I’ve rented from this location serval times before. This was by far my worst experience ever. The customer service rep helping me was very rude and unprofessional. Her was is Miesha I believe. She has red hair. She was training someone when I got there. It took them 30 minutes to get me in a truck. They laughed and joked around with each other while helping me. This added to the delay. She go upset because I asked why were they taking a picture of my ID with an employees personal phone. This seems weird to me. Then she told me I need to give her an emergency contact to ensure I don’t steal the truck. I felt offended by that comment. They proceeded to call the contact as a reference for me. I’ve never gone thru this before with renting anything especially a uhaul truck. When I asked if this was a new policy she told the trainee if anyone questions the policy he doesn’t have to rent to them. Again, very rude. This was the last time I would use this location.

Ensure store availability is actuate for the customer service for scheduling. Store personnel should check the schedules either at end of day or first thing when they come in, managers should be ensuring they know what's expected and their staff is aware when they get to work. I had to reschedule and then when I get there they acted like my appointment was a bother.

THE 17 FOOT TRUCK I HAD WAS VERY OLD, MADE ALOT OF NOISE WHEN DRIVING. THE GEAR SHIFT JAMMED SEVERAL TIMES AFTER PUTTING THE TRUCK IN PARK. SO I THEN STARTED PUTTING THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL AND ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE TRUCK IN PARK. PLEASE TAKE THIS TRUCK OUT OF SERVICE.

Had a reservation for a trailer..... they didn't have a trailer when I arrived, I had to rent van from them......when they billed my CC they charged me for the trailer and the van!!!!

I will NEVER go to this location again. Unintelligent staff. They gave us a van. It turned out to be the WRONG van. Someone else had our assigned van. So we were charged the other people's 2 day rental plus their mileage, not our 4 hour rental and correct mileage. Total messup! They didn't know how to correct it. The location did NOT put ANY notes to document our return or their screw-up. TO ALL CUSTOMERS, CHECK THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, VIN NUMBER, TO BE SURE YOU ARE GETTING THE RIGHT VEHICLE. DON'T TRUST THE EMPLOYEES TO GET IT CORRECT! I'm still waiting for a refund and it is now 3 weeks later. Also ridiculous customer service system. Every time I call to dispute this, the inept manager has 72 hours to respond. I simply want this corrected and I deserve my refund immediately!

Customer service was very poor. Keith was very impersonal. He gave no direction on how to operate vehicle. I had to bring truck back adding extra miles to my reservation. Mikeysha was not attentative to my needs as customer. Nothing was explained The truck engine light was on. Nakiya was indifferent to concerns expressed about day of pickup. She tried to. Charge fir 2 days no matter how I explained there was a delay in pickup from online scheduled time. Was not able to pick up truck until after 11:30pm. Keith said could jeep for 28 hrs without additional charge. I always thought U-Haul was place to go when moving. Not so sure after bad customer service received. The sad part is Zi still had to pay fir this terrible experience.

Under-staffed so very slow even after registering on-line. No blankets/mats were available which were included in the rental. Agreement was from 9 am to 5 pm; yet truck was not available until 10 am. Agrement was modified to 10 am to 6 pm. Location was still trying to charge for an additional day when truck was returned at 6 pm!

The service i received was very mediocre at best the young lady kept talking to her other coworker wasn’t giving me the customer the full attention that was needed also functions of the truck did not work suck as windshield wipers which the company should be pre/post trip inspections of the truck this was my first time using U-Haul services and probably will be my last

The location is good, the customer service needs improvement. I was being waited on and the previous customer had an issue, I was made to wait in the middle of my check out and the other customer was taken care of, i was then sent to another person who treated me as if I was going to steal your equipment and I have been renting with you guys for a long time. On top of that, the equipment was turned in the same night but was not checked in until 2 days later.

ordered utility dolly and pads and paid for them received none had to move with out them. rented on sunday store was closed when realized did not have items. took longer to movedue to no dolly and my funiture got damaged due to no pads which I paid for. when returned truck still got charged for dolly and pads after talked to manager. called uhaul for manager to call back to correct. no one has called back. Also they new they did not have items be for renting to me. the Clerk asked it they had some and the other clerk said he would check. they just drove truck out and told me to check the milage and gas if not correct come back in. very disastrous. I would like a full refund or some compensation.

Improve your computers, I booked for quoted for $142 and they charged me 194, I returned one day before no credits, they estimated 212 miles and paid, but spend only 196 they over charged no credit. After booking the confirmation why they are changing the other locations?

The gentleman who handled my drop off was brusque. He acted as if I was an inconvenience. When he logged in the trailer he informed me I made a mistake, that I was at the wrong drop off location. When I showed him my paperwork he blamed the personnel at the pickup location for not putting my transaction into the system. Never offered an apology.

