The web interface for truck pickup needs work. The clerk had me skip "find my truck" because I had a question about something, and I couldn't go back to it. Also, there's no mention on the pickup instructions you need to have someone else called to vouch for you. That's a ridiculous requirement to spring on someone without notice. Then, the little truck key lockboxes are confusing. I didn't know what knob to turn, because the knob didn't look like a knob. It looked decorative. Read "The Design of Everyday Things": if you try to use a knob or door wrong, it's the object's fault not yours. Like when you try to push a pull door; that's bad door design. Then, the clerk acted like I was silly for not being able to figure it out. I will say that the service itself, the truck, the storage we rented etc was all top-notch. I just think some improvements could be made in the process.Ethan L.

Got on site at 3pm, was not able to take it until 7pm due to very poor UX process. Was supposed to leave truck on another location, as was clearly stated on my order, but apparently not. I had to bring it back. Cost much more than expected due to that, and took me really long time and energy. I chose it to simplify my task, ended up the opposite. Got offered by someone who call me from uhaul the Day before the pick-up a 26 foot for the price of a 16 foot after being offered a 20 foot for the price of a 16 when i reserved the truck , pick-up day arrive the employee is not aware of the offer and ask me for proof i waited 45 min to get what THEY!!!! offered me.... I reserved a dolly with strap get there there's no one available ..... Tell me the truck is on one Side of the building its completely on the opposite side millage wasnt exact as written in the Contract 9007 miles when really was 9008.8 the employee was really sleeping ....... A little more priority on mobile check in at the counter. I feel if the counter was clearly marked and clients using mobile checkin were given the purity at the counter to pick up their keys it might induce other customers to consider using mobile checkin. I found the mobile checkin reasonably straight forward taking about 5 Minutes. I am thinking of Marriott hotel checkin or Avis preferred check in experience. Uhaul has the ability to do this but you know your business best.Robert P.

The whole online pre-register is a waste of time. You still have to go in and give the exact information again to the employee. Huge waste of time and puts your employees and customer at risk to covid exposures. The drop is self serve which is great. Also, the employees are all new there and require way more training before you ask them to deal with customers and waste time.elie K.

Service from agent check-in was Excellent BUT the truck was brutal. To clarify, transmission and the ride itself. The truck was very clean (old as hell). Was just afraid to breakdown on the highway, we did many kms. Prices were good. You advertise that you can pick-up one spot & drop off somewhere else but I was not allowed to benefit from this option. Had I known I would have chosen another Uhaul location. Je tiens Ã dire que dans l'ensemble je suis satisfait, mais ce qui suit est un irritant majeur pour moi. MÃªme avec plusieurs tentatives, il m'a Ã©tÃ© impossible d'effectuer ma rÃ©servation en ligne en langue franÃ§aise, il y avait constamment des pages inaccessibles en franÃ§ais. Au moment de prendre livraison du camion, la page web que l'on m'a envoyÃ©e Ã©tait en anglais alors qu'il y a plein de trucs lÃ©gaux Ã lire. Pas fort. Le niveau d'essence n'Ã©tait plein tel que mentionnÃ© alors j'ai voulu tÃ©lÃ©verser une photo pour appuyer ma contestation, mais cela Ã gÃ©nÃ©rÃ© un Ã©chec et ensuite, je n'ai jamais Ã©tÃ© en mesure de complÃ©ter l'inspection par moi mÃªme. Donc Ã vÃ©rifier l'ensemble des outils mis Ã notre disposition pour les avoir en franÃ§ais et fonctionnels. De plus, il serait important de spÃ©cifiÃ© que la vitesse est indiquÃ©e en miles Ã l'heure en gros et en kilomÃ¨tres en petit. I was given a 15' truck instead of my reservation of 10' one, this caused me higher fuel cost. They couldn't find the 10' key I was give truck with a little over 1/4 tank fuel and I returned it the same but, I have been charged $18 for a spacultive fuel level calculation even though they we supposed to give truck full and get it back full. Also, they charged me the 15' truck rate instead of 10'.Bijan K.

The online pickup process is ridiculous. There was an issue with the alternate contact. The First agent instead of assisting me keep kicking me back to the screen to update the contact info. After trying to explain the issue they canceled the entire attempt to pick up the reservation and I had to start over from scratch. This was a huge waste of time as it took me 30 min to finally get a competent person to chat with and get the issue for the alternate contact resolved. I have nothing bad to say about the location the agents were helpful but it would have been an hour or more if I had to wait in line to pick up my rental. This is why i choose to do the online pickup. it's supposed to be easy and the agent is supposed to help make it soo. I didn't get that feeling and the session closed without explanation.Christopher S.

