Uhaul you can eat that loss

Rich Staupe | First ImpressionsThe u Haul truck I rented radio stopped working after 2 days of renting then the battery died 3x I was unable to drive the truck for a day and a half and had to pay someone to take me to work even though I was suppose to be relying on the truck. I still had to pay for that day and wait an hour each time to jump the truck. I would recommend this location because they were understanding. I am not happy with the trucks condition and the headache and money lost just so I could drive a truck I was paying for.

Due to changing closing dates on the house we had to reschedule the uhaul a couple times and Megan made the changes seem simple. Other employees left us holding tanks of propane without even questioning if we needed assistance. Megan is definitely top notch and enjoys her job.
Rita DahlI was emailed a notice to have my car at the installation location at 7:30 am and that they would call me when it is done. I showed up the afternoon before the appointment to drop off my car and was told that the emailed notice was not an appointment. Several calls and emails, AND THREE WEEKS LATER, later I finally got the hitch installed. The installer himself did a very good install and appears to be very competent, but the rest of the staff was like dealing with a bunch of incompetent, possibly lying, monkeys. If I could rate their performance below poor I would. Do Not use this location.

John HilliardI originally set up my rental at another location. Two days prior it was moved to another location which was farther away. I was told would be credited some free miles due to this change. When I picked up this rental I informed the customer rep of this and was told would adjust when truck was brought back. Brought it back and had same customers rep and again told him on this and said he would adjust and see it in my invoice. Got my invoice and saw No adjustment. Terrible customer service!!! Will share my views on numerous sites. Absolutely terrible!!!!!
Scott WollackI personally didn't pick up the shipment in Wisconsin, the Ubox was shipped to my ex from Alaska to this location. I was double charged for the shipping however the folks there in Wisconsin helped to remedy the overcharge and I had my credit the next morning. Staff was friendly and helpful on the phone. Dave

Everyone was capable and explained every detail and provided options without overwhelming me. The Superior, Wisconsin U-Haul store is filled with capable moving/storage professionals, who listened, and provided relevant information in a Kind, Friendly, Respectful, Professional manner. Know that I know the various products that can be rented, I anticipate to be a customer for life. GREAT- GREAT EXPERIENCE. From Reservation to pick up/return and everything in-between. Oh, and I used the buisness card for locating local movers KA Movers were fantastic and professional. Great experience all around.

RYAN ROWEI made reservation days in advance, would be nice if the van was parked closer to the key box / building. I used the mobile app. / after hours to check out the vehicle. One of the steps was to locate vehicle prior to retrieving the keys from the keybox. My vehicle was on the opposite side of the building / parking lot. had to walk across the lot, locate the van, walk back to the keybox to get the key, then walk across the lot to get van.
Phil Chapmanclerk said truck had 3/8 tank fuel and to return with 3/8 or id be charged $8 a gal but the truck barely had 1/4 tank, need to verify fuel level or require full tank out and on return

karl vonrabenau | Overall ExperienceWell I paid for my locker and a lock but I didn’t receive the lock that I paid for but a cheaper one and was told to come back and get the one I purchased in 3 days and I had to argue with them about getting the lock I paid for with my receipt and still didn’t get what I paid for and was also told that they wouldn’t put my locker up for auction as I had talked to Megan as I had lost my job and was paying what I could on it until I got mail stating I was really behind with my payment so I’m not sure if my small payments were even being applied to my account I have talked to the staff about this issue and seemed as if they didn’t care or had an excuse as to why my in store cash payments weren’t applied to my account needless to say my locker went up for auction and I lost my items and I don’t agree with the staff there being able to go through the lockers before it’s actioned off for slim to nothing when you can offer the owner a discount or a payment plan to pay it without it getting sold for $10 and I don’t agree you take less then what’s owed on the unit I will not be using uhaul storage or tell anyone anything good about uhaul storage sorry but not sorry

Constant battle with late fees ($15 turned into $20) and denied access with my card and double locks, lein threats, etc. Lady at the call center said they're were amenable to working with payments especially due to COVID and we would have fees waived for signing up for auto pay (never happened). When I altered the staff that I was intending on switching he was rude and condescending. He scoff that these would we difficulties with merit and simply appealed to fear stating my "stuff will get moldy" with the new storage company. Rather than being helpful or even trying to work out the payment difficulties, he said to let him know when I'm out and walked away. I feel he missed a valuable opportunity to retain me as a loyal customer with his lack of concern for customer service and poor ability to build rapport. I would suggest in the future that this facility could utilize customer service and personal sales training. I have a strong background in marketing and business and would happily provide suggestions or insight into ways that this interaction could have been made positive and ultimately secured my loyalty as a customer and even possibly created an upsale for this facility. In the future, please do not appeal to fear as the rule, it is the weakest form of persuasion. I could have been swayed to change my decision if the individual had approached the entire thing (at least pretending) to have my best interests and the interests of my belongings in mind. For example, asking me if I had sentimental photos or valuables in my locker that were not otherwise protected from the elements or insured elsewhere.

The storage security is excellent and gives me piece of mind. Each unit has an alarm and there are cameras everywhere. Indoor loading and unloading is AWESOME!!! For all this the prices are similar or less than other much less secure storage facilities.. My whole experience with staff was excellent as well. They informed me on important policies and made everything easy.

We were able to get a storage unit in one day, move all the items in on one day, and know that all the items were safe and secure. It is an impressive operation and if we ever need a storage place again we would use this one.

They also did not inform us there was a charge for the advertised 24 hour access and second code, and would not pick up the after hours phone a short while after closing. After everything, I am definitely finding a new storage unit.

My concern first came when they got me mixed up with another customer and even called me at one point to come and take my lock off because I had canceled (I had not at that time). My other concern was I apparently did not secure my lock properly and got an email informing me as such. I appreciated them alerting me to my mistake however they also told me if I did not get up there "asap" they would have to drill a new hole and charge me $50. With not be provided with an exact time frame I panicked and left work to go adjust it. I feel given some sort of time frame of one hour to 24 hours would have been sufficient and not simply"asap". Over all I would rent from U-Haul again when needed. Thank you, Lori Maine
