phil FThe outside of both truck and trailer were very dirty. I was rushed out when picking up the unit and as a result I got pulled over because the trailer wiring wasn't working properly. Thankfully i was able to fix the problem and didn't get a ticket. The clock in the truck was an hour slow so I almost missed the return time. The office was locked at 5 minutes before closing time so I couldn't both return my unit on time and let them know about the bad wiring. This is the only negative experience I've had at this location after using it for several years.
Nathan EGarbage is all over the ground and blowing throughout the yard. The trailer I rented was covered in mud, the entire outside was filthy. I’ve never seen so many filthy uhauls and this location had less clean than dirty. This location will be a last resort for me next time.

He even found a way to set me up with a trailer located on the south side so I did not have to travel all the way to the north end of the city. In a time when it feels like finding just satisfactory service can be difficult, I can't tell you how impressed I was with the EXCEPTIONAL service Aus provided me. He deserves to be recognized for his commitment to the customer experience and I would strongly recommend promoting him to a position where he utilize his skillset to coach others. Thank you!

Chukwuebuka II want to let you be aware of issues I experienced booking a truck from U-Haul. I downloaded the app as suggested, I creasted an account and uploaded my drivers licence and credit card information. This done three days prior to the booking. I attempted to access my booking the day before on the app. I could not gain accress and got an error code. I attempted to resert my password and still got an error code so I called the location where I was to originally pick up the truck. the dealer said there was no booking registered there and abruptly told me to call to 800 number and hung up. I called that number and very quickly had a customer service rep call me and she was very helpful to straighten out this matter. I recieved a call the day of my booking to tell me my pick up location was changed. I started to drive to that location and while I was driving to the latest location , I recieved another call telling me my pick up location was once again changed because the truck at the third location had been broken into. I then recieved another call from someone to confirm my fourth pick up I can on location. I obviously agreed because I had everything arranged to do the move. The Southside was excellent and I can not say enough good things about them. I have a minimum of 10 emails from the time I engaged with Uhaul to book a truck. This leads to me to my concern of security on your site. I want to know what has happened with my credit card information and drivers licence information that I submitted through the app. I would appreciate it if you could forward my experience and concerns to the appropriate people at U-Haul. Ron JThank you for providing excellent service. One recommendation is that clients should be reminded to release the emergency brake prior to driving, and shown where it is. The instructions within the U-Haul were a little unclear, as it made it sound like all that was needed was depressing the brake to shift gears. Perhaps add a note saying "If you hear the alarm beeping while trying to drive, this means the emergency brake is on. Work on the communication of the emergency brake release.

Guy CThe tire on the trailer I rented was likely flat when I picked it up. The tires are a heavy ply and you can’t tell until you load it. Well I was filling it the whole weekend, constantly. A quick check with a guage will fix this for the next customer.

Kamaljit SHorrible experience with uhaul. I rented a truck and auto transporter to drive across Canada back in mid January. The auto transporter had not 1 but 5 flat tires during this trip before uhaul finally listened to my request and replaced the tire and rim. We were stuck on the side of highways for between 6-9+ hours multiple times in horrible weather conditions with -40 weather. 2 nights we were able to make it to a hotel to stay as the mechanics were not able to come until morning which uhaul did credit the hotel fees back. The 3 others times we were forced to still in the uhaul running the engine to keep warm. This delayed the trip multiple days and was quite terrifying for us 2 woman travelling. When I returned the equipment I had issues as the uhaul that rented the auto transporter had the wrong equipment number written on the paper and the online information. After such a horrible experience I expected a fund for part of the almost $3000 I paid as this ways such a horrendous experience, gas wasted running the vehicle to keep warm, missed work which I lost money. However after contacting uhaul several times and being told I be contacted back for months still no call back to justify this and no refund amount put back on my credit card beside 2 nights at a hotel. Nobody will take responsibility or make things right.

