Aque EAlthough not the fault of the staff there I had rented it and with an 11 AM pick up. I came in at 10:45 in the morning and the vehicle has been rented out prior to someone that said they would only have it for two hours. Well, they kept me waiting on that van for four hours in the threw my hands up and said I’ll take whatever you got. They gave me a 15 foot truck at the same price that they were going to give me for the van. I was not comfortable with the choice because I don’t like driving big vehicles like that but at that point I had already wasted two hours so I took the 15 footer but on the way home to pick up the things I needed to transport a check engine light came on. I called the office and said hey there’s a check engine light. I’m not driving all the way down to Miami from Fort Lauderdale with this type of issue. What can I do? I said you could bring it back. We can exchange it for another truck or you could take your chances with it since it does have road service I opted for taking it back. I asked the manager that I spoke with to call the person that has it to see if in fact, they would be returning it since when I left at noon from there, supposedly they were coming back, he called the lady said she would be back in one hour when I got there. I still waited an additional hour and a half so my suggestion is when people are doing hourly rentals and they promise vehicle back. There has to be some type of penalty so that the person that is renting that vehicle after an inconvenience , I feel like I wasted four hours of my day. That was the only problem I had was good. The facility was excellent other than the check engine light on one vehicle every vehicle seem to be in very good shape. It’s a good.
Alberto PI had a very big problem with my original reservation. I got to the location and they did not have a 26 foot truck available so they had to reach out to another location to get me the truck and then it was not a one-way so I had to do a round-trip. Was completely inconvenienced because I had movers showing up at my house and I still ended up getting charged for the hour even though they did not do anything because they were already scheduled. I also had to pay additional gas to be able to drive the truck all the way back down to where I originally picked up the truck

debbie nI have reserved at this uhaul facility twice in the last 2 weeks. Each time I requested to pickup truck at 6am. Each time I went to pick up the truck the truck was never ready. I’d call customer service and they would reschedule me for a 9am pick up time. Then the people at the store will tell you. “I don’t see any previous order. You just placed this order this morning.” The problem with this is I hired movers to help me move for a specific time slot. Twice in the month I was delayed 3 hours because of the crew at this store. I reached out to customer service to make sure they had my reservation. Every at Uhaul has my order except for this particular location with the trucks. They offer the reservation guarantee which is a $50 credit and I am thankful for the gesture but there is no accountability from the crew at this store. There are many Uhaul facilities and other moving companies that will get your order right the first time. No I would not recommend this location. There were also roaches in the truck. I do have pictures and no they won’t help you move. It was overall a very frustrating and stressful day dealing with this particular store. I will say they are good with orders during the normal hours but any early pickups through the mobile App you might as well forget about it.

I tried calling the local store and it kept going to the national call center where they kept saying "sorry". It was quite disgusting and unacceptable. Not once was I offered a discount for the issue, and I firmly believe I should have been. I rent often.

Grant GThe truck had the lock on it with no key to it, I had to drive back and waste about 2 hours of my time, plus gas and mileage for the person that works there to tell me theres nothing he can do about it, and my dolly wasn't in the truck that they charged me for so thats a another thing I had to go back and get. This isn't the first time I have issues with that location, unfortunately they are the biggest ones around here so I am sort of stuck when it comes to using them. But if I could go somewhere else, I sure would.

Misty CActually my issue was not with the Sunrise Unit. I have scheduled a 26' truck on Davie for 8am. Arriving there they didnt have the truck. They sent me to another store which was closed and nobody was there. I had to call Uhal, and they sent me to Sunrise where I could get the truck, but 1 hour later (9am). I had people schedule for the moving and pay them starting 8:30am and could get the truck ready only 9:30h. I lost 1 hour paying the movers.

nedia tI called and made the reservation over the phone. Subsequently, I received a text with my pick-up location, initially set in Davie. However, without any prior notice, they changed the pick-up location. It was only when I arrived at the Davie location and called again that I was notified about the change. From there, I was instructed to pick up the truck at the Sunrise location. Upon arriving at Sunrise, I encountered another issue: the truck I originally reserved was not available. Fortunately, they agreed to provide me with a larger truck at no extra cost. Despite these complications, I find it incredibly frustrating that they charged me for 283 miles when the entire journey logically adds up to a much shorter distance. Let's break it down: I drove 17 miles from the rental location to my house, then another 6 miles to my second destination. Finally, upon returning the truck to the Sunrise location, which was not my original pick-up point, I faced further inconvenience. Generously factoring in some extra miles, the total distance covered amounts to approximately 46 miles. Despite the loading and unloading time, my usage only spans about 3 hours. After expressing my concerns, I received a call from them, acknowledging the error and assuring me that they have fixed the issue. They mentioned that they will refund the extra money back to me. While I appreciate their prompt response in resolving the billing discrepancy following my complaint, the initial inconveniences and the subsequent mileage miscalculation have been quite frustrating, and I would not recommend any friend or family.

