I have rented from this location over 10 times. It is the most convenient location for me but every single time the people that work outside with the trucks are so RUDE. I almost walked out and cancelled my rental agreement. This man is in his 50's+ and is hispanic. He literally asked me how long I had been driving. This is consistent behavior from the staff outside only. The counter guys have always been great. Hire nice people to work outside. This is a terrible experience time after time.

Chris BReturn process was not smooth or easy to understand despite the outside attendant seeing me (multiple times) and only saying “leave the keys in the seat”. Only found out that I could do it online after messing around with my email/website. Location was busy and needs more staff.

Philip WThe trailer I rented was FILTHY! It had animal waste and feed still in it from the previous renter, and a horrendous odor. The outsidefront of the trailer was covered with engine oil spray- previous renter obviously had a bad leak. The assistant didn't speak english, seemed extremely frustrated with his job like he didn't want to be there, and was very rude as a result. He directed me a to a battery-powered hand held blower, pointed to it, and said "use blower!" , so I blew out the debris myself- disgusting lack of service. The guy needs to go and the manager too for allowing such a miserable customer experience- worst U-Haul place I've ever been to. I felt stuck, since there were no other trailer options of my requested size(s) on the premises for one way rental.
Michael HAfter renting the auto transport one of the tow straps was severely ripped making it dangerous to tow my vehicle. It was hanging on by one last string of strap. I brought the trailer back and showed staff but they didn’t seem to worry about it. I hope this is removed from the fleet until fixed. High liability

NEAL WWe did not get a hitch installed. The employee took the car apart and then realized it was not going to work. Told my son to go get parts he needed from a hardware store. We then found out that the hitch they ordered was not sufficient to support the weight of the rack we were going to use to hitch for. I ended up having to pay for labor for them to put the car back to how it was when it was brought in....no hitch.

I went and put gas in myself and returned it with 1/4 tank. I never got a full credit for the missing gas when I picked it up. Other than that everything was great. The moving crew was outstanding! They would definitely recommend again

Joan BDon't charge for more gas than was needed. Miles =30 I added 3 gal of gas and dropped off truck. They than added another 3 gal of gas. The needle was pretty close to where it was initially, when I dropped it off.

Charlie BAll the staff at the store was friendly and helpful with one glaring exception: the employee working outside in the lot was rude and unfriendly, not only to us but to other customers we observed. It was like he had a chip on his shoulder and hated his job. Made for a very bed impression upon first entering the yard.

Luis HThe inside of the truck was dirty. The lot attendant screamed at me and went on a tirade when I wasn't understanding his broken English. I had to use the app to take care of my check in instead of someone doing a walk through with me then made to feel stupid when I had an issue and had to ask for help. I was charged for blankets I didn't use but wasn't told that I would be before I rented them. When I wanted to do a walk through of the van before I left I was again yelled at by a lot attendant who didn't want to stop picking up trash to help me. The manager told me that there were 3 lot attendants and I would just have to wait for someone to come help me if I didn't want to leave my key in the door and leave before making sure everything was ok. Do people really just leave the key in the door and not make sure they won't be charged for something without verifying before they leave?? That place was the worst and I will never go back there again!
Thuy WThe website rental checkout was frustrating. My verification process kept restarting for no reason and I eventually had to request a member to check me out. It set me back 30 minutes. Also the gas gauge was definitely a tick below what it was marked, but not low enough for me to justify changing the gauge on my checkout list. But when I went to refill the tank this was definitely noticeable. I think it’s criminal to have the tank 1/4 full. It’s impossible to know how much to put in the tank to refill it to the right level. And then I got charged $30(!!!) after I already put $15 in. That’s absurd

Robert TFor this experience, I would have expected a discount. The staff is excellent. But, we were called back 3 times and drove three times for the system to be shut down.
Michelle BRunning light was falling off the right side out of its mounting and the trailer lights did not work until the gentleman with a rat tail and greying goatee reluctantly came and fixed it, all the while blaming the truck as walking up to the trailer. It wasn't the truck, the mechanic standing next to him said later. The gentleman with the rat tail was unbelievably unprofessional. Gentleman who helped check us in was great though, had to flip the ball to the other side of the hitch and he facilitated it. The gentleman with the rat tail very rudely told me he wouldn't swap it back when we returned the trailer. There is always an issue at this Uhaul, last time they couldn't fill a brand new propane tank even though they were advertising the services. Ill use a different location next time.

