Jessica runs a tight ship - no doubt! She is no-nonsense and a real pleasure to work with, as odd as that sounds when you are packing the sad remnants of your apparently "pathetic little life" into a 5 X 8 and you realize that you can barely cover the floor. Well - your attitude needs to change ... you have less burdening you down than most idiots your age. Now - this isn't trolling, just look at those around you and realize that they are more interesting than you let on, or they will admit. The culture there is thick with community - just keep an eye out for it ... hard to miss once you see it. Worth the free time and probably more!

Brenna F | Overall ExperienceWhen I arrived to pick up my trailer, I asked the young man who hooked up the trailer, where the hitch coupler pin was. He stated that they didn't provide them. I was SHOCKED! Uhaul rents out trailers without all of the safety requirements for properly attaching a trailer to a hitch. The hitch coupler pin is there to keep the trailer from coming off of the hitch if it hits bumps and latch comes up. Without the pin, the trailer can bounce off of the ball and come loose. I will never use a Uhaul trailer again, and I will advise others against them as well due to their lack of safety concerns with trailer rentals. A simple $5 part could save lives, but Uhaul doesn't seem to care enough.

Rigo is professional, knowledgeable, and helped with my making an informed decision. Terry, who offered to handle my U-Haul truck rental, is professional, knowledgeable and customer focused. The storage facility and truck were clean, safe, and I was pleased at being able to use the hand trucks, within the facility, without a fee. Please take time to recognize the entire staff, especially Pike, Rigo and Terry for their Service Excellence. GOOD JOB! I have been a U-Haul customer for years & will continue to be =)

I couldn't change the contact for my storage unit online, and was informed I couldn't do it over the phone. I live across the country from my storage unit, and I cannot just walk in to change information. The location to pick up my truck was moved with little notice. I received several unsolicited requests to move equipment for U-Haul at a vastly reduced price than they would pay for commercial. Calling U-Haul was a mess every time, and I was continually routed to another person without resolving my issues. U-Haul is a pain to work with, using deceptive business practices to make more money for themselves (i.e. moving pickup locations so you have to rent a truck from them to move things). I would not recommend them and will not be using them in the future.

About 2 weeks later I received a call telling me that I need to come out a lock on my unit. I call back and inform them that I closed the unit out on Halloween evening and had nothing in there, plus I moved out of state. They informed me that there were items in there and I needed to come in to redo the process. I then asked to speak to a manager who was unable to come to the phone and was told he’d call me back. Next thing you know I get an auction email. Called again to let them know hey I signed a paper back in October and have nothing there. Was again told that they would take care of it and I needed to do nothing. Well nothing was done, now they claim I owe them for them not closing my unit out properly and allowing someone to place their belongings in my former unit.

I am very frustrated with the fact that prorated amounts are not provided, I just paid for an entire month in the 13th and we moved out yesterday. That is sad, other properties give their customers their money back not steal it.

They never physically saw me sign or set up a U-Haul account and I was harassed every month. I was called back in June or July and told my storage unit was around &900 plus and I told them they could send the unit to auction. For some reason after that they kept calling me about the unit and kept asking for a payment until it reached close to $2000. Now one I’m not paying that because as I stated I never started an account with U-Haul and it’s illegal for someone else to initiate a unit in someone else’s name and make the party responsible. Second, I told them when they called in June send it to auction and they decided to keep it open to reck up almost another $1000 on charges they are gone default for me to pay which I’m not. I will report this to the BBB and any action needed to move forward I am willing to take.

Got locked out while trying to move and had to call after hours to open so I could close unit and get my belongings. Called about having monthly canceled early since it was 3 days into new month. Next time I came since I had to rent the whole month and I figured I'd pit a few thing in the unit. they had zip tied our unit closed and marked it clean and ready to rent. Had to go to office during business hours to have them remove and fix system. over all nice place but extremely poor communication. I will highly recommend that anyone I know go somewhere else. On side note the manager on duty was very professional and understanding of my frustration.

The person who helped me first also did not show me where my unit was or remove the uhaul lock so I could open it and use my own, I had to go back down after finding the unit on my own to request the lock be removed. When I later reserved a truck and one way drop off of the truck because of how far my storage unit was from my new house, I was informed the day before pick up that I couldn't do this unless I changed my truck reservation to a later time. Everyone I interacted with was very nice but overall my experience was that every department at Uhaul is extremely disorganized, which just added to the stress of the move itself.

Probably gonna get a letter saying they want another 200-300 for not removing everything.

I vacated my storage unit on the 22nd. I asked what more do I need to do as my unit was cleared out. The staff said to leave the door up/open, and they’ll take care of it. Following the Christmas holiday I received an email notifying me of a late fee. I wasn’t pleased with this, but having called corporate and then speaking with the manager, the matter was resolved. I was set to leave another five star review; but then Sunday I received a message from my brother who was concerned about a late fee and monthly rental charge. This upset me greatly as now my Emergency contact was sent a bill. An Emergency contact is not someone who’s a co-sign to a rental agreement. It’s someone who’s to be notified if something should happen to me... injury, or death. Really?! You’ve sent my brother a bill? Any idea of what harassment is? I really should stick you with a one star rating, but unlike U-Haul sending my brother a bill, I’m a touch more considerate, understanding, and forgiving. It would be wise that a handwritten apology be sent to my brother. Is that asking too much for someone to do as an adult, and kind human being? Beware all others now when filling out that section of a rental agreement. Guard your contacts from any nuisance correspondence that will result in unnecessary drama, and stress.
