Zachary provided horrible customer service upon returning a unit that had issues with the door. I called multiple times to get direction on fixing a door cable that wrapped around the bar above the door. No answers to the location or roadside. So, we removed the pins that would be required to remove ourselves so we could drive the loaded unit. Even if this was not the protocol and bothered him personally…his approach was despicable. I was not upset when I arrived. I was not interested in paying a damage though. He provided awful service and I will not use UHAUL again because of him.

I normally rent the largest 6x12 pull trailer. The price is reasonable and you can get in and out of the place very quickly, filling out the rental contract. I wish there was a slightly bigger option recognising the capabilities of newer full size pickups. I am sure there is a liability issue for novice drivers, or something. A wider/taller enclosed trailer would be a nice option so a king size mattress can comfortably fit inside.

I ordered the biggest truck they had over a month ago to move, when we got there they were all gone and received the 20 foot truck. I was not happy but they did decrease milage cost. I do think I should have gotten a little more off for inconvenience since we could have moved in one trip instead of multiple trips

the drop off place was ok, but i got a call from uhaul representative telling me that we had to drop it off to a different location than the original..a about another 2 miles out of the way....doesn't sound like much, but just overall not happy with uhaul....too many things to fill out to just get a rental...i get it because of security.....and such...just not happy with you guys.

Retire this truck. We drove it for five hours and if we could have switched trucks somehow, about 30 min in, we would have. It vibrated and shook so bad in the cab, I was in pain by the time we got to our destination.

A couple of days prior to picking up our moving truck my husband received an offer text from U-haul asking us to move a trailer to the Nashville location since U-Haul needed trailers in that location. We were advised we would not be charged for the trailer and that we would get $100 off our truck rental when we dropped off truck & trailer in Nashville. When we arrived at pickup truck and trailer in Millard, Ne location they charged my husband for the trailer. We called the pickup location and spoke with the manager he said that was corporate U-Haul that made that deal with us and we needed to deal with them vs him calling corporate on our behalf. On our move to Nashville the next morning we called corporate. They advised we should have never been charged for the trailer and that when we arrived in Nashville we should be refunded 107.00 for trailer and $100 off truck. When we arrived in Nashville to drop off the truck and trailer we were given the same treatment and that they knew nothing of the $207.00 refund and that we needed to deal with corporate again vs them calling corporate on our behalf and handling it. When I called corporate she advised they would need to investigate wether we were due a refund in-spite of it being documented by corporate and we got a text from them two days earlier saying we were due a $207.00 refund. It really felt like bait & switch and if corporate is making these deals they should be communicating with their franchises and the franchise locations should be providing better customer service and looking into things vs you are on your own to deal with corporate. Customers be aware if they offer you a deal to transport one of their pieces of equipment, I would not recommend you do it. It cost us extra money in gas to transport their trailer but also much more difficult making your 15 foot moving truck more like 30 foot which is virtually impossible to back up at any point. This trip took us four hours longer with the trailer attached since top speed with trailer is only 55 mph

Help at location for pick-up and drop off was excellent. However, it was not clear that the "furniture dolly" was a lateral dolly, not a stand-up. Glad she explained and offered the appliance dolly, instead. t was also not clear that I was renting furniture pads when ordered online. Didn't end up using them. I originally received msg that instead of 8 ft covered trailer I ordered, I was receiving a 12 ft covered trailer. The email said to respond. I initially responded to the email that I did not want the larger trailer. I never received a response. When I went in to pick up mattress bags, there were plenty of 8 ft trailers, so I assumed they were taken for my rental date. However, there were some available that day, so not sure why I received the email to begin with. Ended up keeping the 12 ft trailer since it was at same price and driver was fine with it. Very disappointed in mattress bags with handles that I purchased. I expected them to have some type of closure, but they didn't and they were very hard to work with. We ended up taping them shut and still difficult to work with. I also purchased a pkg of 2 queen size comforter bags. Very disappointed in these, too. Again, I expected them to have closures and they did not. We had to just tie them shut. Will have to purchase something else instead, for long term so wasted money.