CURTIS J | First ImpressionsVery poor customer service. Truck’s fuel indicator was not working but it was not communicated while renting the truck. Prior to return, while refueling, as the indicator was not working, I ended up fueling way more than needed (~$50). I mentioned that to the representative while returning and he said this was communicated prior which it wasn’t and they can’t do anything now. When I asked to speak to the manager, they said he is not here and come back on Monday. The staff asked me to leave and behaved very unfriendly. Not recommended at all!

Brian LHonestly the ONLY thing that could be improved is the price. While not outrageous, it is a Lot. James the serviceman was great. Very respectful, helpful, and efficient. Will be happy to return back here for any of my other towing/hitch needs.

Overly reliant to have the customer do the work themselves on an app. The person on phone call was professional and pleasant the guys in the in-person store were less so.

Michael RThe attendant in the lot was incredibly rude, refused to give us keys after we checked our equipment in on the mobile app, yelled at us about someone else’s car being parked where it wasn’t meant to be, and kept yelling at us to take out/move equipment that we did not rent because he was too lazy to. We told him it was not our responsibility and we did not want to touch equipment that the previous customers left (dollys) and he kept saying that if we want the keys we need to take it out because he wasn’t doing it for us. The guys inside were kind and efficient, but I have never had such a terrible experience somewhere.
Braydon RRented a motorcycle trailer and the tongue of the trailer was worn out and the tire had way to much tire pressure. trailer wouldn't stay planted to the road. Even when going under 5mph. Trailer ate up my brand new tow hitch that I purched with trailer rental. front desk wouldn't replace or return the tow hitch. Trailer with plate starting with GGG needs to be taken out of service.
Scott KThere was mud and dirt in the truck and it t wasn’t clean. I can send pictures. Didn’t pay attention at the time but then it ended up staining the back of a rug. Other than that, experience was good. Stephen was very helpful.
Adam ILocation had a single check-in person even when the line had 10 people waiting. Waited in line for 30 minutes, and then was told my 4-hours had already started and that I had to have the van back in 3 hours. Van smelled like cigarette smoke. Was disgusting.

Thomas MThere was only one employee at desk. Wait to pick up was long as a result. Customer parking instructions should be easier to understand. Add signs along green curb. Finding out you parked in wrong place after you've parked adds to stress of moving and amount if ti.e to check in. Returning vehicle was easy and fast though. Thanks for that!
Julie TFront desk staff during this morning (Friday) were excellent and very helpful. One suggestion would be: State somewhere before finalizing a booking that if you have a provisional license you cannot be the driver. I wasn't aware of this until the staff notified me before pickup. Thankfully my dad was able to drive, so it all worked out.

Marilyn AClear instructions, I filled the truck to the level it was to begin with. I should have taken a photo of the gas gage when rented, before refilling, and after refilling so, they couldn't charge me for more gas saying I didn't refill the truck. Also they need it posted that they do not recycle cardboard boxes/have a used box program. They charged me $25.00 for the flattened used uhaul boxes left in the truck. The last time I rented a uhaul truck, I wasn't charged a cleaning fee because of leaving the flattened used in good condition boxes

Joseph EFloor was dirty, but not terribly so. My biggest gripe is with the automation that didn't work for after hours return. Location couldn't be found and barcode wouldn't scan, then couldn't add the picture of dash for mileage and fuel levels, had to just lock truck and put keys in drop, was all that worked. We'll see if this review even goes through...
Niles RThere was only 2 people working and a lot of people in line. The workers were overloaded. They need more staff at this location. They did a fine job considering how overwhelmed they were.

Traian GUnderstaffed, very long wait and no where to park. Entire lot was jammed with returned trucks they had no employees to move. Horrible experience and I will never use that location again, will rent from someone else if I have to.

The average wait time for help is no less than 10 minutes, that’s just for an employee to recognize you’re standing in line… It’s apparent they are very understaffed and most employees have minimal to no customer service experience. Only reason I choose to rent at that location is due to proximity.

