease my mind and I'm very confident that this is the right place to rent a storage and rent a truck. Thank you again miss maria!, And thank you Mr Dillard, for such an easy going experience during my time of need. I do appreciate your kindness and your patience! My issue is with customer service, who made a storage and drop off reservation in Killeen (24 minutes away) and when I arrived I was told that the room promised wasn’t available. So I had to drive that distance each way and spend extra time and money. Plus my future costs will be more. This location was great, uhaul customer service is awful and would be zero stars.

Not good for low profile vehicles and if it rains it can be muddy n slippery, with the left side having a little dip. If a tire slide over to the left, tires can slip down. Have some steep dips in this driveway area, especially on the left side, which scraped the bottom of my car. I had to change buildings to avoid driving to the back buildings. Needs leveling out, or maybe concrete layed down. My move out date on here is incorrect. I moved out Feb 28th.

When I arrived i was informed no unit would be available for many days, and it was blamed on the uhaul corporate rep I reserved through. The local employee helped to secure a unit at another facility. I expect to be given accurate info during the planning process, and the disconnect between local and corporate entities is unacceptable business practice. Please use this AAR comment to improve your inter-facility synchronization.

The storage unit we originally reserved was closed on Sunday, and Saturday evening when we arrived to central Texas. Therefore, I called U-Haul to see what were my options, and the representative told me I can use self storage with U-Haul and get the first month free. They even let us drop off the truck in that same location. Great customer service from the lady at the temple location off 35 on a general Bruce drive. She was super friendly, and took time to explain how the key card works. She really helped me feel at ease to be able to unpack the truck, and turn in the truck in time. Thank you so much!

Then received a bill sooner than expected at a higher rate.. Unable to find original receipt just paid bill. At move out was told to keep lock because it was free, told counter lady I paid for it and she said I shouldn't have. I asked for refund on lock was told no. If I do recommend this facility I would just say buyer beware, ask questions and keep all records.

However, my pick-up location in Tucson (450 N Freeway) made my move a horrific experience. The assistant Manager (Devin Kirchgatter) need addtional training. He's rude with no understanding or compassion for customers and/or team members. I was extremely disappointed how he even address other uhaul staff at other locations when speaking with them to locate equipment. He actions made me want to cancel my move and just place my belongings in storage. I convinced that he doesn't have a clue to the pressures or emotions that are involved with moving, especially long distance ones. In the past, I've always recommended Uhaul to my family and friends. I'm now revisiting my choices now due to this move experience.

Margie F | First ImpressionsI called to rent a second 10x20. The exact unit was discussed. I was told when I rented the 1st 10x20 we had till 10pm. I can only deliver at night. 3/6 went to drop a load - the sliding door was locked. I called and a person was there within 20 minutes. I was told the 10x20 was in front of my other unit - licks were on those doors tho. The rep tried to get me another unit however the only one open had a roll up and a door. The door is not good to get furniture in. Even tho numerous 10x10s were available and my assigned were given to someone else, I had to take the door unit or move into another blog. I had my reservation and all however was given a unit I dont like and can hardly get stuff into. I'm sorry uhaul does not have enough 10x20s, and have more than enough 10x10s - more money. I have gone from very satisfied customer to very displeased. I'm letting everyone kno what happened to me and I'm not recommending uhaul to anyone at this time. I wish I had a 10×20 with 2 roll up doors as my 1st unit has. Thank you for letting me vent. Gary Kattner
