Trailer dispatched was not same as on the contract. Was told it would be updated but didn’t receive new contract.

However, lacklustre service at the desk was less than appealing. When told to go find my truck, couldn’t. Turns out it was hidden behind other trucks and the attendant had to move one so I could access mine. Not so cool the overall customer experience, but everything else was fine.

Trailer was not swept out properly, when someone is moving mattress ext .. they get dirty, I’m blaming the previous renter not the staff , all and all everything went well even tho of the inconvenience of picking up at a different location at short notice but got a great rebate, I will always use U-Haul when I need to move anything, gold stars ⭐️ all , thank you !!

Arrived for pickup, payment had to be made right away, in the past we would pay at time of delivery. Received extra days that we did not use but had to pay for. Original truck had a check engine light on, received a different truck and that was taken back because someone else was coming for it. Received a third truck that was fine. I would suggest not doing the minimum amount of days for renting a truck as I think it's just a way for U-Haul to make money.

I can’t think of anything that could be improved on for my hitch installation. They were fast, and the install looks clean. I haven’t towed anything yet but plan to in the next couple of days. I’m hoping to try towing a small pop-up camper to see how the car reacts.

They need to improve picking up locations for one way moving. It is one of the most stressful in people’s life (moving) and having to pick up a moving truck 60 kilometre away adds up the cost of gas and stress.

Truck that was provided needs immediate attention. Took it on the highway and had to get off as the front end was bouncing and shaking. Fortunately I did not have to go very far, I believe approximately 20 - 25 miles. Please have this taken care of immediately.

I rented a pickup truck on Feb 17th and I stupidly filled the gas tank ($100 worth) and i only needed to bring it back 1/4 full and it was actually less than that when I returned it. In my defense, I'm a senior and certainly unaware of how much gas a truck would use. When I returned the truck, I was told I could get a refund for the excess gas up to $50 so I thought that was fair. then I was told I had to contact the GM of the location (Michelle) whom I tried to contact for 2 weeks to discuss the situation and I was never able to catch up to her...she was not in or out on lunch, etc. Not sure why if a refund up to $50 is available that the staff I was able to discuss this with are unable to do that refund!

I was assigned a 20FT van as requested, but I received it with a leaking rear driver's side tire that visibly got lower by the time we loaded to leave the next morning. They knew it was leaking because they topped it up as I picked it up. I also had a low fuel warning light as soon as I pulled out of the lot. Moving is stressful enough, than adding a leaking tire on top, not great. When I received the truck it was reasonably clean, except for some muddy foot prints on the driver's side. I dropped the van off to our final destination point, now I find out my credit card was charged $40 for a cleaning charge. Not very customer friendly that's for sure. I hate complaining, usually turn the other cheek, not this time sorry

Box trailer was filthy with mud and oil. I was moving mattresses and a clean truck would have been nice or at least offer cardboard to lay on the floor of the trailer. Also all sizes of the trailers available would be appreciated on the website, as the size I needed was never shown. Luckily your location carried a few and not far from the original pick up location that I originally ordered from.

Unfortunately, had to push hard for extra effort to obtain missing part when informed just 2 hours before scheduled installation appointment. The UHAUL staff did find the part nearby - Mississauga UHAUL branch - and installation completed in 5 hours - a bit too long when originally advised some 3+ hours.

The lady at the desk was very unfriendly. Told me she couldn't help me and I needed to call someone else. I was taken back. After numerous attempts trying to get thru to the lines a gentleman was kind enough to help and all was resolved at 3:45 this afternoon.

There two staff working. A man and a woman. The woman (who told me on the phone that I had to be there 30 min before office hours ended) handled my paperwork and it look less than five min. After telling her that I’ve never rented a storage unit before, she told me what my passcode was and sent me on my way. Told me there was an elevator right as you walk in and that I was easy to find. I then tried to access the facility with my passcode with no success. After multiple failed attempts, I went back in and asked for help. The man came to help and he explained that I needed to put my passcode in two different things in a specific order, before I could enter. Then I entered the facility and walked around for a while looking for an elevator and couldn’t find it. I checked the map, and the elevator seemed to be in a different part of the building and on the opposite end. We then had to ask the man for help again and he was patient with us as he told us that we needed to drive the Uhaul truck around the building to the other side to access this area and my unit. In conclusion, the man was very helpful after the woman did very little to explain anything to me. It was a long day moving and at least half the staff was willing to help.

The only problem I had was the app’s offer of a rent free month if you rent a truck wasn’t being honoured. At the location they said they’ve had that problem before. U Haul corporate should fix that issue. Either don’t offer it, or honour it. Otherwise it could be regarded as false advertisement

Public toilet was messy and no toilet paper all day, I was there at 10 am on Dec 2, 2023 until 10pm and the whole day the waSHROOM WAS NOT CHECKED, I INFORMED THE FRONT DESK WHEN I LEFT.

I ended up returning the truck one day earlier and I was told that this would give me a corresponding discount. I did not see that on my VISA bill. You owe me there too. Honestly, this whole experience was quite disappointing. Clearly, what your staff promises is not followed up by actions: not in the reservation pick-up location, not in the trouble-shooting, not in the discount for my trouble, and not in the reimbursement for early an return. Feel free to contact me to make it up, somehow. Meanwhile, consider me unimpressed.

the online check in does not work. it was asking for location and i was in the right place but it kept telling me i was at the wrong location. luckily i am a critical thinker and realized it was a glitch in software. others would be thoroughly confused by this i’m sure.