Communication was not great... I reserved the Truck.. tt Uhaul - explained that My Son was picking it up for me... was it an issue.. Told me it wasn't. Had the truck for 24 hrs... they told him 10 hrs and the receipt reflects that. Used his bank card instead of mine. Called Uhaul to ask questions - couldn't find My Truck rental under my name; found that it was under my son's name. Checked truck in that night after closing using app to take pictures and the app quit working causing no pictures to be uploaded.. concerned about convenience fee; called the next AM to confirm all was ok... Couldn't ask questions regarding the rental , even though it shows up under MY acct, I had to bring my son on line to confirm the rep could talk to me....(I understand privacy) But... its clearly under my acct ... A whole lot of confusion for that day.

The staff at the front were so nice. Especially the gal with the green hair! Loved her. She was quirky and fun! This was my first time ever doing this and I was able to complete everything successfully with all the team's help and making me feel confident about what I was doing. The carts in the move in area were so nice and pulling the truck in the garage was helpful!! It was an amazing experience. I just wish there were trash cans around lol :) we had some stuff to throw away from dinner and couldn't find any in there! Other than that, it was great!!! I am thankful for the 1 month free storage we are getting, too!

The only thing I would recommend for improvement is the 24/7 drop off website. I had troubles getting through the website to submit the return. It would pull the order and the page would stall. Had to do this multiple times before it would work. Otherwise great and seamless experience picking up and using!

It was a HORRIBLE snowy blustery day and they had the van warming up for me which was above and beyond!
The ease of drop off was during business hours the associate was so nice and welcoming and looked over the mileage emailed my receipt and I was on my way!!!
For the kind of day it was so cold and snowy and for me a little nervous about driving the van in the weather they made me feel confident and customer service was above and beyond!! I’ve rented Uhaul trucks for several years now to pick up Girl Scout Cookies at the beginning of cookie season, this is the first year we took advantage of using a storage unit. I want to thank the cleaning lady, all my parents were very surprised on how clean the building was, she does a great job. It was very easy to get into the building for us to load and unload cookies into our unit, we liked having access to the carts and being inside out of the cold weather. After talking to other leaders and parents, we’ve all agreed to use Uhaul again next year during cookie season. Fingers crossed we can have the same unit. I also want to thank all the employees we encountered, they were all very helpful and always let us know they were locking the sliding door. Thank you for making our experience so easy.

I thought i had completed my online reservation but when i had called on sunday to find out if theyd stay open til i got there and if she had my reservation (i found out at 435p they close at 5 and I was coming from Benson, my movers were late or we'd have been there by 430), the rep said she didn't have my reservation. She said she could get me the unit I was looking for but it had to be in person. I RUSHED to get there and missed by 2 minutes. When I got a 2nd arrangement for the movers to help on Monday, things settled and I tried again Sun night to reserve a unit online, it fully completed for a 10' by 10'. I got a text giving me 2 unit numbers and an access code. Why couldn't the representative have done it over the phone?? I had to pay movers again to help in the morning, I had to buy a lock for the truck overnight, i had to have my aunt drive back to Omaha again to help me return the truck to Maple st after the movers finished the Monday, and pay for the additional day with the truck. Not fun, but worse when ya have a 4 and 5 yr old with you too. Plus, when I scoped out the unit numbers to see why it gave me two, it was giving me two 5' units which was not what i requested. So when we got there Monday I had to talk to the front desk so he could correct it. The proper unit was available so why did it give me two wrong ones? Even if i had completed the online reservation for Sunday, we would have gotten there and not had the correct size unit , even though the lady working that day said there was one available. So while it's great to be able to do it outside office hours, if you arent given the unit you want when its actually available, its not great. And again, it appears the rep couldve helped me over the phone Sunday and spared a bunch of hassle. Otherwise, the facility is clean and welcoming, plenty of carts and entrypoints.

I'm really disappointed with the rodent poison that has leaked out of the container onto the floor of the storage unit.
Also, if you're going to advertise this unit on-line for $44.95, then I shouldn't be shocked to discover it's $79.95 after I've signed the contract. That's not right.

I dealt with all the staff there and they were all exceptional. Very helpful and very friendly. The only reason I had to cancel my locker was because I moved out of the State. Even Denise who maintains the lockers offered to help me pack my items and Jeff Manages the place perfectly.

