The after hours drop off procedure was very difficult to navigate and resulted in confusion. More signage is needed, and a better web app for unattended drop off (not the mobile app which I didn't use) would be very helpful. Overall a frustrating experience which I'd be hesitant to repeat.

Daniel MThe U-Haul counter representative neglected to explain to the customer the billing process for daily charges. Despite prepaying for a two-day rental, upon checkout, an additional day's charge of $21 was incurred. Although instructed to return the vehicle before 5 pm on the second day, it wasn't clearly communicated that all rentals commence and conclude at 9 am. The U-Haul rep appeared NOT TO CARE about anything. English level was borderline and repeatedly asked me to look at the computer screen to help him read. During the entire time renting the dolly, the U-Haul rep remained seated and use his pen to direct me to sort the dolly out away from the furniture dolly. This was a self service job at best. I only lived 0.9 miles from the location. I would have stopped by on my way to return the dolly by 9am. I felt that I had been cheated by unscrupulous DO NOT CArE employee.

Not only was he affable and efficient - completing the install faster than I had expected - but any hesitation I might have had beforehand about having my hitch installed at U-Haul vanished within minutes of talking to him as his experience and expertise were obvious. I really hope U-Haul appreciates what an asset he is to the organization - without him I probably would be reluctant about recommending U-Haul's hitch installation service, but now I'll be enthusiastically recommending David in particular to anyone who asks. Give that man a raise!

Kimberly LOnly shortfall was a change in leadership at this location just prior to my reservation - I had to go in person to reach someone with knowledge - first person I met didn't have enough knowledge, 2nd person was a GM from another location that fixed the scheduling and reservation problems. The iphone app could be downloaded, but it wouldn't allow me to sign in - we showed the in-store GM and they too didn't know why. So, the downside was it required me to visit the store in person which is not what I wanted to do, but it got the process going. Overall, the experience was pleasant after we got my reservation made.
Eric AHave vehicles test driven before re-renting. The truck shook heavily while braking and the transmission felt like it was stuck in between gears.
Brian HTerrible Customer service. They gave me a truck that wouldn’t pick up when driving Al’s to switch they stated they had nothing although there were 30 trucks literally in the parking area. Was over charged. I was charged for miles I didn’t use and was charged gas when I put the gas back. Had to contact customer service and provide photo proof to get refunded. It happens before when I was over charged but had no proof as I did the first time. Terrible store will never do business here again never ever again. The people ignore you and are rude and rush you out the store .

Aziz AI rented this same trailer back in the summer time and reported a problem with the back door. There are two cam locks for the door handle, one keeps it in the closed position (with a hole for a padlock), the other holds it in the open position. The open position piece is missing. As a result, when the door is open, the handle hangs down, inside the opening. This weekend, and also back in the summer, I hit my head on that piece several times during the day. So fix the trailer before someone splits their head open on it.

Joseph MOverall experience was excellent. However, there is an error in the final mileage. The last two numbers are reversed. The actual mileage at the end was 114846, but the uhaul employee entered 114864. I have sent a separate email requesting that this be corrected and the excess mileage charge be refunded to me.

Kurtis EAll three employees on duty were incredibly helpful. We had issues with the trailer hitch install, and one of the employees went above and beyond to make sure we could fix it, and once that failed (our trailer ball we thought would fit the hitch was the wrong size, and he tried three times to replace it with something they had on hand, but nothing worked), the team was able to get us a new setup to move what we needed to move without incident. Seamless.

KARL EThis Northborough MA location was very good. However, I would like to let you know that the Spring-Cypress location in Soring Texas was horrible. When the UBox was delivered to my driveway in Soring, the door was broken and coming off the hinges, couldn’t open it fully or close it fully. I was told, “Kayce delivered it and said it was fine@. It was not I had to have them replace it. Secondly, Christina who answered the phone in that Spring Texas location was quite rude and literally asked me in a very rude and arrogant manner why I was calling there! And when I tried to talk to someone about why the UBox had not shipped almost a week after I was told it had, I got a total idiot who knew nothing and apparently didn’t know how to check the system.

