The guy who I worked with was unfriendly. He was working 3 customers at the same time. When it came to explaining gas, that it had little gas and I had to bring it back 1/4 tank then I would get $46 discount. He said it too fast and when I asked questions it seem to perturb him and he would not explain the $46 discount, only said the same exact words, same with when I asked if I bought it back earlier than expected would I still be charged the same price. Said the same thing. Maybe this was a man who didn’t like to be asked questions. Maybe he didn’t like white women asking him questions. Maybe he just thought he is the manager and he can act without personality or care. Maybe it was just too early for him. Maybe it was too early for questions or helping people. Plus I was handed a key and pointed in the direction of the truck. No introduction to the truck, is there a key that unlocks the lock, where do I put gas in this machine. Just get me through and gone. It was service, I got the truck but not great service.

The only problem is that I ordered the trailer at one place and when I got there to pick it up, they said it was at another location. That was a big bummer.. other than that it was a great experience

I am definitely planning on reaching out to customer service tomorrow. Ryan who works at the west Adams location (2451 S Crenshaw Bl Los Angeles, CA 90016), was absolutely HORRIBLE. His attitude was insane. He was cussing up a storm about how much he hated working and how the check in experience was taking too long because of me and how uhaul wants to do so much AI shit when my app is telling me to go to the counter for my keys. He keeps telling me I can do everything on the app. He also made sure to comment that I was late to my reservation, I was in the hospital all night with a friend and could not leave until a bit later than anticipated. When I asked about the furniture dolly that I also reserved he laughed and said NOPE don’t have it. No other solutions provided. I asked if there were queen size mattress covers available and he told me to “get up and look!” while munching on a dorito. At 10am. FINALLY I was able to finish up the horrible experience but not before he gave the van key over to me and said “it’s out there, go find it,” not that I wanted him to show me which of the 6 vans would be mine. I was so ready to be done with his insane attitude. Before I left I asked his name which he did tell me, while I was walking out he very timidly told me to have a good day. He was the most horrible way to start a moving day off with and I hope I never see or speak to him ever again. Him treating people like shit and complaining about working, your company being stupid, saying fuck this fuck that in the span of a 15 min interaction with a customer/stranger should tell you enough of the kind of person you have there. On another note, the back of the van had so much dirt in it when I first got in it and the right tire was very low on air. It would have been really nice to have had an employee note those things before I took off.

There is no on-site parking for customers while they are using U-Haul trucks. I had to park way down a long block and around the corner, walking from and to my car in pouring rain. This alone has soured me to this location.

The guy that "helped" me, while not rude, showed NO enthusiasm or initiative to assist me when I walked in the door. He was focused more on his cell phone, to where I had to initiate my issue with him. I had 12 boxes that I brought back for a refund, but did not have a receipt, but explained that I used my card, hoping he would put forth some effort to check the system or at least show me that he was engaged with my issue. I ended up just leaving the boxes, which amounted to a savings to me of at least $20. He appeared as though he could care less. For that reason, I have to give the location an average rating rather than an excellent.

The staff was dismissive, not knowledgeable about the equipment, and caused damage to my car. I was ignored and being treated poorly and very frustrated with my overall service here.

I rented a 20ft truck one week before I needed it. I went back 2 days before my reservation to confirm the pick up date,return date and the size of the truck. Friday, March 15th when I went to pick up the truck, the dates of return were incorrect as well as the size of the truck. I was moving and this error really complicated things. The manager was great and there was nothing he could do.

A horrible experience, everything from customer service to the promptness of receiving equipment. If there was an alternative, which there isn’t, I would absolutely never again use U-Haul. Please note that the individual at this particular U-Haul site did his job very well and my complaints and issues have quite little to do with him. The company needs to get their business in order as mentioned above.

It took forever to pick up. Looks like there was only two employees, not blaming them at all because there was quite a few people in line. I think next time I will just use the online pickup on my phone from this location.

I don't remember the guy's name at the Ramsey location, but he was super helpful. That was the quickest I was ever in and out of U-Haul in my life. And I printed three trucks in the past month because I'm in the middle of construction and I'm buying items from private sellers.

