kumar camille | First ImpressionsMy family and I relocated to Grand Junction, CO due to my employment. Due to the nationwide shortage of trucks we were unable to secure a one-way rental from Arizona. So, I was able to price compare the one-way and in-town rental. Anyways, at the initial Uhaul facility where we rented the truck, John Yoder greeted us, but Antonio assisted us with our 26ft Uhaul rental. There wasn’t a padlock in the back, and though it delayed us slightly, he took the time to install and secure a padlock and chain to the back door for us. On our return trip back, we were caught in a snow storm near the Four Corners. I called Uhaul and spoke with Victoria. She added an additional day. We originally had a 10x10 unit reserved, but realized that it would be too small. She informed me that was their largest unit and I should check at another nearby storage facility. So I went online to Uhaul and cancelled that reservation, and reserved a 10x20 at another Uhaul facility near Warrior Way. Well, the next day we continued our travels, unfortunately we hit additional inclement weather and we were stuck in a mountain pass after Hole N” the Rock for a few hours which additionally delayed our travel plans. Long story short, by the time we arrived, the Uhaul facility’s were closed. So, I had to change our reservation for the storage date to the next day. At that facility when we arrived, I was informed there were no 10x20 storage units available. I was slightly irritated, but kept my cool and inquired why I would be allowed to reserve a unit online, if it wasn’t available. I was provided an explanation that I didn’t fully understand. Regardless, they took the time to make it right and were able to clean a different unit while we waited, provided us a free lock, and one month’s free. Though this delayed our truck return (again), I called and spoke with John. He provided us additional time and having to be rerouted due to the weather, he did not charge us the additional mileage. We just paid the difference of the additional day rental. It’ll definitely be a moving trip my husband and I won’t forget. The professionalism, kindness, and support from John and Antonio were above as beyond. Some delays here and there, but even over at the storage Uhaul facility, they were kind and understanding. They worked with us, addressed my concerns, and made time to clean the storage unit for us. I unfortunately cannot remember the three associate names; but, thank you very much. Thank you, all! :)

I show up and apparently the lady gave me the wrong confirmation papers and only actually saved my stuff as a quote. Luckily I was able to get a truck the morning I needed it. We loaded the truck up and took it to go to the storage unit where the guy tells me that I do not have a unit and he doesn’t have anything bigger than a 10x10 in the valley. So now I’m screwed. I drive the box truck all the way home (20+ miles) just for him to call and say that he has multiple units of the size I needed available and he just wasn’t seeing them on his computer. I had 6 people lined out to help me unload the truck and it is now too late to do that as I cancelled everybody coming and drove the truck (that they charge mileage for) over 20 miles home. Terrible customer service and experience from everybody except Jake the assistant manager at the north avenue store.

The staff is great for the most part bit if you have your debit card compromised and forget this is on it there is no grace with late fees.

I did go back to clean it out myself and was locked out again. I had to call 8 times before I was able to go clean it.

The rent had already auto drawed, but was told it was during short grace period at beginning of every month, I did not expect it, but was given a refund of the storage unit for that month. It was greatly appreciated since I mistakenly forgot my lock key and had to call locksmith. Made my move from storage to new home just that much smoother. Thank you E 1/2 St U Haul.

Very unprofessional, making accusations against us and using profane language. Lonny also made demands out of the scope of the signed contract and in addition violated state mandate requiring the wearing of a mask when not distancing. I was forced to immediately contact legal counsel for direction on the best way to handle Lonny's conduct. For this reason, I will no longer use storage services at this location.

So we went across the street to friendly budget to get a truck for my daughter to move. Lonny has very poor management skills and not a person you want to give business to
van nilsson | Overall ExperienceIf you rent here you can expect the following as a customer: if you ever pay late, it is a personal slight against Lonny Bloss, the manager, and you will be treated accordingly: 1. You will have unprofessional, poorly trained staff calling you and not even saying hello before they demand payment. If you tell them they are being rude to you, they hang up. If you go a step further and let the manager know, he will tell you the problem is YOU and hang up as well. 2. The access is NOT 24 hours as advertised as a padlock is sometimes put on the arm of the gate. There is no rhyme or reason for why the padlock is on there and if you get upset because you are trying to leave town early in the morning to go somewhere and you cannot get the animal carrier so you can get your animal to the vet, you're the jerk for needing 24 hour access to your unit. Also. If you had holiday plans but you needed into storage to get supplies, not happening either. We missed half a day of recreation with our family waiting for someone to remove a lock days after payment which leads me to the next expectation... 3. If you ever pay late, for any reason, it is a taken as a personal slight against the manager and the store itself. It doesn't matter that the late fee adds to their revenue, even if you always pay it and never complain or argue about it! You will not get the lock off your unit without calling and making them do it even if you paid a week ago. There is a perverse pleasure taken in inconveniencing you because you had the nerve to have your check fall on a different day than they assign you. And if you call and ask how many days it will take for the lock to come off, Lonny will ask you how many days late your payment was implying you are not only paying a late fee as punishment, you're also going to be shamed for being late. Finally. I would tell you there are dozens of other storage facilities in town. If I were you, I would pick one that has some level of customer service and this place isn't it! We have been issued credits by corporate as a way of apology but nothing changes until the wallet hurts! Renters beware.

But the price for the 10 x 20 is $50.00 higher than all of the other comparable storage places in the area. That's why I moved out. I didn't want to pay $150 every month for storage.
