My only comment is that when I reserved the unit online, it wasn't clear to me that the lock was going to be shipped to me. I think if you're reserving for same-day move in, then the checkout experience should change to pick up the lock when you arrive at the place.

Karen SugdenWhen renting out a U-Haul to any customer, can we please check underneath the hood to make sure that everything is good and working and have fluids in it. The U-Haul that I rented yesterday we had no coolant and we left a lot with no coolant. My truck overheated and it got returned late to where it was unsafe to be on the road.

Stacee Morriscargo van rented broke down (broken driver side inner tie rod) but roadside assistance was VERY helpful and ensured i was able to get a replacement vehicle (10' van) and arranged for Uber drive to closer U-Haul location so i did not have to return to original U-Haul place of pickup for replacement unit. Although i lost 2.5 hours of time due to this inconvenience, i did not have to pay additional fees because of roadside assistance and the overtly helpful U-Haul customer service agent!
Craig DillonProperly maintain your vehicles. Cup holders wouldn’t hold any drinks. Cargo Door hinges needed to be lubricated so it would roll easy.
david wilsonI was told when made my reservation that I was alloted 75 mileage and after that I would have to pay so I paid for an extra 10 miles. When I picked no one said nothing and I was on my way. Once I turned in the clerk did that I owed for 89. I was in disbelief and I paid it. I feel like charging mileage the way you do is highway robbery. I will be calling.

Mac NolenEverything went smooth until I went outside to get my vehicle. It wasn’t parked where it was supposed to be. Finally found it after about 10 minutes of looking and it was in the middle of two other trucks. I’ve always had someone come to the vehicle with me to review it. I had to go back in, the guy acted bothered, then got me another truck that I was supposed to have the first go around. We were on a schedule and this experience set us back about 45 minutes.

Patrick Leddy(NOTE: I dropped off the rental unit in Lenoir City, TN - NOT in Murfreesboro, TN. This review is for the Lenoir City, TN location.) BE COMPLETELY CERTAIN TO HAVE A DOCUMENTED CONFIRMATION RECORD OF WHEN AND WHERE YOU TURNED IN THE RENTAL UNIT. I rented a trailer from Pensacola, FL to be turned in to a location in Lenoir City, TN. I did just that and received a text message that I turned in the unit. However, the unit was not actually turned in in the system by another person (not by the person with whom I dealt the day the unit was turned in). The unit was then rented out for 7 days and was turned in to the Murfreesboro, TN location. I was charged for these additional 7 days and for turning in the unit to a different location! It took 4 days of phone calls for U-Haul to finally refund me the extra charge.

Ashley VandiverDear Uhaul, Contract # 27285517 Recently we rented a 20 ft. truck for a 2 day charge of about 143 dollars. However because of the winter storm, we had to deliver it today 2 days late. They assured us that we would not have to pay the extra 40 a day. However, when we delivered it, the contract had been changed to 3 days instead of 2 and charged about 176 plus taxes & fees for over $200. Richard SchroederThe young man that waited on me when I returned the trailer at 2pm ish on January 7th was extremely rude. I approached the counter and a lady was sitting down. She looked at me then looked away without saying a word so I assumed she didn’t want to wait on me. So I went to the young man who was playing on his phone. He looked up from his phone without saying a word. I said I was returning a trailer. Without saying a word he looked back down to his phone, got up and started walking to a door. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to go with him but did. All the way to the trailer he never looked up from his phone and never said a word to me. We got to the trailer. He lifted it off and onto the ground. I jokingly said ‘your back is a lot stronger than mine’ just because this was a horribly uncomfortable experience. He looked at me said ‘you are all set’, looked back down at his phone and started walking back into the store without a smile, thank you, or anything cordial. I hope you have security cameras and observe this young man. I’m sure I wasn’t the only customer he treated like this on that day. He is losing business for you…he lost you mine. I never leave bad feedback like this but had to on this experience. I hope you do something about it.

Asked if the gentlemen could show me how to perform the enter and exit procedures, he responded as if he didn’t want to. His body language screamed figure it out on your own. As if that wasn’t enough, when I asked if he could help me locate the storage unit or perhaps give a tour he simply responded “they don’t pay me enough for tours” and proceeded to point to the map and walked off. Poor customer service.

Called customer service and was inside the office. During my 90min interaction with both, no one thought to mention that if I switched, I'd loose the $125 I already paid. No one mentioned it until they had cancelled the first unit and set up the 2nd. Absolute waste of time, effort and energy. I don't understand why no one would have said something at the beginning. Obviously we didn't upgrade because who has $125 to just throw away

They were so helpful and explained how everything worked, the alarms, how to access the storage unit and the hours. I was originally supposed to turn my truck in at another U-Haul place and they were kind enough to make arrangements for me to turn it in there. The facility was extremely clean. My unit was on the second floor. I was impressed that they had carts for use to assist in moving all of my household goods. Usually moving can be a hassle, however the staff at this U-Haul storage facility made it a breeze and hassle-free.

This visit our reserved room was 1/3 way full with the previous owners items. I was told the lock I purchased would be in the unit. If the lock had been in the unit they would have known it wasn’t empty. This is totally unacceptable.

They did however rectify that for me. The other issue is that the rollup doors weren’t working so when I had to unload in the rain, I could not back all the way up and in to the unloading area. This definitely needs to be remedied.

The mechanically controlled roll up doors in the loading bay areas were not working, which meant the truck couldn’t be backed in fully and the contents got wet in the rain. Additionally, having a cement pillar in a 5x10 unit makes it substantially more difficult to store large items.

I finally was given a third and final storage unit that was a full unit, but your staff should have a better idea as to which is used and reduced. Also, I recommend a price reduction on those units as you are not getting space paid for.

She had an attitude the entire time, walked off with an attitude and everything, which I feel you shouldn’t have that kind of attitude period specially dealing with people who are already going through a overwhelming time of moving and relocating the last thing they need is a bad attitude customer rep. The others however were super nice and helped me out a ton, I believe he was a manager I decided to talk to him about exactly what I needed because the previous rep was soooo rude I no longer wanted to deal with her. And he helped me out and it was super easy and quick.

Incredibly friendly staff, especially the lady at the front with green or blue hair. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

I had a specific unit which they said I could reserve on the first floor (did this about a week or so ahead of the actual time needed for move-in). When I went to pay for and secure the unit...they had rented it and said they could not actually hold or "reserve" a specific unit location or type requested. In the end I got a good unit, just on the third floor.

The security card I was given did not work, it set off the alarm for the entire building. I sat there for 10 minutes with the building alarm screaming aloud and could not get ahold of anyone to help me. I left with my stuff and never even got to move in.

Very inconvenient if you are carrying heavy items. We had to try to go to the facility during off times so it wasn’t as busy. The layout was not planned correctly. The original employee who signed me up made some mistakes. Spelled my name wrong, didn’t set up auto draft correctly, and had me down for the wrong storage number. The employees who corrected it were nice and helpful but the initial employee was not a good experience.

Multiple bedding items (stores in containers) had to be thrown away due to mold. When I rented the unit I did not think mold would be an issue, but come to find it did. If I did it all over again, I would want to be briefed that mold is a potential issue so that I could plan more accordingly.
