Give yourself lots of time when renting. At 7:00 AM, truck was behind another truck with six inches of ice and snow on the windshield and no snowbrush. Ended up wasting quite a bit of time. If I was running the company, I wouldn't send customers out into a yard to go find a truck which wasn't where it was supposed to be.Giorgio B.

Please make sure that the client knows that they have to download the App to be sure they are not charged extra after they return the vehicle and key after office hours. I was not told this verbally and my credit card was charged an extra amount for rental time even though I returned the vehicle and the key within the initial rental time scheduled. Thankfully though, I was reimbursed after I contacted Uhaul. The employee at the front desk who served me showed professionalism as he was training another employee at the same time. Asking for names of friends to check if they know you is a truly ridiculous practice which you should stop. It implies your customers are lying as nd forces them to share private business of moving, etc..with others. Truly ridiculous. A valid credit card should be enough proof. That transaction of calling my friends really made me cringe and was embarassing and made me not want to ever do business with uhaul again. Shame on you for treating your customers like that.Inge B.

This was not my chosen pick up location. A day before pick up I received a call telling me that the truck I had reserved and the place of pick up were both changed. This location was three times as far from the place of the move and in a part of town difficult to get to.Christopher M.
Picking up the rental was a nightmare. There were 30 people in line with only 2 people working. It took an hour to get to my turn. Then, even when it was my turn why does it have to take 20 mins to process a person just to rent a trailer. A customer should be in and out in 5 mins. This location certainly has potential, the equipment is fine but employees need training, better tools to process customers and learn some respect.silvestro T.

Good afternoon. I could never get through to talk to anyone. When there is a dispute with a payment which was made in cash, the manager should review the video to settle the problem. Customers should always be told the correct price from the beginning so there is no surprise. I should not have to review my contract after I leave. That is the job of the employees. I should know the proper price. What I am charged on the original bill is what I should pay when I return the rental. There should be enough employees to cover the desk and work outside. The female manager almost charged me 2.80$ the litre was very rude when I asked How much I was being charged she then called the manager above her and told the person that I'm being very argumentative and I'm being hard not long after we came to the conclusion that she was overcharging me did not apologize for it and said I didn't know , I asked her how much I was being charged a litre she said she does not know how much it is the litre ,I then proceeded to ask her if it was on the contract and she said she does not know I believe that somebody that is put in a position such as manager should do a much better job, initially the debate that I had was with an employee under the manager she then asked the manager for help and the managers attitude reflected on the employees attitude the employee then also began to treat me like I was in the wrong and then I was being unreasonable it is very important to have good managers at a position so that you have good employees I was then helped by a young man who was able to resolve my problem with itIn 30 seconds apologize for the inconvenience and had me out of there a few moments .Please look into this thank youNatna N.

The trucks and prices are excellent. The wait time needs to be improved. We reserved for 10 am and waited an hour in line before getting our van at 11 am. So we had 1 hour less to move. I was very disappointed in the booking process, I chose a location and a time (Saturday at 9 at 5286 Chem. de la CÃ´te-Saint-Paul, MontrÃ©al, QC H4C 1X1). Once my online booking was done, I got a text telling me to call a number, I did and was put on hold for a very long time and was unable to speak to anyone. I never got a call back, then suddenly get a text a day before my move telling me the time and location of my booking were changed, this caused lots of stress and changes of plan and was an overall negative experience and I am disappointed in uhaul.Alexandre N.

The fuel wasn't ful when I rented the truck. I didn't have internet to upload picture of indicator and took pictures with my phone. I drove 28 miles and When I returned it I put 30 litters gas for $50 and they said, we can't return extra money or give you discount. Honestly the money I spend to put gas was not fair.iraj M.

The rep.who served me was very competent and professional. He was the only one I dealt with who seemed to know what he was doing! My various calls with other employees to book a U Haul were not great! Prices changed,locals to pick up changed. The process to rent overall was frustrating . The rental process was half explained. Why did I receive an emailed receipt with amounts that make no sense to me! It includes a section on the status of the rental when I dropped it off.Is this necessary? Fantastic experience and we’ll cleaned facility. Did notice a lot of rat or mouse poop on the floor of my unit once the storage was removed (even if there was a trap in the unit). With all my storage I never knew this was on the floor of my unit until I moved out. I simply suggest to others to ensure to wrap all materials (fabrics and leathers) in plastic and to put belongings in plastic bins with well sealed lids instead of using paper boxes, to avoid any moths or rodent to access their belongings.Annie S. | Overall Experience

Everything was great except for one thing - Mice! When we moved our stuff out after two years it was full of mouse droppings. Most of our stuff was boxed but as the upholstered furniture and the mattresses had not been wrapped in plastic it was quite gross to see the mouse droppings (and there would also be accompanying urine) everywhere. I finished my reservation online and had problem with my access code. So i had to visit office to sort it out. It was a nightmare for me. I asked for help regarding my access code for building. A lady had very rude tone and bad attitude from start and didnt listen anything i said. I tried to show her my reservation number, gave her locker number and tried show email confirming my locker with payment. She didn’t listen to a single detail i tried to give her to pull my account on her computer. She simply ignored anything i was saying. Instead she tried to book me second locker at more price, without informing me. Finally when she gave me new locker, i asked how much it costs, she told me $80. I asked her why is she booking me second locker, i told her i will not take and to cancel it. She gave me sign that she did me a favour, then a gentleman next to her came in, she explained him, her so much favour and steps she took to book a rental. I showed him my email confirmation, and that guy pulled my account and locker from her computer right away. If that guy wouldnt had shown up i would have spent another 30 min and still not get this solved. I guess this what happen when service desk helper think customers are idiots and they dont know anything. I hope i never have to see her for help. As i dont know her name, she weighs around 170 pounds or more, long black nail around 5 cm, non smiling face. Her shift timing 1am to noon, date 24 January 2022. Another piece of advise to her, dont take your personal calls on job hiding small Bluetooths in ear and covering with caps, please wear facemask because its safe.Dig paul S. | Online Move In

I have had a storage unit in your location for a few years now and it will be the first time I can say something this negative. I get that people have their own lives and issues like everyone else but to be grunted stand them just somewhat rudely pointed to a counter where the young coloured woman was horrible and I must say clueless about what to do. Nous avons réservé un espace à un endroit et lorsque nous sommes arrivés, ils ont dit qu’il n’y avait rien de disponible et nous ont envoyé à un autre endroit. Ils ont dit qu’aucune réservation n’est garantie. Alors pourquoi prendre le numéro de carte de crédit? Pourquoi ne pas signifier au client (à l’avance) qu’il a perdu sa place afin qu’il puisse trouver une autre solution d’entreposage? Arrivés au 2 e endroit, cela a prit un temps fou à se faire servir et avoir un entrepôt qui était complètement sale à notre arrivée (jus, roches, etc.). Lorsque je les ai appelé, ils m’ont dit que les gens qui font le ménage ne travaillent pas la fin de semaine. La dame m’a dit qu’elle peut me donner un balais. J’ai dû insister pour qu’elle envoie quelqu’un. Il a rapidement passé le balais et la mope. Il est à noter que j’avais 3 déménageurs d’engagés à 150$/h qui ont dû attendre en tout et pour tout entre une heure à une heure et demie en raison des délais occasionnés par U-haul. Cela est extrêmement mal organisé et malpropre (la toilette était insalubre et nous sommes en pleine éclosion de Covid). Je suis extrêmement déçue de mon expérienceJulie R. | First Impressions