Then was down graded on vehicle size and was charge for a dolly that was not inside the truck.

nancy h | First ImpressionsThe reason that I have given this Storage Facility an extremely poor rating was because of these factors: 1) During my time there, The AC did not consistently work. By this, There were some days where it was cold and adequate and then there days that my area was hotter than a microwave oven. I brought this up to management numerous times while I was there and the same problem persisted and the situation did not improve. If a client is paying for Climate control (AC) then they should get AC. 2) Unfortunately, When I brought this up to the Location Manager, Fernando Dutra, All he could tell me was that if people kept leaving the doors open, There was nothing they could do about the AC. I then asked Mr Dutra, If I am paying for an AC Climate control unit, Then I should get what I am paying for. Mr.Dutra’s response was “There is nothing we can do about the AC and If you are not happy, Then leave. We don’t need you as a customer. This is Very Bad Business acumen in dealing with customers. It is this type of management that is no good for business. I strongly believe that Mr Dutra should not be dealing with the customers. I was a client that had been there for approximately 4 years.

And then he went back to the employees and they looked like they were comforting him. Smh. Also. I left my black sunglasses in the uhaul truck. I dropped it off right before the store was closing. I came back first thing in the morning and the employee advised the truck I used was still there. I checked the truck and my glasses were gone. Someone stole those glasses. Smh.

You would bump into a minimum of 2-3 on the way to the units. Everything i removed had eggs or dead tiny bugs. It’s a shame as the place is otherwise convenient.

Therefore, I pay for storage at least six months where I could not even open the doors. The worst experience ever in storage.

Dominic R | Overall ExperienceWhen I first rented the Unit, the fron gate had been broken and left permanently open for several days, and for at least a few weeks after my first visit. Upon starting my contract, I was told that I couldn't either apply my Military discount or my own insurance because it was "too late" because she had already started the application. I would have to wait until the following month and contact customer service and ask them for assistance. About 3 months into the rental, the climate control in the unit broke and the temperature raised up to 95+ degrees. The staff on location did nothing to explain or address the issue or to offer any compensation for the lack of AC and potential damage to personal property. When I called the main customer service number to address the issue, no one offered help and was directed to the location. Calls to the location were never answered and a message from Rep the main number was never returned. All in all, this facility is crap and would never rent anything from there again.
Alejandro I | Overall ExperienceExcuse my utmost satisfaction, using my global research studies, I was just 'passing time' in my casual conversation with staff members when we agreed U- haul going international, with gradual limits/ restrictions based on trust, can ideally make poor countries build on the education fundamentals of its citizens, and give them a place to store much needed equipment to build! My experience at U-haul was 'far out'.

The 10x20i had I moved out a small door a key for door that took me over hour to get because they forgot and so ok’d no light I ask Ed they to bad will not worked is one reason the shut it down or fix it . Bad management shows I had 2 units but only wanted one . When have bad manager u get bad service . If I had a choice I move out because of her and lady she trained who really care less . With an attitude super bad, she feels miserable in her position thats why she treats clients like that, if she continues like that you guys gonna lose all your clients.

We spoke to a representative in person who guaranteed access on Sunday. When we called to see about unloading into our unit on Sunday morning they said it was still not available. This inconvenience was never communicated with me and caused serious problems as we had people lined up to help with the move on Saturday. We had to park the trailer overnight Saturday and when we tried to access our paid unit on Sunday it was still “not available”. We requested a refund and the representative advised up to 10 business days to process which I feel is unacceptable. We were so upset that we found another company to do business with for a more reasonable rate. We were very unsatisfied with our experience with the location at 4747 N Nob Hill. Side note the representative did allow us to use one of the Utility Dolly’s for the 2 days free of charge and for that we were thankful.