This location was fine. I am complaining because I had a reservation at the Marina Del Rey location a week early and got a call that the location had changed. I accepted, but day off I showed up and they had no trucks. They called dispatch and the guaranteed a 10’ truck would be available at the next location, however when I went there, there was only a 15’ truck available. This means the rate was $10 more than the 10’ truck I wanted.

I was late to my scheduled pick up time, but the staff (manager) was ready to help and the truck was standing by. It was super busy, but the staff there were on top of all matters. Excellent service.

The agents were very deceptive, he told me that Anaheim was about 30 miles and I said that it’s at least 50 miles, and he said don’t worry about it that’s just an estimation, and bring the truck back with a quarter tank because it’s on empty so when I returned the truck the agent said the bill was 160.00 and I asked why and he said you went over the mileage and I said how much was my mileage and he said it was estimated at 30 miles so anything above that was over the mileage and when I said the tank was about what I had when I received it he said I would have to have a quarter of tank over what I started with in stead of the half of quarter tank that I returned with, the practices were so deceptive and bait and switch that was so obvious, I would never recommend that location to anyone and I hope the other locations don’t practice the same tactics

When I did the reservation I said one day rent When I pick up the equipment. The person at desk told me that I had to bring it back by 1:15 pm same day and he changed for one they. So I have the equipment just a few hours (3) I want to claim for a refund

The people at this location were extremely helpful and efficient. I had made a reservation for the wrong sized truck originally, and when I realized my mistake, I figured it would be another 20 minutes, but they took care of me in record time. Very positive experience!!

Employee had poor communication and no acknowledgment when I walked into the room and said good morning, he seemed to not care about his job, no smiles. Just getting through the day. Needed a good cup of coffee to pick him up.

I was yelled at by an employee here after being overcharged $700 just because 'it was in the computer.' Nevermind the fact that I was already charged and the contract was for $600 less. The supervisor corrected it after several frustrating phone calls to both the location and the 800 number. The truck also did not have a lock, forcing me to go out late at night when I discovered this and purchase on. I've never rented a large truck that was not equipped with a lock. The location also didn't have my reservation which was not their fault, but the fault of Uhaul who told me to go to this location and the next day assigned me a location that had no trucks. It was really unpleasant and stressful. I will think twice in the future about doing business with Uhaul as I no longer trust them to get things right.,

The 10 foot truck I rented was disgusting. It smell like sht… and cigarettes. It smell really bad. It was dirty and I had to spray the interior with disinfectant. My clothing smell afterwards. The driver mirror kept falling forward as I was driving in the California rain storm, I mentioned this mirror issue when I dropped it off to a different person of contact. The right side mirror worked. The back was cleared not clean. If I had extra time I would not have used the truck. The fact that the person who rented me the truck didn’t think it was terrible idea says a lot. I paid for insurance, rental and mileage. I have rented from Uhaul before and this was the worst experience. All other time were great. I also have a video of my experience.

Not much information was given when I picked up the truck. The owner did not tell about the extra mileage nor did he discuss that we needed to fold the blankets. I asked for my contract and he told me it was in the truck, handed me the keys and that was it.

I reserved a 15’ truck for over a week, but was told when I arrived that someone else had electronically picked it up and they had no more in all of Los Angeles!!! I ended up taking a 10’ which was much too small smh

I was disappointed when I was quoted $69 for 30 miles and returned the uhaul 8 miles over that and was charged $99. I don't understand the giant price jump.

Great customer service from the employees. They made the pickup truck rental a pleasant and easy experience. The store was also very clean and well stocked. I'll likely return for packing supplies.

Customer service was absolutely awful. The young men you have working there lack the basic skill set to engage in a professional manor with customers. No eye contact, looking at their phones or the TV most of the time, mumbling under their breathe, etc. But if that was all then I (like most others) would not have left this complaint, it wouldn't be worth it. I'm not really into getting people fired because they lack skill as long as they mean well. In this case however, I'd say the employees went out of their way not to correct a mistake they made when explaining the rules to filling up the gas tank. We ended up losing about $25 in the deal, but the worst part was that they brushed it off like it was nothing. If they had at least said sorry for the misunderstanding I wouldn't be submitting this complaint right now.

Lower your prices! These monthly prices are co.parable to used car monthly payments. It's kind of ridiculous to me why it's so much but every time I look up storage prices at other locations it's always cheaper.