On numerous occasions over the past few years there have been some select employees outside that have almost downright started physical confrontations, after yelling at both my wife and me - treating us as if we are idiots and we're doing something wrong by accessing our roll-up storage unit. Your team may struggle with issues with other tenants, But that does not mean you need to take out your aggression on every other good, well-paying tenant, who use storage services that they pay for as intended. How your fleet management interferes with access to the storage is unacceptable, and not a reason to bark orders at people trying to go about their day. The staff inside at the counter are always reasonably pleasant, and are at a complete opposite to the staff outside running around yelling at people. We have avoided going to the storage unit for months at a time specifically because we dread interaction with this outside staff. Also, shuffling rental vehicles in the storage area might be necessary for THIS location, however there are a lot of other locations without this fleet congestion. Many other companies that offer storage only. Demanding that a tenant move their vehicle while they are actively accessing their storage unit is unacceptable. Especially when fleet vehicles are blocking the roadway and many roll-up units - get the keys and move vehicles yourself! It's not the responsibility of the paying storage customer to help do do the job of a disorganized rental fleet. I have made several complaints to the interior staff, one of whom I believe was a manager. No changes were made for at least a year following. I sincerely hope that changes have been made since then, But this is absolutely an unacceptable way to conduct business.
Christopher B | Overall ExperienceWe rented a truck to move to Beaverton, and the package included a month's free storage. We were assigned one unit, but when we got to Beaverton, they gave us a different unit. Then we were billed for the month that was supposed to be free. When we brought this to the manager's attention, we received a refund for that month. As for lighting, there does not appear to be any light inside the unit, and it is a bit difficult to read labels on boxes stacked at the back of the unit. Staff were not always friendly, and made promises they didn't keep (we'll help you with that... sorry, too busy).

Have you standing there while they carry on conversations about what they doing? Plenty of times I went to put things in my storage couldn’t get into it had to walk back-and-forth to the office. Was there a one hour and 30 minutes I couldn’t get into my storage they need new people that know how to deal with customer service I had one storages one for eight years. 2020. I got another storage and kept that for three years. I just couldn’t take the rudeness no more and disrespect. I rent a truck from them several times to move the Philadelphia to move to Florida to move to Augusta to move to San Antonio. Also, I use the U Pack

When they did leave, they left most of their things behind—we packed 7 seventeen foot truck loads of stuff to take to 2 large storage units until it could be sorted and sent to Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill and the rest to the dump. Without Uhaul, I don’t know how it could have been coordinated and for a reasonable price. Thank you Uhaul!
Arlinda D | Overall ExperiencePrice is a bit high. There is no light in the storage unit. (Our previous unit with another company in California had a light in it.) Also, I had a unit reserved with my truck rental, but when my wife went in, they gave her a different unit and seemed unaware of the reservation I made online. Another thing, my wife and I both got keys to the unit, but they only gave us one access card to get into the area where the storage units are.

He interrupted and was dismissive of my unusual situation and problems. David outside was just the opposite. David was kind, a good listener, smart, and solved my problems. Brad on the inside was also excellent. However, Jose’s rudeness and uncaring behavior is a showstopper particularly after driving almost 1,000 miles in a uhaul truck with mechanical issues. While I was inside doing the paperwork for my storage room with Brad, another gentleman came in and insulted the manager about staffing. The Experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. I’ve been using Uhaul for over 50 years and this is the first time I’ve had a vehicle with mechanical problems or a problem with rude people.thanks

Stephen V | Overall ExperienceI wasn’t even able to access my unit yesterday because the hours that were on literally everything said they were 5 am - 10 pm. We got there to find out that no, that’s not when they close and that it’s actually 7am-7pm M-F 9am-5pm Sunday The only indication of those hours were in the office hours but every piece of communication I received while booking said that office hours and self storage hours were different. The employees including the manager basically told us that that’s the way things have been for over a year and shrugged us off. I don’t understand how that can be the way the business has been operations for over a year but none of the online communications have been updated to reflect this. This is ridiculous and complete unacceptable. I will be making sure that we don’t need this unit more than one month so that you never get another penny out me for the way I’ve been treated.

