The gas tank had less than a tank of gas when I picked it up. I had to put gas in it before I started using it. I would have expected that the gas tank would be full prior to me taking it. This was very inconvenient for me.

I had originally booked to drop off in Sudbury at a more convenient location that was open until 9pm. On my way there I got a call from U-hail advising that I would have to drop it at a different location that closed at 5pm. I pulled into Sudbury at 4pm and had to rush to drop the car on the road near my destination and race over to the less convenient drop off location by 5 because uhaul said the location they confirmed drop off with me the day before “doesn’t accept one way rentals”

When dropping off after hours, we were required to use the app to avoid a "service charge". But the app continued to refresh instead of submit our information. It was a frustrating drop off experience.

The person working had no customer service skills. As well our UHall had 1/8 of a tank of gas in it when we got in and we’re expected to fill it up to 3/4 full when returned. Mediocre experience at best.

Two tires were flat. Check tires before renting maybe? Also I Tried to return boxes but the cashier said i had to go to a different u-haul location to return boxes. Not happy about that

Maintain your trailers and not send people out with blown lights on a trailer, especially if their traveling across Canada.

Interior of truck was very clean. Exterior was dirty, mirrors were dirty. Would have liked to have the windows and mirrors clean when driving & backing up. Check out and return was fast and efficient.

The equipment was well maintained for the most part, the tire straps for the car dolly were frayed which made it hard to connect them. The gentleman at this location was extremely helpful, showed us how to hook everything up, very professional.

My rental reservation was not set up properly and when I went to pick up the truck (15" because they did not have any 20" or 26" available for November 30th or December 1st when I tried booking it 2 weeks ago. I asked if they could let me know if they had a cancellation, the employee said yes) The truck was not assigned to my name for some reason, so I called costumer service, the employee was useless, could not explain why I had received the confirmation, but did not have a truck available and ready for me. She kept repeating that all she could tell me was that there was no truck available at that location or any other locations in my area. We asked to speak with a manager to see if they could help us. She was super helpful, found us a bigger truck for the next morning and gave us a $50 credt. I am not impressed with the employee at the Barrydowne location in Sudbury who placed my reservation and also not impressed with the costumer service agent that could not tell me nothing but try to book something else for tomorrow. I have never had issues with Uhaul before and I hope this is not their new costumer service experience. On the other hand, I did appreciate the manager's help. Thank you!

Why did it cost me $1,000 more to bring a smaller trailer back to Calgary then it did when I brought a larger trailer to Sudbury 8 weeks previous????? One hell of a rip off don't you think? Please explain if you wish to respond to this...but I doubt it!!

Made the reservation for the vehicle and after which a dishonest condition was stated upon pick up that rather then pay for an extra day if I delay in returning the vehicle I shall be charged $50 for the delay and $300 extra as someone else needed the vehicle. How sincere is this and why do you allow me rent it and after which give me such conditions? I wouldn’t be using your services again as I see this as dishonest. This is a ooor and dishonest service.

U haul has always been my companies go to for rental trucks. I rent a truck 4 or 5 times a month. I usually only need it for 2 hrs and put 40 kms maximum on the odometer. .But since the price per km was increased to . 79 cents plus the $16 for insurance , taxes and the rental itself. I have decided to look at other options. Service is always good, trucks are always in good shape. But the overall cost for a total of 10hrs per month to rent a truck is no longer feasible. Thanks for the great service.

