Plz do NOT stack the boxes so high up that it BLOCKS the door entrance area and for Safety the customers and employees Should ALWAYS b able to see who is enterng the store at ALL TIMES . Plus it duznt look nice when u enter and see 300 boxes instead of a person ... whalley ave store . Thank You ...

The cashier told me I can drop off anytime at my requested location. Well that info was false because, I was charged a drop off fee of $80 after I did everything i was told was ok to do from uhaul .. bad service.

I rented a truck for 5 hours and I asked the associate what happens if I go over the 5 hours he responded technically you can have the truck for 24hrs I responded so I don't have to rush he responded no well long and behold I had the truck over 5 hours and was charged 2 rental fees of 19.99 and 2 insurance fees of 14.00 never did the associate say I would be charged twice if I went over the 5 hours I am very unhappy about the situation I did not have money to pay double the price due to covid I'm having it hard your associate should have told me I would be charged twice

Plz MAKE SURE the boxes on whalley ave are NOT blocking the door entrance view for employees or customers . Safety is important For Everyone . Greetings are also important . I Kno things can still happen wether the space is cleared or not but think it's Much Better to NOT have the boxes stocked up Sooo Much . Thank u Sincerely from a Grateful Customer .. 😁😁😁

The location closed before the posted hours without any notice. When I called U Haul from the parking lot I was told that this location has a habit of closing early - not acceptable!

You should NOT have the front area stacked with LOTS of boxes that are for sale . when a customer first enters in on whalley ave new haven CT u CANT see the staff and the staff CANT see the customer bcuz a bunch of boxes are PILED UP ... The truck was not in the location that was shown in the picture. I walked around in the parking lot in the cold looking at every truck in the lot. Then when I returned the truck I was over charged. It stated I went 200 miles when I only went 15. The miles on the invoice did not match the miles I started at. So now I am currently waiting for my card to be reimbursed. I am really disappointed with the service.

I recently rented a truck from your location. I would like to speak with you about my experience. I left my EZ Pass on the truck, I called to inquire whether it was found or not when cleaning. I was told I had to come down and ask if it was there and if it was your staff would return it to me after I identify it and that was the procedure. The woman I spoke to said to me they were cleaning it at that moment and I should be able to get it. I arrived about An hour or so later and I spoke with Jeffrey at the counter. He said he saw it so he began looking for it went to the side door to look for it came back he said he didn't see it he couldn't find it. I asked him to call the woman I spoke to because he said that she had it, he calls her and then came back to tell me that Angie had it she put it in her pocket and she couldn't remember where she put it after that. I reported the Ez pass stolen, I had to pay $16 because of it. Your staff is extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. I would like further contact at corporate level to voice a complaint over this incident. My contact number is 917-841-4849

They forgot to put extra equipment in truck and I had to return. And asked for me to return truck after I had it for one hour for maintenance (I chose not to). That said , friendly staff and usable truck!

Have a better truck this 1 had some damages, I was accused of having the truck out longer than I did because no one checked the truck in and I'm still waiting on my purchase receipt

I would NOT recommend the orange ct location they messed up our truck rental so badly and New Haven came somewhat to the rescue. On the phone reservation manager screwed up , New Haven fixed it again. New Haven and the worker Croix was wonderfully helpful !

Used U-Haul Share app for guaranteed pick-up but it did not allow truck pick-up at assigned time. Called location phone and after 15 min on hold in queue, CSR found that the reserved15 ft truck was unavailable. CSR did immediately arrange switch to available 17 ft truck - same price. Check-out thereafter went as expected.

The customer service rep taking my order was particularly helpful. The lot attendant looked like some guy of the street. He should have been wearing something to indicate that he was affiliated with u-haul, of only a badge or a hat.

When I picked up the truck, there was a tire service warning displayed on the odometer. Truck operated fine, but it would be nice to have the equipment in somewhat better condition. Drop-off was simple and efficient, though.

I used remote rental. Key provided was for wrong truck, waited in line, got rental info updated, went back to truck, no supplies that I rented were in truck, went back to wait in line agin. Thirty minutes inside waiting in line for what was supposed to be a contactless rental using app. And then gas tank was only 7/8 full in spite of being marked full on the contract. I would be reluctant to use this location again.

I got overcharged $20 because the representative at this location had me drop my keys in the after-hours return box despite the fact that I returned it 15 mins before they closed. Customer service was useless and the manager at this location did not respond to their "notifications". DO NOT GO HERE.

Just received receipt for van rental. there were charges i wasn't aware were going to be there. i asked agent if i could return van before they opened the next day because i had something to do. She said no problem and showed me where the dropbox was. On receipt noticed a $20 after hours fee (for what?), then a $2 Vehicle Recovery fee, this is ridiculous. I want my money returned.

If I rent equipment online well in advance (over 2 weeks!!!) I expect it to be loaded on the truck when I do mobile pickup early in the morning. If it won't be loaded, I expect to be notified of this fact the night prior—although you really shouldn't let customers rent equipment that won't be there. By having to wait until opening to sort this out when customers use mobile pickup for a reason (they need to move at a certain time) this creates serious problems with moving! Further, this service location has workers that routinely show up late, take forever to check you out, and are relatively unaccommodating. I will not be using U-Haul again if I can avoid it. And definitely not this location.

The online check-in was a fiasco. It took my 30 minutes to finally get my rental vehicle. The tech support person on the app kept apologizing for a system glitch, and they eventually had to cancel the whole order. The clerks at the pick-up location had to start all over with a reservation. Fix this mess.

When I went to pick up the trailer I reserved, they didn't have the correct size. So I got a smaller size. The reservation included a dolly, but they didn't give me a dolly - I didn't realize this until I was already well into my move. Tried to call the location but couldn't get through. All I want is a refund for the dolly.
