1/4 tank is annoying to start with. I guess that’s typical but I didn’t have time to put a coulle gallons in orior to starting and it was dinging at me 5 miles down the road. Sketchy if I had to go much further.

The gal at the main office was very rude and I was told I could not get into my unit till following day due a lock being on door and nobody there to take off lock. She has been real rude every time I have delt with her renting u hauls and her customer service skill could represent the company much better, she gives off the impression that she hates her job and the people who are involved .

The staff is very friendly and helpful and does a good job. But the layout makes moving in and out horrible.the primary thing that makes this facility a living nightmare is the outdated cargo elevator with no motorized automation, forcing you to open and close two sets of heavy doors Every single time you want to take a load up or down a floor, this is exhausting, along with the fact that the elevator floor doesnt align flush with the hallway floor so every time you go in or out the elevator you have to pull the cart up and over which usually results in your load of items falling off the cart. Nightmare to deal with.

I never saw anyone at the Lipan site. When I went over the first time to move in, the company lock was still on the door. I could not locate anyone onsite to remove it for over 30 minutes. The office was open, the persons cell phone was plugged in but no person. Charity sent someone over from the other location to finally let me in after also not being able to locate the onsite person. She was great!
DANIEL S | Overall ExperienceWhere do I begin? When we arrived at the storage facility on Lipan, there was a note taped to the door that read, "I'm on the property somewhere. You can do everything from your phone." We then waited outside the storage building on hold for eternity for a customer service rep whom proceeded to tell us that we had to go to the U-Haul on 2000 Lower Colfax to "finish paperwork." The young woman at that location was rude, unfriendly, and argumentative. She tried to send me a link to upload my ID which I had already done at the beginning of this entire U-Haul process, and for some reason, it was not in the system. She then complained about her supervisor who "called in and left her with all of the hard work, and that's why she should be here because I don't know anything about this reservation." She called the supervisor who didn't answer, but immediately called her back at which point she answered the phone, "WHAT?" Such disrespect, I couldn't believe what I was hearing and witnessing. Then, there was a discrepancy with the units we were supposed to receive and that took even more time. We then went back to the Lipan U-Haul, checked in on the keypad and entered into the storage building. We made our way to the 3rd floor to our units, which were "surprise!"...locked. Not one single time did anyone at U-Haul mention to us that we: #1 couldn't access the units without an employee unlocking said units, but #2 that we needed to purchase specific, round locks. Luckily, we were able to locate an employee, at which time, she told us that had she not been there, we would not have been able to access our units or unload our U-Haul which was due back that night. Also, there were people entering the building without checking-in on the keypad, specifically speaking about an older, homeless looking gentleman who entered the building through the automatic door while smoking a cigarette. Just letting you know. What a freaking' nightmare this was. By the end, everything worked out, but the experience itself, leaves a bad taste and a lot to be desired from a company such as U-Haul who should have all of this dialed in as it is WHAT YOU DO! There were some very serious missteps that could have been prevented throughout this whole entire process. What if we hadn't been the lucky people who just happened to figure all of this out before the building closed? Ya'll need to get it together.

Charity called me back and was mad demanding that I tell her the situation because if it was about her location she needed to know. I told her I asked about the refund and I wasn’t able to finish because she said they don’t give them and hung up on me. Charity was very rude and unprofessional in the way she handled the situation. No reason to get hung up on.

I’ve been harassed by this team for weeks and ignored when I attempted to make a resolution. Today they called again hung up on me. I’m not sure what’s going on as I received confirmation that my unit was moved out of. I can also confirm that I moved out in august. I’m a working profesional and don’t appreciate the constant calls and harassment. Charity should not be working there if she can not properly give customer support, speak kindly, and have patience. I plan to share this on other platforms as well considering the constant harassment and rude calls from your team. It’s very unprofessional.

Tried enrolling again after I received a late charge and I emailed again to confirm my enrollment, again no response to confirm. Two months later I received a late charge again. I also did not receive a reminder email of the upcoming monthly bill like I had the previous month. Overall poor communication, lack of response and late charges that I was trying to dispute but again never heard back from the uhaul manager.

The GM didn't answer their phone when I tried calling. And when I had issues getting into the building, I called the office back and kept being put on hold with no one picking up. I ended up going to another storage facility and moving my stuff in before anyone even got back to me about cancelling.

I always attribute the integrity of a company by the service you receive from its employees. If employees are treated poorly then so will the service and equipment they offer. That was from like the mid 90's to mid 2000's. My recent experience with U Haul has been phenomenal to say the least. All the from the beginning of my move from Tallahasse, FLorida to Denver, Colorado, this has been one of my best experiences with U-Haul........ever!!! To the crew at U-Haul at Florida State University to the crew at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Mile High Station, sorry I can't remember names but you know who you are...thank you for a wonderful experience.