CHRISTOPHER F | Overall ExperienceStorage units were listed as 5x5, they do not meet these dimensions and I was unable to store the small amount of stuff I needed to. When this was brought up with the employees no one knew what they could do assist and make the situation better. I went in and complained about unit size being wrong and they were surprised I measured (unit exact usable space was 4'x4'6" barely large enough to put my storage rack in and not at all big enough for the totes I needed to store). All around the facilities are okay, the door latches and doors are weak wooden doors (for interior units) and never felt fully secure. Employees wouldn't even give me a single free box to attempt to make the situation better. Moved out of my unit within a week and had to pay to get an entirely new unit elsewhere as the access hours are minimal, and the staff is very unknowledgeable about how the business runs.

michelle m | Overall ExperienceStaff changed my access code for zero reason. That's customer abuse. I refuse to wait in line for an hour without getting reimbursed for my time. The manager doesn't care about filling the soap in the bathroom in the back of the storage lot, even during the plandemic. Too cheap to provide soap for us. Doesn't even empty the garbage bins in the bathroom. There's nails all over the road, I have to repair my tire once every couple of months because of this. The hours are awful, this is not what I signed up for and not what I paid for. I only get about an hour after work to access my stuff now. And the host spigots are now off limits, even though I was told years ago that was part of what I was paying for. U-Haul just keeps making it worse and worse for their customers.
Elliot T | First ImpressionsU Haul of Beaverton is very helpful. Mostly positive experience. The facility is not the cleanest of facilities I have visited at U Haul, and the access to storage units is limited to 7pm and 5pm on Sundays. Wish it had more hours to access my unit.

The maintenance staff had blown dirt and dust into my unit and coated all of my belongings with filth. I now have to manually clean all of my belongings before moving them into my new house. When I brought this up with the management, they were dismissive (even though it was their fault) and told me to file a claim with the insurance company. I will do this because it appears to be the only way for it to be made right. Overall an abysmal experience and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I have tried to resolve this prior to writing this feedback. The assistant manager had told me I would get a call from the manager within 3 business days and I still have not received a call.
ALLEN N | Overall ExperienceFirst, thanks for having storage. I don't mean to knock on people. But I'm being asked how it went, so here's the answer... It took me over an hour to get my storage unit. First I had a lengthy wait in line. Staff were clearly very stressed and overworked. When I got checked in, the person at the counter did not seem to know much about the storage units. I was asked to fill out a form that could have been done much faster and more reliably online. I was assigned a storage unit and sold a disc lock. It took about 10 minutes to get my access code to work. When I got to my unit, it had a padlock on it, so I had to run back to the clerk and get it taken off. Then I found that my padlock did not fit into the hasp, which was different from most of the other units that DID have disc locks. I again had to go back inside, stand in line for another 10-15 minutes, and wait to be seen by someone again. This meant reassigning me to a different storage unit, since the one I was in had an older style of hasp that couldn't accept a disc lock. It was a good thing I went back in too, because apparently the first guy didn't take a picture of the form with my license, so we had to get out the paperwork and ID again. And he didn't ring me up for the disc lock, so we had to redo that whole transaction. Extensive signage around the facility says to ask about extended access. I asked. The guy I was talking to didn't know, so he asked another dude who started laughing and said we won't be seeing extended access again anytime soon with all the theft taking place around here. I was frustrated, because currently access hours are restricted to 7am to 7pm. I understand business is very challenging, staffing is hard right now and crime really is an issue especially being so close to a MAX station, so I don't want to sound like I'm beating up on people here. I'm glad to have a storage place. But those are the issues I ran into. The whole thing could have been done more efficiently, saving everyone a lot of time. Also, the signage referring to 24 hour access should be changed, removed or covered -- I did not discover extended access had been completely revoked until I was well into the process.

One employee in particular had a very bad attitude and was yelling at me and giving me dirty looks even days after. He always seems to be working out in the yard and was wearing a hat mustache and has darker skin. I reserved the outdoor biggest space specifically and received a confirmation that my reservation was made. When I arrive to my storage reservation with a fully packed 16 foot moving truck, I was informed that they only had the smallest unit available and that there was nothing I can’t do. I spent $3,000 with Uhaul and I had to find other means to store half the remains of my belongings elsewhere. Thumbs down, the most terrible experience I have ever had as a customer at any business. I asked to speak with the general manager a few different days and no response. Suited.

These drive through areas dip in the middle to allow rainwater to go down the several drains. The staff blows from the lower center of the the drive through areas only thus blowing all the dust dirt and grit up to the entrances of the outside storage areas! I was always sweeping the dirt away from my storage entrance back down to the low center of the drain areas. Also the dirt and dust got under the entrance door that rolls up....carrying dirt and grit with it! I had to sweep the door off at the bottom and just inside the door ...esp. the sides where the dirt came in. Otherwise it was a great place, great staff and clean bathrooms!