The service was great there was no aux cord portal in the uhaul to listen to the gps loudly so you constantly have to look down at your phone and that could cause a potential accident i just wish the dash had a screen for the gps map its one thing to worry about the care and safety of the uhaul but to keep taking your eyes off the road to look down at your map this could be made easier

I moved from Colorado to Nebraska ,Made a reservation for U-Haul truck and storage. Pick up the truck on July 22 , Call on July 21 to confirm to move my stuffs in the storage between July 24 and July 25 , Customer Service say OK and on the website say it will hold my reservation for seven days but when I get there on July 25 my storages reservation was all been canceled.

I was upset to learn that the size of unit I reserved online was not available when I came in on the correct day to retrieve it. It is not fair to tell a customer that they will have a 10x15 unit, and then day of it not be available and have to combine other units to get the same square footage. When I reserved it online, I expected it to be available. The attendant was not very empathetic, and blamed corporate that they don’t check if it’s available. He said it’s only square footage they could guarantee, not the exact unit. It felt like this happens frequently. I feel like that is a poor business model, what is reserved should be what is gotten. I was in immediate need of the unit that day as I needed to be out of my house and had all my family lined up to help, so I had no choice but to move forward. If I had more time, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional and with low integrity.

The worst experience I have ever had. We are brand new to this state and never done a Uhaul storage before and I would never do it again especially at this location. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service and the personnel was so beyond rude. At one point the worker (Mr. Large and in charge) picked up the phone and pressed 3 buttons and faked that he called a different Uhaul location for us. We ended up not using this location and losing out on our free month of storage and spending $250 on a different storage unit. So disgusted with this place!!!

Staff was helpful but rushed, didn't do facility tour as mentioned, had to go back to ask for a second card which was mentioned but not provided, and agent didn't inform us about the different types of locks available for purchase. We paid using a prepaid card, and the transaction had to be canceled out to switch to a different lock...which has now tied up funds waiting on that to be refunded

This is a very well maintained facility. As a woman, I had no fears in entering the facility at any time of day to take care of business as I knew it was secure.

The customer service at this location is excellent! We have recently rented a truck and just finished up with 2 storage units. The staff was always helpful, very friendly, and patient with my questions. The storage units were immaculate and well lit, the drive in area is a great option during rainy/cold weather. I will always be a U-Haul customer!

I had reserved with another company, showed up at the other storage location, during business hours, and couldn't get in. It was 3 pm, the office door was locked with a sign that said retuning at 9:30. Made several calls, went to voice mail every time.
I was making a long distance move, drive most if the night and the very last thing I needed was the other storage company to be a no show during their own business hours.
The moving crew showed up at 4 (found via uhaul, btw) and I called Uhaul.
Got a live person, made the reservation, and high tailed it over to Uhaul. Got the unit and everything unloaded in less than 2 hours. Bonus points, was also able to change the drop off location of the truck at no additional charge.
On move-in and drop off, great service all round!

Switched storage units to a new company that is $45 less than yours for the same size and features. Its 6 blocks away so the same area. They also offer free first month and free moving truck. Consider lowering prices to get more business

Was disappointed that the space I was told was available was in fact already occupied and we didn’t find that out until we got to the storage.
Also, I felt as though other matters were more important than finishing my checking process - he was more concerned about helping another employee who was on the phone with a customer looking for mattress covers- he then got side tracked talking to a different employee about something out back. I was tired and hot and just wanted to move my stuff in

I wish I knew the names of all the people involved, but the manager and the two front desk women at the Stony Brook U-Haul have been outstanding. Helpful, considerate and very easy to work with. I will need another storage facility this late summer, and I will definitely use the U-Haul facility at Stony Brook in Omaha again

Correction to Previous Review: I was mistaken in previously stating that 24 Hour Access was not available at this location. It is for an very reasonable monthly fee. I have always experienced exceptional and professional customer service, equipment rental, and moving supplies at this location. Great staff and the management has always been helpful and available to address any concerns, questions, or modifications when needed and their time and efforts are greatly appreciated.