We waited in a long line to pick up the van. The workers are not friendly and welcoming. They don’t smile and welcome you. They are officious and unhappy to be there. The lady who waited on us told me to check the mileage and gas amount when I got into the van and if it wasn’t the same to come back in but by the time she brought it around and cleaned up the inside I forgot. The van had dirt and mud all over the outside and dirt and left over bottles and food wrappers on the inside. We got in and I was a mile away before I realized that this van that was supposed to have just under a full tank actually had just over half a tank. It also had a low right rear tire and very sqeeky brakes. We went 30 miles and I ended up putting $46.00 worth of gas in it to try to get it back up to the just under full it was supposed to be. I ended up filling the tank in my effort. When I got it back to the UHaull they advised that they had given me a van that had been stolen and so the mileage and gas amount were all off. They charged me for 30 miles based on what I told them but gave me no credit for the $46.00 worth of gas I put in it. So this $19.95 van I rented for 3 hours ended up costing me almost $100. All with no apology. That is ridiculous. I will not do this again.

Try to find a way to give people back there money when they over fill the truck with gas when the truck is not on full to start may be you can take it off the back end with the miles

We reserved a trailer at grand river and they didn't have one available. Eric the owner not only argued with me that i ordered the wrong thing (there is no way i would have orderd an open trailer for my move), but he was rude the whole time. I went to the 9mile and tel location where the service was no better from being yelled at and told to park in wendys lot, to only one worker when returning on a fri afternoon. Obviously neither location considers customer service a priority.

I was so surprisingly disappointed with the man who waited on me. There was one gentleman in front of me and the Uhual agent was so respectful calling him sir, taking the time to answer all his questions while I patiently waited my turn. He went above and beyond to explain the insurance coverage and again continue to say, "yes sir, or "no sir" but once he got to me the curteousness went straight out the window. He was very dry, almost as if I was irritating him, never referred to me as ma'am. Seemed confused about my drop off because I rented from another state, asking me the details when they were right there in the system. And when I questioned why and was everything ok, he said I was just making sure you knew. Just rude and seemed very sexist towards me a woman compared to the man he just waited on. And when we went outside he agaiystarted answering to another man, yes sir... And just givoyhim the utmost respect. When. I was done he just reached out and handed me my receipt, I said we're all done? And he just nodded yes as if again I was irritating him. I will NEVER come back to this location, I'd rather drive 2 miles up to rent or return a Uhual.

Taking pictures of a person license plate also front and back of the driver's license is not good to be in hands that van become careless with a customer's personal identification. You all need to change that at this location. I didn't care for it at all. I've used uhaul enough that when I go in a location all my information pulls up anyway.

The manager hooked up the trailer to my hitch and was demonstrating how to do it to other employees. She did not fully insert the ball into the hitch but stated that it was on fine and hooked up the chains. As soon as I pulled out It dropped off and almost caused an accident on Telegraph road. I had to stop and reset the ball and hitch myself while holding up traffic

I want to know why u-haul needs to know the e-mail address of the customer to write a review? I rented the $19.95 truck, brought it back less than two hours, I was overcharged and I ask why, I was given a lame excuse, that my "mileage was less", that doesn't make any since I told the worker. so I was charged more because I use less? Another thing is why U-hauled is taking photos of peoples drivers license, that's illegal? Now everybody in the U-haul store knows your private information, not feeling this.

This review is for the horrible overall experience I had with UHall. You have customers deal with an appointment center who does not have accurate information. I had to go to multiple locations without a reservation before I could get a rental. This was very unprofessional and a horrible customer experience.

It was brought to my attention by the drop off location that I was overcharged. I should’ve been charged a rate of about 85 dollars instead did the 128 that I was charged. I was scheduled for 30 miles but I only used 16. The drop off location brought this all to my attention but unfortunately was unable to refund what I was overcharged.

Jack was rude, mean and all together unpleasant, not to mention a complete liar. Not only was he horrible to my family and me, he was rude and nasty to the people around us to the point where we were all uncomfortable.

There were only 2 guys working and the place was full of frustration amongst the customers. It took almost an hour to rent the truck and and an hour to return. They need more help especially on the weekends.

Originally I made reservations at the Telegraph and 8 Mile location, which I was on my way there, but instead I stopped at the one on Telegraph near 9 Mile. But so that I did not have to drive all the way down the street, this location took ownership of my reservations, which I didn't realize was possible. But believe or not, this location worked out so much better. I must say that I'm glad I stopped at this location by mistake, they were so very nice, and on point with how they conducted business, and at the time there was only two individuals here. Kudos to the young lady behind the desk who waited on me, you could tell that she knew her stuff. After adding up everything, she saved me a lot of money, mostly because she was very accurate, It seems like she knew how far I went from the accuracy of the gas mileage. I was a little worried that I may not have had enough money too cover it all at the end.