RONALD M | Overall ExperienceWe needed to pick up the truck before 7am. It was blocked in by two other trucks. We were told to call multiple different numbers to resolve the issue. After waiting in the lot from 6:45am someone finally came to get the truck out at just after 8am.
JAMES SI am a frequent renter Computer system was down so rental checkin took 45 min. Truck was not clean and the back of the truck smelled really bad, need to be washed out with soap and water. Truck was dirty inside and out and had garbage in it from previous rental I was not aware that my mileage cost was different / much higher to what I was expecting and based on the day of rental. I would have rented on a different day. I will probably go with renting a van from Home Depot next time.

Edward WWe drove over several screws that were on the ground where we dropped the trailer off. We are lucky we didn't get a tire puncture. I let the staff be aware of the screws; customers shouldn't have to point out hazards in the parking lot. Site locked trashy, better housekeeping and cleaning of random scraps of garbage throughout site should be considered.

Maxwell ZAfter trying to return the truck to the original location (which was closed for renovations since November 30, 2023 and spending 20 minutes on the phone with U-Haul to find a new drop off location the staff at this location were patient and very helpful despite a very frustrating experience. Would highly recommend this location but likely will never use U-Haul again because of all of the other issues.

Roland LA random guy without anything identifying himself as an employee came up to me and said "Keys" and stuck out his hand. I honestly thought some random guy was asking for the keys so I went to the counter and asked if he worked there. The same dude then checked my Uhaul and told me that I owed $125 more. I said there is absolutely no way since I was returning it a day early and under the 3800 allotted kms. He kept telling me I had to pay until another employee came and corrected him and said they actually owed me $125. Overall super strange interaction. Would not recommend.

Ron ZHad my storage locker broken into and my items stolen out of my locker. My entire locker was gone through and destroyed and even though there’s a camera pointing directly at my locker “there was no footage” absolutely ridiculous place to think your items are safe when they certainly aren’t.

We were very happy with our staff interactions. Storage unit door was a bit banged up and the weather stripping on the side of the doors would buckle and come out when trying to close the unit. Water (likely from big storms) leaked through the roof of the unit and damaged some boxes.

My father cut himself on a screw when we were unloading. And the access door to the building with the units was blocked by trailers, forcing us to unload our truck a significant distance away.

I booked a truck and storage 32 days in advance for my move from Winnipeg to Edmonton. 2 days before I'm supposed to pick up my truck I get a call that the location changed. It was 400 meters from where I work and that is the way I wanted it, they moved it 6km away, not a huge deal , until they called me the day before I'm picking up the truck and moved it to Winnipeg beach, 80km away! 160km round trip !! They did discount the truck but to me that did not matter, I had to scramble like crazy to get this done and I'm moving 1300km. Did not need that stress but I got it done. So now when I get to Edmonton where my locker was booked more then a month in advance, they don't have my locker. They gave me a smaller one and said I have to be out in 3 weeks because someone has it booked.. where was mine ? Now this is where it gets really good. Could not fit all my stuff in there , had a $400 bookcase stolen . Found that out when I went to load with my movers . Now my storage is blocked by one of thier trailers, the woman working said I should have phoned first before moving my stuff !! It's my stuff way should I have to give notice? She was rude , running around like she had no idea what she was doing. She cost me an extra hour of move time because they had to walk my stuff an extra 40 feet because she couldn't move the trailer for me . Rudest person I've ever delt with anywhere. She cost me $180 because of her disorganization. Just so rude and ignorant. She doesn't deserve that position, I'd be fired if I did my job the way she did. Walking around hollering at people. Worst experience ever and I've done this move 5 times now. This one I will never forget. Do not ever go to uhaul, South side Edmonton, 51 ave . Be warned now .

Recieved hate mail each month The inability to do auto payment when getting storage was frustrating The space was locked to get to the unit. Each time a longgatted process Paying only a few months in advance rhrough the till seemed ridiculous Cash payment was also trouble. Preferred plastic because no cash till. Maybe an offer for checking out early on a paid would be a courtesy This form should have a comment area under each question .... was the faculty clean. Not so much - run down is more like it. Clean ish. What do you mean by clean? The staff was super good. Great people.
