The process was easy and they answered all my questions. The staff was kind and fun to talk to. My only complaint is whenever i set up my storage unit, i talked to the staff member and told them that at the time of my next payment due date, i would be unable to come in and pay and would not be able to access the website due to being out of state and very busy. They told me that they could help me set up an automatic payment through my bank account and that’s what we did. The time came of when my unit rent was due and Uhaul did not automatically take it out and i was charged a late fee of 15$ — I called customer service and explained and they said that i wasn’t set up with the automatic payment system but told me we can do it over the phone (which we did) — they ended up still charging me the 15$ on top of my original payment.

I get being overwhelmed and frustrated, but this isn't a credit or debit card that I can just freeze. It's my identity that can cause me a world of problems, mentally and financially. Tried multiple times to reach the GM and he never responded back. Sure, you're closed for the evening. However, when your corporate is calling you and leaving messages to please respond because one of your employees screwed up and did not return someone's DRIVERS LICENSE, that's a big deal. Disappointed in that situation's handling. Yet, I am not at all surprised. Don't be in a salaried, higher up position if you can't be reachable and accountable 24/7. This issue was not minor, it was major.

William J.I had reserved/selected a dolly with my rental and was told they didn't have any at the store but the truck would have one strapped in the back. I drove home and discovered there was no dolly. I should've checked but they should know what their equipment is. I came back and the guy gave me an appliance dolly which was nice. He said they never know what their equipment looks like and apologized but they should as employees of Uhaul take the time to check their equipment when it comes in.

Vickie H.I would like to comment on the employee that attended to us for our trailer rental. He was not friendly at all, and seemed irritated and charged us for two days when we were told that it would just be a one day rental. It got there two hours after the 24 hour pick up time but I had originally told them that it wouldn't be back until six (we got it there at 4:40 PM.) and I asked him how much it would be and he said the $29 daily charge. I was not happy with the customer service at all. People can at least be friendly.

Christopher M.The initial vehicle I was provided had a tire with low pressure, risking it failing while I was using it during my rental period. The staff member was able to get me a different one, which I appreciate. Your staff member did a great job, and was professional, but was the only person working on a busy saturday morning. The volume of work and variety of tasks he was expected to do was obviously more than one person could have handled. If staff are going to be mistreated and the facility not provided proper levels of personnel, I will plan to take future business elsewhere. The management in this case did an unsatisfactory job.

James S.Currently disputing a charge. U-Haul corporate gave us a second location to drop off the trailer after the first location was closed on a Wednesday but it listed they were to be open…. So they gave us a new location and suddenly today we are receiving a $4000 charge saying that we've had the trailer for over 100 days. 100% UHaul's fault. Disputing the charge. Terrible customer service on the Dallas end of this transaction.
Laurie D.Truck did not have working ac. Windshield was so dirty on the inside you could barely see out of it when head lights of cars coming in the opposite direction shined in it. I mentioned not having a functioning truck when checking it in and they guy checking the truck in went outside to check the truck in and never returned. I did speak with another guy on the counter about the ac issue on the truck and he suggested to just roll the window down.

It had a low tire pressure light so i reported that and was told faulty sensor. also, the passenger door had been previously hit so when we were driving it sounded like the door was open the entire time. I ordered a dolly and it was not in the truck as they thought it was. i think the staff were VERY nice to everyone in line. they made it easy to pick up. the facility is super clean and i love the return lane!

All of our things were heavy and on the 2nd floor. When someone pushes 3 for third floor it shuts the elevator down. Reported it to the local fire marshal and will be reporting it to the state elevator inspector. If they are not going to fix the elevator they should not rent units above ground level. Frustrated and will not use uhaul again. Many others felt the same way yesterday.

Ed C. | Overall ExperienceMy unit is on the second floor. The elevator stopped working and we were trapped on the 2nd floor. We call the GM on his after hrs cell. But never heard anything back! It was extremely hot on the 2nd floor as well. There needs to be a cooler temperature on that floor. I am disabled and having to navigate the steps was very dangerous. My son had to finish moving my items on the u-haul truck up the stairs. It was absolutely ridiculous!!! Apparently this elevator malfunctions often because the door is help open when people are trying to move their items off the elevator. This must be addressed!!

The storage area for boats and RVs is exceptionally nice. It is completely covered and the surface area is covered in gravel. Driveways are large and there is plenty of room to maneuver. It is well lighted and secure. It is a first class facility!

Kim called to ask me to move into the correct one and advised I would have help from the staff. No one was able to help. The alarms went off. I was assured that my payment will be taking out on July 7th due to the inconvenience. They ended up charging me a late fee with no calls or paperwork to my apartment. They went directly to the co applicant on the storage unit. Two weeks with no follow up from Greg. I am absolutely disappointed. With no follow up from management, I decided to cancel my unit at u-haul and move into a different site in town. I will not recommend this facility to anyone in town looking for storage.

DAVID S. | First ImpressionsI booked a 10x15 unit, on the 1st floor, months ago. I had a move in date of 5/8. When I got there, there was no 10x15 available on the 1st floor. I was told I could have a 5x5 and a 10x10 on the 1st floor. When I arrived with movers from out of state, 1 of the units had padlocks and the other was a 10x5, not a 10x10. Had to move to the 3rd floor. The elevator broke!!! It took a couple of hours to fix. Movers, nor I were too happy. Attendant couple not change my access card to the new unit. Went back yesterday and none of my info was in the system. Had to start all over again. What a fiasco, especially at a brand new, state of the art facility!!

Staff gave me a second one that worked only one time. Another customer let me in and out and the staff walked me back to the entry with my third fob to make sure it worked. The first space I was assigned (83) was not available because the trailer beside me was taking up its space and mine so that was another trip to the office to get a different space. The signature machine did not work at the first cash register so we had to use register at one and the signature machine at the next one. I encountered two other very disgruntled customers during my multiple trips to the office. The mechanic was having trouble installing something on a customer's vehicle and ran his battery down. He had been there over two hours when I arrived. The other customer had been given a different vehicle the day before, but refused the customer's request to change the paperwork. You have customer service and machinery (fob and signature) issues that management needs to address. The staff lady on duty that day handled it all very very well and should be given a bonus.

The elevator got stuck on the first floor. After two hours of waiting and trying different things, my husband forced the door closed (no nothing was blocking it) and it started working again. He only had to force it a couple of inches. It looked closed before but obviously was not. The staff was unsympathetic. It did not help my opinion because I had called a week in advance to reserve a unit. When we got there, nothing had been reserved and I had to wait to do everything. No one told me I needed to go in to get the unit in advance. If I had known ahead of time, things (except for the elevator) would have gone much more smoothly. If I had the manpower and the money, we would find a different storage facility. As it is, I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