Gustavo FI had two separate orders for 2 vehicles in a two day period The first day I needed a van, and even though I had made a reservation , the equipment was unavailable and I had to drive the next town over to another U-Haul that had the moving van . On top of that the 4 wheel furnature dollies were all out which I had also pre reserved and the only other option was for me to purchase one from the store to keep. Which wasn't nearly as good of quality as the red ones you usually have. To be honest I'm a little upset the clerk didn't think to compensate for any of my hardships in the two days I rented from them . I didn't ask for any discount. I figured I'd just do it here when the time came. Even worse I believe I still got charged for the furnature dolly rental that I never got 3 times . Because 1 rental was 1 day and the 2nd rental was for 2 days . So overall my complaints are that I had to go out of my way to get the van I needed and also that I was forced to purchase a dolly because they didn't have one available on site. Those two things really threw.a speed bump in My whole moving experience

Upon arrival my reservation was changed, they did not have a 15 foot truck, my reservation time was changed even though I had a confirmation email. Although I only agreed to a change pickup my drop off was also changed to this new location.
Tyler VThe U-Box experience with UHaul was a miserable experience. I was completing a coast-to-coast move and was using one U-Box to do so. On arrival to this site the representative was unfriendly and unhelpful in finding my box. After filling my box I checked in with the rep at this site and a customer service rep to ensure I was all set for the move and was told I had nothing else to do. I then logged in a few days later to see if I could get a tracking number for my box when I saw that my order was cancelled without reason or notification. My stuff was all still at the site but because of this cancellation on UHaul's part (for which I still have not been given a reason for why it happened) my box arrived over a week later than it was supposed to, leaving me with no furniture and limited clothing and supplies in my new apartment. I was promised a refund for each day late the box arrived but had to reach out AGAIN to get the refund and was only refunded half of what I was promised. After spending many hours over several days and being tossed from one customer service rep to the next I gave up. Extremely frustrated that all these issues occurred and I was not given an explanation or properly compensated for my troubles. Will never be using this service again and would not recommend to others.

Think he should be recognized for his great efforts I know I've seen him there a few times in the short period I used the storage unit. Guy deserves a raise!!

The only issue we had was with the Uhaul central organization that answered the phone and set up our reservation for a truck and the storage unit. They reported incorrect business hours, which delayed our move by over 2 hours. The facility was actually opened and staffed at 7 am, but Uhaul told us they didn’t open until 9, which delayed our move and packing team.

Facility was perfect, particularly liked the drive-in garage. The unit itself was very dusty - so maybe a pre-move in sweep could be one additional improvement. Thank you!

Who was upset as there was some billing issues and not recorded properly? I had emptied the storage two months ago and did inform the young lady at the desk. Also how I was able to set some items aside for recycling another person may use, it was great. The clothing donations bins on site was extremely convenient. The MONTH FREE storage for renting a vehicle was a blessing! Management, cleanliness, storage/truck availability, indoor heat fan by the garage door. Ok you guys did it, this store did it and that man should be the face of your advertisement. I pray God bless and protect each one of you, and thank you for making our lives a little bit less stressful during these difficult times.

The garage door had come down in the middle of the hotter summer months and this created a humid environment. The sliding glass security doors between the parking area and the storage units was very foggy. Because of these changed conditions and being closer to the front, my belongs had mold that I had to spray/wipe down upon move out.

daivd v | Overall ExperienceWe measured UHaul's superiority over the competition in the following areas: - Customer service: We worked with Felix and Sarah in the Northborough location and they were truly remarkable. This aspect stood out most to us. Sarah went the extra mile to reserve two different sized storage units for us that were across from each other to ensure our convenience. Felix dedicated his time to both us and the movers and made the actual move date very efficient. - Cost: Comparable to the competition, but at this cost, the competition's storage units were not indoors and heated and did not sell moving supplies. - Moving supplies: Order a little more than you think you need and save the receipt. We returned all unused boxes and unopened items for a full refund. We were very happy about this! If you opt to order supplies online, allow for free delivery 2-3 weeks prior to move date. - Heated indoor storage (as stated above). - Several sizes of storage compartments from which to choose. - Access hours were far better than ALL of the area competition! - Indoor lightining and cameras go far to ensure security of belongings. Recommend that phone and in-person communication may provide a more fruitful experience than using the online. Seeing supplies before you buy and taking advantage of professional expertise will leave you satisfied.