Jon P | First ImpressionsMy experience was frustrating every step of the way. The office is on a different site than the facility, so getting my documents and locks was annoying. My unit wasn’t unlocked for me the day I moved in (even though my rent started that day) so I had to park my moving truck on the street and unload everything the next day. Even then, the unit wasn’t ready in the time frame they promised. However, Diego was very nice and was able to unlock it for me once I was there. Also, there is no way to get access codes other than going to the off site office. They don’t give these out over the phone even with multiple types of ID verification. There is also only one elevator in the building, and when I moved in another renter had totally blocked the elevator with their stuff and I had to wait an hour and a half to move my stuff in. I tried calling to see what could be done about this, and there was nothing they were willing to do. They wouldn’t even notify the location manager to inform the other renters of elevator courtesy. I will never get a storage unit from UHAUL again as my experience was less than satisfactory.

dallas d | Overall ExperienceI reserved a unit on the first floor with specific dimensions. I was given a unit on the third floor with different dimensions. The freight elevator is not as convenient as a normal elevator. That inconvenience causes people to leave it open on the second and third floors rather than closing it for others to use. Forcing the use of multiple keypads multiple times creates multiple single points of contact that people have to use making it easy to pass germs or viruses. Giving out key cards would be better. Requiring people to go to the storage facility customer service center in person to close a unit at move-out is unnecessary. It should be able to be done online as well.

When I got my unit assignment on the rental date, I was told the only unit available close to the size I reserved was on the third floor. The floor difference is a huge inconvenience. The freight elevator is not easy to use and it is even worse if more than one party is using it. The doorways are not tall enough for all mattress sizes when using the mattress cart forcing you to move the mattress without a cart.

When I got back to the storage facility, the main door was broken and we had to use a tiny door way to move an entire house worth of furniture. I will never use this Highlands locations or Lower Colfax location ever again. Please be warned and don’t waste your time here. Try every other location before wasting your time with this one.

When we showed up to the unit during operating hours there was no one there to check us in or assign a unit even though we had a reservation for the move in day. We had to sit on the phone with customer service for 20-30min until we finally got ahold of someone to help us. Even then we were told to drive to a different location to check in. However they still had to send someone over to our location to unlock the unit for us. We waited for at least 30-45 minutes for someone to show up and take the lock off. It is frustrating to have everything booked well ahead of time and be told that we can handle everything from the uhaul app and then have to jump through hoop after hoop to actually get what we need. I sat on hold many different times in attempt to find someone to help once the app and online systems were not working. I will be incredibly hesitant to ever rent from uhaul again because of how difficult this experience was.

I have never been treated so poorly by two facilities at once until I rented from this U-Haul. When I called again I was told the system was down so codes weren’t working and I couldn’t be issued a new code because the system was done and that it would be til tomorrow til you were back online so there was nothing they could do for me. When I asked if I could speak to you, Diego, she said you’d tell me the same thing. So I had just driven from NY, arrived in inclement weather and was just told sorry, nothing we can do. Even though I had already been charged. So to say the move in process went well would be a gross understatement. We were finally able to get the in the next day without any help or follow up from U-Haul.

It was confusing to get in, no one was there to help, and it was a major pain. The only reason I went forward with the rental is I had no other choice. I was given use of B52 (that was awesome, thank you!). I’ve had my entry code lose it’s 24hr access, twice, and my code all-together disabled numerous times, but I believe that should be over with all the shuffling about?

I had to wait and then I had to borrow one from someone else that had two carts a regular cart and a mattress cart only. They gave me the regular cart which I gave back to them when I was finished my off loading. No one was at the facility and I did not know what to do with the 5x8 trailer I just left it in parking lot. I hope it was not damaged or taken in the absence of anyone from Uhaul there to take possession of the return.

The main office being located at the mile high office is a huge inconvenience. Then you have the lack of parking at the facility. The loading dock is horrible to utilize for unloading. Over-priced dumpster usage fee. I mean $50 for 3 days is a bit much. The units are poorly lit and it makes it difficult when you can barely see because there is no lights in the units themselves. And having to sign in twice just to get inside was annoying. And was for nothing since it didn’t stop people wjo were not supposed to be inside from getting in. And apparently one of those someones tried to break into my storage unit and I was never notified. I had several issues and trying to reach a live person on the phone is nearly impossible. Why is there an office but no one working it. I hope that after this move I will never have to deal with U-haul ever again.

Keypad not working. Locked out of my unit. Zero customer service. Nobody answers the phone or will call you back. Awful place and glad to be done with it.
reed b | Overall ExperienceHaving a loaded trailer was a huge headache. The loading ramps were too low for any of uhauls trailers and for heavy objects like my toolbox and it was even empty. The one spot to back up is at a hard pitch due to the gate on the side.
