rental took place in the middle of the coronavirus precautions so it was not even close to normal. however, the staff did an excellent job of adjusting to the situation . Could not have asked for a better experience given the situation. Customer service remained very good and all employees were very friendly and helpful.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak the inside was closed but they came outside he was very quick and very polite showed us exactly what we needed how to operate everything and Very well representative of U haul when will you return the U-Haul the gentleman that came out to the truck and checked us in for the return Was quick very informative let us know what the balance was going to be charged to the credit card was he was super polite very clean he took a lot of precautions overall it was a 10 out of 10 experience I would recommend anybody to use the Preston highway & grade lane location To the multiple people that helped us check in and check out I want to give them a big thank you and I appreciate everything you’ve done for us whenever we needed the help to move!!!!!

Floor of truck was clean, but there was mud smeared on inside of walls. Also cargo lights did not work - may have been operator error, but not certain of that.

Just go ahead and advertise the actual price (a minimum cost to drive it. ) it says 19.99 but it was closer to 100.00. Other than that good work

It was quite hectic the morning I went to pick the truck and equipment up. The reservation for the 29' truck included 3 different type dollies. Once I waiting in line 20 minutes or so, they informed me they didn't have but one of the dollies even after it was confirmed a few days prior. Once I got the truck it was on empty and I had to get gas at the nearest gas station. I did not have a good experience!!

My truck wasn't ready. I tried to do self pickup and the first truck was completely blocked in. The second one was filthy and they couldn't find the keys. I ended up being there for more than an hour for my "quick" pick up. And then they said they'd give me a discount and not charge me for my dolly but I was charged full price and charged for the dolly.

It was the end of the month and a weekend, so I understand to an extent why the wait for service was close to twenty minutes. That said, a third csr could have been beneficial. Regardless , the staff maintained a friendly demeanor and were efficient in processing the line of customers.

Made a reservation online, confirmed there was a 10’ truck. I get to the facility to get told there weren’t “any” trucks available. Received a phone call 10 min prior to pick up from dispatch telling me I had to pick up a different truck at a different location I did not prefer. Pros: Updated 10’ with 15’ Cons: No mileage reimbursement, online reservations

En primer lugar el trato fue pésimo me entregaron el equipo una hora después de lo previsto al devolver el camión me querían cobrar 2 millas más al rentarlo especifiqué que no quería seguro y aún así me lo pusieron y tuve que debatir con la empleada de nombre gayla schade por ese tema parece que ella tiene problema de Discriminacion racial por que al ver que era latino me trato bien indifernte y creo que una persona así no debiera de estar atendiendo al público yo no recomiendo a nadie que valla a esa localidad a rentar nada no obstante llamare para comunicarme con alguna persona o mananger para presentar mi queja

The check in process online took longer than I thought it would. I paid with a visa credit card. I gave a secondary phone number and all other required information. I was stuck waiting in the rain for a in-line tech to write me back. The 26’ uhaul trucks alignment was so bad I thought, on more than one occasion I was going to wreck. Also the driver side window was letting in cold air, but was rolled all the way up. The truck was shaking so much I couldn’t even look see out of my side view mirror. Miserable ride! I’m so glad I didn’t have to drive any further than 128 miles. $177.00 for 24 hours and 128 miles in a broken truck. The staff at the Preston location were pleasant. Much better ran store than the one on Bardstown road in the 40218 neighborhood. Thanks

I used the mobile pick up option and was sorely disappointed. Standing in the rain by the van I learned I had to enter the name and phone number, I understood, of someone who would know my whereabouts if I didn’t return the van. Instead my friend was called and I hadn’t told her I’d just typed her name and number in a site. She didn’t answer and I called customer service. So I learned I needed to provide info on someone who knew me I ended up giving info on a Co-worker in Miami. The app didn’t indicate the process had gone on ... I had to go backwards in the app to figure out I was Moving on to next step. Which meant I then had to go into the building to get the key, still in the rain and carrying a blanket I had with me to use for the move. I got the key and got in the van then checked the exterior. I then scanned driver license etc. A new window came up asking for the Contract ID and I didn’t have that. I called in to the building to get that, the person who answered asked if I could hold and I said no, and then the phone disconnected. I then went into the building to try to get the contract id. The folks looked on their computer and looked at everything and said I was good to go. They printed me a copy of the contract if I needed the number when I came back. I got to my destination to pick up my item (finally), and found I did not have the furniture dolly I had requested and paid for. Once I was done with the van (this is the positive part) and returned it, Raee had me come in and she straightened out the cost of the dolly for me. I think the mobile pick up option should explain the process better. Thanks for your time.

This location had more trucks and trailers than any other uhaul I have ever used. Also lots of towing accessories. Large staff and fast service.

My son and I are moving his business to a new location. We have rented 11 - 20ft and 26ft trucks from U-Haul as well as some open trailers. Mainly we use the 4612 Preston Hwy location and the people there are really great to work with every time.

I was bothered when returning the vehicle because the person checking it, was not aware of the gas amount reading details. There is a sticked Measure, including 7/8, 15/18,... which was used to estimate the gas at pickup and they said it is 15/16, after 7 hours, the new crew, did not believe to use that sticked measure numbers and they said you should pay extra, while I had put more gas than needed! Finally they checked the pictures that they had taken at previous customer return process and they learned how it works! It took me 10 minutes to convince them. So I can say lack of knowledge of the crew working there, was annoying!

The People were super great but the truck shook so violently the entire trip, the door sounded like it would break loose of the frame any minute. The constant noise gave all of us headaches and the shaking was terribly uncomfortable at every speed.

The windshield was very dirty,hindering my vision so I stopped and cleaned it . The truck is too loose in the front end/ steering wheel. It was a truck I hope I never see/ drive again. I have rented the trucks a few times ,and everything was clean and in good working order but not this time

I used the U-Boxes, it cost me $280 to rent them and there was alot that I was not told for example: there is a monthly fee for renting them, there was an additional fee for delivery.
