This location tried to overcharge us an additional $144 even though we retaliate of the equipment and the vehicle in perfect order. They are itorious for charging your credit card for unauthorized fees. I would not recommend them.

Rhonda FergusonOriginally told that my 26' truckreservation was not available. After I contacted an online service manager store stated that they did have two 26 ‘ trucks on the lot, but they had not been entered into the system, due to being returned late. I was ultimately able to get one of the 26' trucks. Everything went smoothly after that, but wish they were more efficient initially with documenting their inventory .

BYRON COLEMANI rented a truck literally drive maybe 4 miles and I was told I drove 75! The person that rented me the truck though he was swamped was extremely nice! The guy who checked the truck in was very rude! After I expressed my concerns I was meet with what felt like a threat! I asked him what could I do about the truck miles being off, and he replied after cutting me off servral times, “ if I check this truck and the miles are not wrong then what? What are you gonna do then?” I did not like that response at all and it ended with me leaving the store because he refused to hear me at the very least. He ultimately told me, you should have checked the miles before you left and if they were wrong oh well because you’re gonna pay for them!”

janene brownFirst my reservation was for 1:30pm I got there about 1:45pm when I finally got the vehicle I reserved it was almost 3pm took way to long. The van I reserved came back smelling like cigarette smoke my wife did not approve. We asked for a discount and was told they could put us in another vehicle when we got the 10 foot box truck was was sent a link to inspect it the plate number in the link didn’t match the truck they gave us and the link just wouldn’t allow me to go further so I informed them that it didn’t match and ended up waiting even longer for the agents to make adjustments so I could get moving with my day. All of this really hindered my day which caused me to get back after 7:30pm which is when the vehicle was due back I said yes to recommend this place but that’s because usually the service at the location is average or a little bit below that. But the day I was there the service wasn’t good (I’m trying to be nice here) the truck they gave me didn’t match my inspection truck and I was misinformed about when they closed which caused me to close up via the link and caused me to be late l didn’t like that. Service sucked on this day

regina canty | Overall ExperienceThis location is old and outdated, they don't honor none of the deals they promote such as, first month free etc. they had a storage container listed that was large enough to hold a one bedroom apt, I got it, and once I got there to use it it was small and could even get my queen size bed inside of it. The employees couldn't do anything to help me, they still charged me the same rate even tho the space wasn't what was prompted. I hired movers that was one a time limit and we wasted almost an hour trying to find my reservation for the storage space.. the workers were ok. But the system is old And outdated, I figure. I'm Never going there again. Once I find another storage I'm getting my belongings out of there and moving around!.. wouldn't refer this place to anyone!! Zero stars!!

DAN MORGANI’ve rented from this location over the years several times. I also recommend Uhaul to my clients quite often too. 2/11/24 I went in to rent a $19.99 Truck with my Temp License that State of Illinois provides when you’re able to renew your license online vs in person. I was told by a Man working with a customer in the next workstation that my phone DL was unacceptable, however State of Illinois clearly stated on the digital copy “This is your Drivers License and used until hard copy arrives. I was told that the they would have to scan, which on the digital format it shows my DL front & back side by side” I was told I had to come with the paper copy & was advised to print the document & come back. I was confused… however asked if I could forward my email from CyberDrive, State of IL to the store for them to print. I was told that the store is unable to receive any outside emails & can’t print outside prints. I asked for a Manager & my request was ignored. I asked for references to what’s near & the Man said Currency Exchange, but did not know a location. . A customer suggested a few, I went knowing my client was waiting & the movers too. I arrived at recommended location to see it was closed on Sunday. I googled & the closest open on a Sunday was about 25min away. I returned to 71st location & asked if they could search State of IL website & they can see my Drivers License is in good standing. I was embarrassed with a store full of customers that I was accused of coming into the location with false information, that I was lieing about who I was. Although I had several credit:debit cards & my State ID. I also suggested they Googled my name for I’m a Business women & I’ve been trying to rent a truck for over 75min which in my world is costing me for it only takes 10min & my team is waiting, the customer is waiting. As I asked for a manger again, there was another face. The original lady that was helping me before the Man stopped with his customer & interjected to tell me above & now another guy. The guy stated he was a manger and the Man again interrupted & gave his accusations of my transaction & me as a Scammer again in a store filled with customers!!! I told the Man I would like to call corporate, he tells me UHUAL corporate is 24/7 and proceed to give me UHUAL customer service number. I said there’s a difference & corporate is closed on Sunday once I googled for myself. There is more that I’m leaving out. I rent from locations that works for my client needs, location & makes sense for pick up/drop off etc. I’m requesting to speak to someone from Corporate, for no customer should experience the embarrassment I went through, get treated the way I did & be accused of trying to commit a crime. I’m requesting that policies be clear to customers & available. I’m suggesting that as any state changes there Drivers License procedures or policies that UHUAL employees are made aware of & properly changed. I suggest that UHUAL employees receive MANDATORY customer service training more often as a requirement!

All her employees were even looking at her like she was crazy. She wouldn’t assist in any way and when I asked her for help, she pulled off and said she’s getting off. Her attitude, facial expressions and the way she deals with customers is very disappointing. She legit should NEVER work with people again because she’s not a people person. The assistant manager was amazing. He was so helpful and apologetic over the HORRIBLE experience we had with the manager. Fire the girl and hire him because she’s BEYOND rude. While she works there I will NEVER recommend anyone do business at the Uhaul on 71st.
