It was a cold morning but the reception was warm and Professuonal. HE brought the truck / and equipment right up to the Front door and thoroughly de-iced the window to make sure t was clear. He was courteous! VALET service !!

David TI must thank Mr. Jeff Palmer, the U-Haul attendant at the Trotwood Ohio location for every assistance provided me, from the upgrading of an existing storage unit to the assistance with the new locks, and to having to reserve an additional storage unit because of the need for additional storage. Mr. Palmer was most accommodating, cordial, and congenial. His manifested professionalism eliminated the many of the stresses associated with any moving experience. I had rented from Enterprise in OH and they gave me a hard time abt not having a major credit card because I had a Michigan DL (and was moving to OH where I had the reservation for 3 weeks). They got me sorted and were so nice and personable. They made an extremely-stressful situation a breeze to deal with and I got my move and my drive from OH-MI-OH within 12 hrs went great, considering. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with both of them and I cannot tell you how much better they made one of the biggest pains in the butt so much easier. Thank you thank you thank you!

MICHAEL O | Overall ExperienceThe uhaul seemed to struggle on the highway going between 20-50 mph, the truck doors had old water in them that splashed on my friend and I during that cold snap yesterday. Also we were told the wrong truck to get into and that also had water in it, more in fact... which also splashed on us. Was a bit irritating. Also the app and online website wouldnt work when I'd try to upload pictures of the water in the doors and also enter in the milage so now because of that I may get stuck paying for 50 miles when I didnt travel anywhere near that. So overall not the best experience.

Efrem TIt seems every time I visit this location there is a problem. On my most recent visit I was told there would be a 50 mile minimum deposit to rent a truck. Also this is a location rule and not a U-Haul rule. So U-Haul did not relay this information to me on the phone because they do not know about it . What? So I had to re-book my reservation on the app to avoid this fee. Another waste of time I could have avoided. Again, EVER TIME I visit this location there is an issue with information between U-Haul and this particular locations rules. I will try to rent from another location moving forward, just an in inconvenience as this is closest to my home.

Steve AFirst..as I’m waiting to get a staff the Store Manger is irritated with whosever on the call..cussing..no patience..second I would still be there (glad I’m not) if y’all had worked a little bit more with me..I’ve talk to you guys every month and explain about my heart disease and has been hospitalized multiple times..I gotta work to get money..then I was on the phone with my wife and kid and this person said they had til 8 to get the stuff out..notes I was told 48 hours meaning I had until Saturday at 145 for it to be 48..not including the hours yall close vs when I got there I could go in 24hrs. The manger likes to talk to your stupid why I don’t know..the keys I had for it was the wrong ones and asked them about getting it off and they said 50 to cut it off….huh.. I just gave yall what I had to pay to get out in 48hrs…we’ve had that unit since 2021..after 8 hrs we got the lock off..98% of the reason we got AN ONSIDE CONTROL UNIT SO MY STUFF I PAID AND WORKED HARD FOR SAFE…..MOLD. SO MUCH MOLD….inside and out..clothes in totes molded..I understand as a business swing how I am a supervisor also that it needed to be paid and I told them I have and she said..the only option I had was to pay 155 and out per her in 24hrs, then Jeff so no because of the size we had that we had 48 hrs..I did my very best not to show and I didn’t but that didn’t stop you store manager and how to treat and talk to people should be his next training. Some businesses just need to be aware people have bad health and some it gets hard for a few..almost 4 years at this property to get treated and talked to like crap..things I now have to replace because your “Controlled Units” are azz!!! You couldn’t give me two weeks to get the other half when I got paid to now I gotta spend more money then what I owed you to replace all my stuff..I’ll never NEVER use U Haul again. Period!!!

GIOVANNI PThey were difficult to get a hold of on the phone. I was supposed to get a confirmation from the store my boxes were ready for pickup. after 24 hours I went to the store, and my boxes were loaded no issue. The second day I came in and told the staff I'm ready to get my second box and was responded with lough heavy sighs from both people at the counter. The older gentleman the first day and the warehouse operator were both awesome and professional. However, I overall would not recommend this location to friends or family because of the rough neighborhood, the way the staff responded to me on the second day, and the difficulty reaching somebody in the store. Unfortunately this was the only store in the Dayton area that would take Ubox shipments, otherwise I would not use this location again. Because of this, I will probably not utilize this store for my next move.