Staff member was utterly useless. More interested in her phone than helping me. After I rented my unit she just handed me a map and didn't even circle the location. She should have also directed me to the location. Didn't care. She also should have gone over the sign in and signed out instructions as well. I ended up setting off the alarm. On a positive note the storage facility was clean, well lit and I was impressed with the check in/check out feature once I figured that out.

The staff was very pleasent and professional as well they provided a better alternative with the truck rental since I have a time sensitive matter that needed a truck asap and at first I reserve a 10" truck but it was only available for 12 hours which they suggest to get a 15" truck which was available and could have the 24 hours rental time which was great for me as well it had the built in ramp too so made moving my stuff much easier and didn't have to rush bc had the extra time. As well I was able to get the one month of free storage since I rented the truck so very happy about that and would highly recommend Uhaul!!

I was in a desperate situation; after driving 20 hrs, I finally arrived the U-Haul location in Oakville, there were 3 guys and they all said that nobody is going to unload my car from the trailer. A person loaded my car to trailer in Alabama without any hesitate. Also, It was a big frustration for me that, on top of all the tiredness, no one tried to help and acted indifferently, as if they were trying to get rid of it. You guys have to change your attitude!

The after hours to access storage is very difficult. The front counter guy gave us instructions on how to enter after hours but was unsuccessfully and a waste of our time and gas. Also, getting a hold of someone at this location is unheard of. It is done thru a call centre (remotely). Leaving a message to Call Centre to get this location to return my phone call was unsuccessfully as well. Newly renovated storage facility at this location was very clean and secured.

Original person I dealt with was very helpful and knowledgeable. The day I went in to arrange the unit the person in the rental office was not overly familiar with the storage rental process. The process ended up taking an hour which included several phone calls to a supervisor. Actual sign in and out procedures for unit were not fully explained - was not told that we needed to sign out on the keypad after leaving. Got it done in the end. Unit is perfect. Just recommend that experienced staff should be available. Felt quite sorry for the gentleman in line behind me as no one else was available to help him.

Lack of experience from staff regarding accounts and payments. I was paying for storage unit and ubox at the same time! for many months! The only issue I had was that I had reserved a 10x10 unit, which was not available on the day I arrived to unload the truck, I was given 2 smaller units and then a month later had to move everything into a 10x10 unit. I did receive help from your staff and was compensated for 1 month of payment.

Check in was excellent, but lack of communication and follow up when canceling storage unit was beyond poor. I still have yet to recieve any type of confirmation email that is been canceled. They verified my email and it is correct. Several emails went unresponded to and after over a week of radio silence, I had to call them to get the cancellation processed before they charged my card.

I have had issues with this facility from the time I moved in up until September 30th, when a woman named, Elizabeth resolved it. Only took 12 agents to get this sorted. Won't recommend this storage to anyone. Thanks.

I made an online reservation for a 5x5 storage space at 79.95 CAD . when I arrived there, the staff told me that it's on second floor and I asked to see elevator and troy are available or not and he said, yes. Therefore I confirmed that it's okay for me . he said that also one space available at ground floor and changed my reservation to that. till now everything is okay but at the end I found that the rent of this pace is higher than second floor and he didn't mention anything about it. I know that it's just $5 and not a big money but exactly I chosen that warehouse and location based on the price. anyway, I realized this price different after I already dropped my items at the storage space and I was lazy to ask them to change my contract again to second floor and I move again all items to second floor.

It was very inconvenient, it was my first time and I had a difficult time since the first storage that was given to me was very small and we were stranded there for a good 45mins. Since it was 4mins past office hrs with no one answering the service line. At one point we called the # and someone hung up. Finally Michelle gave us another unit, she was pretty helpful but the night experience was horrible.

facility was very clean driveway parking lot ramp steps clear of snow and ice ( Oakville had a lot of snow and weather causing icy conditions this year compared to other years) parking available close to the entrance staff on site could be easily accessed by phone if I had any questions re site access billing etc

The only issue with the facility is the entry. It is hard to access the entry with vehicles parked in the entrance. Also the walkway is bumpy and small making it difficult to use a cart of any kind.

We tried to access the unit between 5 to 6 PM and the office was shut because it was a Sunday. But the door would not accept the code and I called 1800 number which didn’t help at all. They said the manager at the site needs to be talked to. I had to cancel my plans and then come back the next day sacrificing my sleep and spend 4 hours to pickup and transport the items in my unit and then go for a 10 hour night shift at work. When i raised the issue with the employee and the manager they said they will have to talk to IT to look at the door issue. Not even an apology.

The people were polite. The girl who showed me my room realized it wasn’t clean already so immediately mopped it. But the service experience as a whole was absolutely horrible. We reserved the space and truck. Called to confirm everything was good the day before. Was thanked for confirming. Then. Arrived to be good our space was rented out. Apparently the reservation means absolutely nothing!! It as very upsetting. I had to move my mother in that one day and had done all the work to prepare only to be told that reserved means nothing to anyone at uhaul. The girl apologized that this is the policy. Offered to call another location. But we picked that location for a reason. It was very stressful for my senior mom. We ended up in a much more expensive space just to spent through everything. I’ll not recommend uhaul for reliable service/policy. Still angry over the whole thing!

Rented me 2 Trucks low on fuel. Had to fuel up midway through a move with a truck full of belongings, no truck availability, also rented me another cargo van with a flat tire, had I not noticed I could have been in serious danger on the highway driving. Do better. Hoping to receive some sort of discount. Manager Michelle was friendly but she needs to have her people keep an eye on the trucks wayyyyy more.