I had two flat tires and booth times I was left for several hrs and last time was asked to come meet gentleman for fix and they had already taken van very very frustrating I would like to be reimbursed for this rental so that it is somewhat of a gesture to the issues faced

I rented a 4 x 8 trailer for 48 hours. They charged my visa $77.80 instead of $51.87. Went in to get it resolved and they told me just to just keep an eye on my visa for a few days and see if $25.93 goes back on your visa instead of fixing the problem. Real. PITA😠 that’s my money and I want it back.

this Uhaul tried to charge 1600 dollars (without authorization and claiming they were going to go to collections it)for going 1600 hundred miles in a 9 hour period. We had travelled a total of 14 miles total on the vehicle between our new and old residence. they argued with me until they realized it was simply a “typo”. The sales associate was very rude to me, had an unnecessary attitude. They also charged me for 2 dolleys, and furniture padding that were suppose to be included in the upgrade I was offered to a 15 ft truck as they said they didn't have 10fts. Which I didnt get either, still show how received a 10ft?? What did they expect we did, travelled to Winnipeg and back in a 9 hour trip? Thats 257kms/hr, i didnt know there was a UHaul bullet train but good on them for updating all of Canadas rail infrastructure to speed up peoples moves. Lesson learned, always check your accounts after using a rental because you never know if its going to set you back almost 2000 dollars due to an error in their system. Extremely disappointed with the customer service st this location and how they went about addressing this situation.

This is my second time renting at this location. I was very annoyed by the gentleman that was there no knowledge that I was present. When I pick up the trailer that I rented this time everything was fine until I got to my destination and the lights wouldn't work at all. I tried to call uhaul but no answer. I'm very disappointed on this trailer. I got the lights working again but my experience was not at all beneficial to my goals that I wanted done. Causing me time and money

SIDE MIRROR ON PASSENGER SIDE DID NOT REMAIN IN POSITION ONCE A BUMP WAS HIT. SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD !!!! :( THE TRUCK WAS CLEAN. i DID HAVE TO INSIST THAT THE OIL BE CHECKED AND WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID BE FILLED PRIOR TO MY DEPARTURE.THE ONLINE REGISTRATION WAS A NIGHTMARE !! ARRIVAL AT PICK UP LOCATION DID NOT HAVE THE DRIVERS LICENCE THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN UPLOADED DESPITE A NUMBER OF CALLS TO UHAUL HEAD OFFICE DAYS AHEAD OF PICK UP. BARRYDOWNE SITE HAD NONE OF THE INFO THAT HAD BEEN SUBMITTED DESPITE ALL THESE CALLS TO RECTIFY THE ACCOUNT.

Trailers should be looked at closer when returned!the one I was assigned to had the electrical plug ground half off was unusable! But once I showed it to staff they had no problem giving me another traillor instead !I would recommend this u haul to all and will use it again in the future.

Pick-up service was great. representative was very friendly and accomodating. Drop off was fast and efficient but representative barely spoke. A "good morning", "hello" or "can I help you" would have been nice. I initiated the conversation stating I have a trailer to drop off...her only reply was "name" which I provided then she walked outside, looked at the trailer and said "can you park it where you got it, we will email a receipt" which I have not received. A "thank you for your business" or "have a nice day" would have been nice. I do say she provided quick no nonsense service.

The associate Beatrice has a really bad habit of hanging up the phone on people like myself. It’s not professional and when I called her back to ask why she hung up she said oh I thought you were done. You didn’t give me a chance to talk. In person after making a reservation online, she took a personal call and asked if she can call them back, the person was talking and she proceeded with hanging up on them. It’s not good for business. After finishing up with Beatrice I went outside to wait for her coworker to put the trailer on. As I approached him, I saw he was trying to give away the trailer that I reserved! No one saw a problem with this other than me. He didn’t check to see if it was spoken for or anything. They all thought because it was sitting there that it’s available. It was the only one I could use for my car. I was seriously mad and he almost didn’t want to listen until I said, do you want me to call customer service and complain there?? I will right now, that is my trailer that I reserved hours ago and you cannot give it to someone else without checking first!!!! He finally cooperated and the reason he didn’t want to was because of the people he was helping were pushy but they stopped when I mentioned customer service. He did apologize but it was honestly a bad experience for me and I will never ever go back to that location. They all need to be trained properly on procedures and the rules. Not to mention being spoken to on how poor their behaviour is while they are working. Thank you for listening to me and hope to hear back from you soon.