I understand that since the customer is paying for most of the fuel in your trucks it isn't a priority for you have a stop/start optioned in your brand new GM vans, but with the global climate change situation and the fuel prices increasing, it would make a significant difference for renters that drive in the city and the environment. Bonjour, Vous avez du culot de me demander ça. Voici ce qui s'est produit et je veux que ce soit remonté à votre manager. En deux mots : terriblement décevante. Vous avez des actions à prendre. LA SITUATION * J'ai appelé à 17h pour aviser de mon retard et voir si je pouvais avoir la clé pour l'espace d'entreposage gratuit que j'avais loué, on m'informe que ce sera fermé, de faire la réservation en ligne et de payer. Jean-Marc, à qui j'ai parlé, m'assure que ma réservation me sera remboursée le lendemain. * J'arrive sur les lieux, les deux employés toujours présent à l'extérieur répondent uniquement à mes questions par "c'est fermé, Jean-Marc fait dire que c'est fermé". * J'insiste pour avoir une réponse plus détaillée au moins minimale sur comment accéder à l'entrepôt ou d'aller chercher Jean-Marc puisque je lui ai déjà parlé : l'employé va dans le commerce et ne sort plus. * J'entre dans le commerce par la porte de garage ouverte et débarrée, le troisième employé qui était toujours présent (Jean-Marc) m'accueille par "C'est fermé, you're trespassing" Je lui explique que j'ai bien compris et je veux juste savoir où entré pour l'entreposage, il insiste et répète sans répondre "you're trespassing on est fermé" J'ai beau voir dépensé 400$ chez U-Haul aujourd'hui, le manager, Jean-Marc a eu le culot d'ajouter "si on était pas là t'aurais dû t'arrranger. Fait comme si on était pas là" plutôt que de prendre le 30 secondes pour m'expliquer la marche à suivre et me donner une expérience wow. * J'accède finalement à l'entrepôt par le côté, j'essaie de réserver en ligne pendant 30 minutes. Je fini par réussir à réserver un entrepôt en ligne non sans problèmes. * L'entrepôt que j'ai pu louer s'avère plus petit que celui que j'avais réservé et chaque fois qu'on ouvre la porte, l'alarme sonne. J'ai encore de l'acouphène dû à l'alarme. Le Call-Center à qui j'ai parlé ne pouvait pas m'aider par rapport à l'alarme. * L'application ne m'as jamais permis de faire le drop off du camion en self-service. J'ai pourtant essayé au moins 3 fois impossible. * Je n'ai pas eu le remboursement du dépôt que vous m'avez chargé puisque je payais par débit le camion. DE CES FAITS 1) Je veux le remboursement intégral du dépôt qui m'a été chargé sur ma débit à Québec pour le camion. 2) Le remboursement intégral de mon espace de location loué à défaut d'avoir accès à celui gratuitement offert avec le camion. 3) Ne pas être chargé pour le drop off de la clé sans l'application, ça ne marchait pas. 4) La location d'un camion U-Haul à vos frais pour me permettre de déplacer les meubles que j'ai dû ramener à mon point de départ dans le CX-5 de mon helper. (il ne sera plus disponible et la dimension de l'espace de stockage choisi aurait permis normalement de les accueillir sans problèmes.) 5) Des excuses formelles pour le dérangement avec votre boss en CC de ce courriel. Hello, I arrived at 08:50 on Sunday 20 June 2021 to pick up my Cargo Van and to rent a storage unit, my appointment was at 09:00. There was a huge line up outside and by the time I received my cargo van and storage unit it was 10:45. I spent over 1 1/2 hours at Uhaul. The employees were understaffed but maintained a positive attitude. There seemed to be only three employees working that day. When I left, there was still a hug line inside and outside. I first reserve my sotrage a month an haft ago. I called to confirm that I ca ntake possession to be told that there was no reservation to my name. I rushed to the U-Haul because there were only a few lockers left. When I got there, the employee handed me a keycard to remoove the alarm on my storage. Drive to the storage and the key does not work... all my stuff were already taken out of the car... nobody on site to help... so i decided to open with the alarm on. After I drive back to the front desk and they were not able to give me a working card... I have to come back another time.... Hello Jean Marc. First thank you for this experience with your storage . As you can see for over 6 months or more my experience with your lachine storage and trucks was excellent. I had to close my company and to move and also sold my house ,so there was lots of moving.You personally (I hope you remember me) me helped me and your staff as well. The only thing I think you should try to fix is the answering to the phone. I know most of the work today is done on line,however sometimes an answer is needed. So thank you again and best of luck. Unit was 5 feet up making it impossible to move in my heavy toolboxes. Customer service was good about extending my truck rental in order to get a more appropriate unit the next day. Il y avait 2 employes...celui qui me servait ne voulait pas me rembourser en argent comptant malgré que jai payé cash. Il voulait me rembourser debit et il ny avait pas dautre solution. Lautre employé à aussitot prit la parole ayant entendu la conversation et a dit...si elle veut cash tu lui paie cash le remboursement. Merci a se jeune homme. Lautre employe manquait un peu dexperience ou de savoir... il mavait lair désemparé ou détaché, mais je sais que vous changez vos code de caissr tout les jours par email. Hiiii merci. Cetait mardi soir vers 18h00 environ. Pour le reste votre entreprise est primordiale dans ma vie et jen retire beaucoup de benefice mentale dentreposer mes choses a bon prix. Je n’ai reçu les instructions qu’en anglais J’aurais aimé recevoir le code de désarmement de l’alarme par sms également, pas juste par email Les instructions par rapport au code à composer n’étaient pas claires (confusion quant à quoi sert le code quand les portes de la bâtisse s’ouvrent sans code / les instructions à côté de la porte semblent s’appliquer aux client SecureMax seulement). The person who helped me get the storage unit account setup was quick and efficient and very friendly. I got a very good impression of U-Haul as a company because of this individual's good attitude. This is very refreshing compared to the last storage facility I used (not U-haul) where the staff seemed like they did not care at all and would prefer if people would just leave them alone. The only reason i don't give a 5 stars is because the waiting time to get service is really, really aweful. I waited 45-50 mins in line just to get service even though i and a reservation. I understand doing contracts with people takes time but being understaff in a month like this, i mean it is moving festival now. All i wanted to do is get my moving done.