I wouldn't have been blocking the drive through lane if the uhaul vehicles were not parked everywhere. My storage unit is a drive up unit I should have been able to unload where I was. And the moment I realized he was honking at me I moved and apologized immediately his rude, unfriendly and unprofessional behavior I will not be recommending this facility to anyone.

Ahead of our out-of-state move, we made a reservation at this location for two large storage units. We received email notification that those units had been reserved for us. However, when we arrived at this location to sign documents and unload our two enormous moving trucks - with a moving crew we were paying for - we were met with a rude awakening. The guy at the counter was overly chatty and slow as molasses. It took him half an hour to get to the part where he let us know they only had one large unit available for us, despite our reservation for two. We were dumbfounded. Instead of finding a reasonable solution, the counter person told us that making a reservation online doesn’t actually mean they have anything available. Not an acceptable answer when we’ve traveled multiple states and have been counting on the product we reserved with the confirmation we’d received. When a manager was finally brought over to review the situation he confirmed that they did not have the two units we reserved, only one. Furthermore, he adjusted our price to remove, yes REMOVE, promotional discounts that we had received online. When asked if they could make a deal for multiple smaller units to make up for the lack of unit that was reserved, we were told that was not possible. We would have to pay full price for each and every unit, with no promotions provided. This all happened while the manager and employee knew I was on the phone with their competitor, who is literally a mile and a half straight down the same road, to check on availability of the same sized units we had reserved through U-Haul. Rather than make any effort to keep our business or pretend they cared about our time, money or the predicament we’d been put in, they nonchalantly as if we “just want to cancel.” This location did not deliver on any level of professionalism. Moreover, this whole process wasted our time and money with the moving crew we’d employed, who stood idle while the U-Haul team pecked at the computer keys and stared blankly at the screen and whom we had to pay for the wasted time at U-Haul and the drive to the new location. Terrible experience.

There is a very rude employee that drives at very fast speeds through there with large uhaul trucks and honks at anyone parked there even though there are no parking spots he expects you to get out of his way. Hes going to run someone over! He was alsorude to me in the store parking lot in front and forced me to park at a private business across the street that clearly has signs that say "No parking violators will be towed". I also waited in line in the store for about an hour just to check in only to have the guy that was helping me start helping someone else before he handed me the keys. He then told me to wait. I waited for him to finish. Meanwhile the everyone else that was behind me in line was helped by the next available employee. Then they promised to waive a day off the truck rental for breakdown but didn't and did not put any notes so customer service is refusing to adjust the bill stating that there isn't any notes. How is that my fault? On top of all this the truck was not ready and we spent an hour and half on hold trying to locate one then had to drive another hour and half to go pick it up. They were supposed to call the day before to let us know all this but they didn't. I will never use uhaul again.

I then called U-Haul's customer service line and they said that they were going to have somebody be submitting my move out request and have it be processed. Then finally on May 14th someone called me and noticed my padlock was gone and my door was open on my storage unit and wanted to know if I had done that intentionally. I said yes I've been wanting to move out of this unit for over a month. Thankfully at that point Sherry was great and has processed my move out.

The Hispanic gentleman then got upset and threw all of my paperwork in the trash. I had to dig thru the trash to recover my rental contract and the location/number of my storage unit. The behavior of the Hispanic gentleman ruined an otherwise very positive rental experience. I've never before been treated with such hate and disrespect.

However, I was supposed to receive the first month free with the rental of a vehicle. There was no way to apply the free month via online. There is no way to contact the storage office directly (I must call and wait on hold from 20 min to 1hr+) and have yet to receive assistance with this 3 weeks after the move-in. Also, the access wasn't clear, and we we're locked out of the facility after hours the first time we arrived (because 2 vehicles entered using our code, which "logged us out"). We had to call an after hours line, leave a message, and wait 30 min for someone to show up only to tell us that we could have walked outside the gate and enabled our code again. If there was a usable FAQ or chat feature, and if I could actually reach a human at the rental location, this would be much better.

I however have an issue with the rental return. I picked up a 15 foot truck in Medford Oregon on Saturday June 27th. When I picked up the truck it was very low on gas and I asked the attendance what is the process for fueling. I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas to the Beaverton location but then last night got a bill for $54 in fuel charges. I called the store and was told they will look into it. I am not sure why I was charged for fuel when I returned it exactly the same amount of fuel as I picked it up with. I think this is taking advantage of customers and a sneaky way to get some additional money from the customer. I will certainly dispute this charge if a credit is not give to my account. This is no way to treat a customer.