He said “are you going to accept the charges and sign or what?” When I said I disagreed he hit the cancel button and told me to have a good day. I called corporate and left 2msgs but haven’t heard back yet. I went back and cancelled my storage as well. He also told me it was mandatory for me to buy the round lock.

I made the personnel aware of this problem. The building is an old Wal-Mart Building. My things stored will have to be replaced. Items in rubber tubs and totes, were fine

I had just road the greyhound there to get the stuff and honestly the bathrooms were nastier then greyhound and truthfully there isn’t much lower then greyhound bathrooms. Sorry but being honest.

So I will up getting 2 units instead of 1 the misunderstanding was not my fault it was there's. Then some of my money was taking out of my account didn't have a clue where it was going. Find out U-HAUL was talking money out of my account they call it auto pay. Didn't know this because when you take money from anybody account u r supposed to let them know that payment has been made from your account And Thank You for your payment. I didn't get no thank you for your payment no anything it took me 2 days to find out where my money went to. That's not how you handle business with customers at all. But I thank U-HAUL and they need to work on how they take money from accounts and let customers know they did so it wouldn't be no misunderstood That's all I'm saying

I also rented a uhaul so I can clear my storage locker, I was given a broken vehicle. If "I was not persuaded to buy the 14 dollar vehicle coverage I would have had to pay for someone else damages on the vehicle. With my own eyes I saw uhaul charge a lady two times for storage yesterday. It is not right to steal and uhaul stole, that's why I will not recommend this to anyone.

Beyond inconvenient and then they hold you accountable. I’m glad I’ll never deal with these people again!! Good riddance!!

The nearest sensor was not pointed out by staff upon the initial inspection of our unit but we figured it out later. I would have assumed motion sensors would be on each main aisle to turn on lights as you walk towards back of the facility. I am very impressed with your facility and staff and love that you have repurposed a business for Trotwood. Great job!

I am impressed by the pricing, the layout and the innovative pickup drop off convenience of the truck and easy storage options. I didn’t have any issues until I passed the office hours. Around 7:05 my boyfriend tried to ask about the 24/7 service if it applied for the return of the truck. They completely ignored him while he stood at the entrance waving at the 3 employees inside. He asked me to give a shot as he returned to help us unloading the truck inside the drop off interior area. I then went and stood waving for 5 minutes. I had the lady give me the wait signal with one finger. Another gentle looked at me and said something to the gentleman who helped me with setting up my storage (after 6pm). The gentle who helped me with my storage looked me dead in my face twice and later walked around the counter and turned his back on purpose. It’s understood that the office hours were over. But I had a very simple question. Does U-Haul 24/7 option apply to my purchase. I called customer service and held for over10 minutes just to ask a simple question. I pray I have no other issues with my belongings being in their care. All was great except for unprofessional behavior, may train employees to explain the 24/7 option when close to closing.

He even was helpful before I decided on the storage unit. He helped me carry boxes to my car. Did I mention he handled this all alone while serving each customer to the highest level. Even fixing my storage card when it wasn’t working.
Asha W | First ImpressionsIn the past, my experiences with U-Haul were positive. Unfortunately, this will be the last contract I will have with U-Haul. The customer service was the worst I have every experience ANYWHERE. The clerk was VERY disrespectful! And it appears no one is willing to do anything about it. I have filed 2 complaints and may file a 3rd one - my only hope is that management/corporate will resolve this issue quickly before losing any future consumers. U-Haul has lost a loyal customer and more may follow if this issue isn't resolved.

When we got to the storage unit we couldn't use the number to get into our unit, besides that I ask for a 10/20 unit and they gave me 10/10 unit. We had to wait 3 hours to get in touch with Jeremy which meant I had to pay extra for my movers costing me more money than I had. Just the worse experience EVER!!!!!

Kevin S | Online Move InCarts provided are too few and too small - requires many trips to unload. Only one flat cart and holds only 4 large U-Haul boxes. Would had been worse had we not brought two of our own moving dollies. Card readers not working properly - was not able to obtain working card entry after two cards were issued (and worked properly in the showroom). Access and operating hours are limited and not as published on literature.
