I was told from Maryse at head office that I would not be charged more than the 70 that was agreed on my contract. The service was excellent and the staff friendly but I spent over 30min in line and then over an hour waiting for your system to take a payment and register the account even though I had called earlier to reserve. This is my 3rd poor experience with U-Haul because of its systems problems. If you can't get that resolved you will loose a LOT of clients. The experience was pleasant until I got a hefty bill of 1000$ after closing my 220$ contract. Spent 3 hours on the phone and was put on hold for 1.5h without feedback after waiting 1.5h. Fixed the bill with the manager but he charged me cleaning fee where the original contract close didn't have. If i show up again to complain, mostlikely it will cost me more again. First time ever experiencing billing issues and that wasn't fixed automatically on their end. The customer has to chase the system. How is it possible that a contract is closed but reopened again for the next rental and charges the previous customer?Allan C.

Ce matin Ã 7h je suis allÃ© en personne au uhaul de l'autoroute 13: la remorque est toujours Ã la mÃªme place que je l'ai laissÃ©, direct devant la fenÃªtre. Personne n'a fait le relevÃ© des retours et surtout personne ne m'a appelÃ©. Suite Ã Ã§a, mon ex-conjointe a envoyÃ© son avocat contre moi car elle croit que je me sers de son nom pour faire des achats. Worst client management ever! Took a trailer in one location with the intention to return it where taken but an emergency emerged and wanted to drop it at another location. The 2nd location was unable to assist me and left the job while waiting in parking lot!!!! Tried to call customer service of Uhaul to get a loop message that got me nowhere Had to find another truck an bring back the trailer in yhe middle of the night. I was charged an extra 20$ on the truck location because I dropped it after hour and closed my contract online once I got home (after I droped the truck in front of the store at 7pm). Nobody mentioned to me that I had to be in front of the store while closing the contract online. The cost was 19.99$ for a 24 hours rental and I got charged an extra 20$ for the above reason. Boy Uhaul has come along way. Website is absolutely great! I've called to book trailers in the past but I will be using the website to book from now on. Instead of calling in my order only to find out it was moved to a different location now I can follow along as the reservation is moved from one location to another in order to keep my reservation assigned to a trailer for the time I need it. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks it's still easier to call it in. These days have come and gone. Way to stay current with the times Uhaul!Kevin F.

The reason i wont take a Uhaul in the future is that your client service is not good on the phone. In the day, i had a comfirmation call and they changed my pick up place because they didnt have my truck available. I had to wait in total 2hours on the phone on my moving day ti be okay. First i had to wait 45 min to talk to somebody in english (i am a french speaker but we sorted it out) because i forgot my password and the code wasnt be send to me. After that, i wanted to change my order so she transferred me to a "non waiting line" that the girl said to me wich is not true. When somebody picked me up, he said that i couldnt take my truck outside of the opening hours. But I had a email comfirmation and a call with somebody that comfirmed my order. The guy just switched me back into the line because he didnt want to help so somebody else would pick my request. When somebody pick me, it was the same guy i think and when he heard my name he didnt even talk with me and put me back in the beggining of the line so i had to wait again. When somebody else picked me up he finally helped me! I waisted so much of cleaning time in the phone.Jean L.
The 20' truck that I had reserved three weeks earlier was not available or at the location at the guaranteed time. I waited over three hours to get a smaller 15' truck. So I had to make two trips, double the milage and the gas, and nobody at the location gave a damn. There were three other people with similar or worse scenarios at that location, some crying. I just cannot imagine that U-Haul sits on the sideline while their reputation gets tarnished by that one location. My family has used U-Haul more than 10 times over the past 4 years in different provinces, this is the first time I am apalled by the incompetence, indifference and the chaos at a U-Haul location.Giovanni I.

I rented a trailer from here for 2 days. When i picked it up i told the agent that i was going to return the trailer later than my return time. She said that wouldn't be a problem but i would have to pay a small late fee. Well i received a call from U-Haul 1/2 an hour after my return time saying it was late.and asking when i was returning the trailer. I told him later in the day like i told the original agent. He responded that there was no notes on the contract saying it would be late. So i was informed that i had to pay a late fine( $250 dollars) for being late. I've rented trailers from other locations without problems but this was the last time i will rent from this location again.I'm disappointed that the agent didn't write the information about a late return and i could've saved the fine because she forgot to add the note on the contract.james D.

First off, the first location I went to at 8:00 am forgot to leave me a key for my truck. I called U-Haul and was sent to the Laval location. I got there at 9:30 and the line was HUGE! I waited 30-40 minutes in line and got a truck that had less than a quarter tank of fuel. So now I'm almost three hours behind schedule with no fuel. I go about my day and do my move. I had paid some people to help me and they were sitting idle at my home for hours while I was busy getting worked over by the U-Haul system, so that cost me an extra $200 for their time. I explained this to a U-Haul representative over the phone and they said they would credit me $50. I've yet to see the $50. When I returned the truck, the manager said I was low on fuel. How could I be low? The truck was running on fumes when they gave it to me. He told me he wouldn't charge me for the fuel considering how bad the U-Haul system had screwed me. That was a lie, because I was charged about $25 in fuel on my bill. Also, I paid about $20 extra in mileage because the U-Haul in Laval is 12 km further from my house then the one I had reserved at originally! That's 24 Km in the rental truck and 24km in my personal vehicle. You guys should be paying me! Anyways! What a horrible experience. I've used U-Haul many times before but this was probably the last time. A sudden and immediate end to our business relationship. Today was a big day for me and you guys didn't show up at all. My bill was $100. Your rep said I would get $50 and the manager said I wouldn't be charged fuel. That's $75 U-Haul promised me and didn't pay. $25 in charges for extra mileage I shouldn't be charged since it's U-Hauls mistake. Plus I spent about $10 in fuel for my personal vehicle to get to and from that location as well as $200 idle time for the individuals moving me. You guys used to be something, now you're a joke. My reservation has been cancelled the day before my moving, at 4PM. Please notice that I've reserved my truck in april. They got me a truck for 6PM on june 30th to 10AM on july 1st. I had to move during the night because I had to return the truck to 10AM. When I arrived at Uhaul to get my truck â€¦ they told me my truck wasn't there. Honestly, first time with Uhaul and last time ! Very disappointed in your services, without talking about all the stress your company has put on us. Although we did the check-in online the night before, we still had to wait 50 minutes in line. There were not enough employee to serve all the customers for the most busy day of the year: moving day July 1st. There should be an express line for those like us who do their check-in in advance. The equipment should be verify when it is returned, and NOT when given to the customer. We rented a trailer that had a broken light. If it had been impossible to repair it, there would have been no more trailer available for us. Can you imagine the problem caused by that situation when you absolutely need a trailer on moving day? The storage itself is very well maintained and very easy to access with a truck. However the service is very poor. We reserved a storage to have the free month but when we called to change the date, the agent over the phone told us the reservation was never done. We went back to speak to the same agent, he was able to give us the free month storage. We paid for the lock and we walked all th way to the back to see the locker and put the lock. It was raining a lot that day. When we got to the locker, we realized that the locker was locked so we had to walk all the way back in the rain to let the agent know. It was almost 7pm (closing time). If we wouldn’t have checked before closing time, we would’ve not been able to ask him to open the lock to access our locker. If the employee knew that he had to remove a lock before we could access the locker, why didn’t he advise us? J'hésitais à envoyer mes biens à l'entreposage par crainte de dommages ou vol. Mais vos installation sont rassurantes et c'est pourquoi j'y suis resté aussi longtemps. J'aurais une suggestion a vous faire au sujet des alarmes qui se font entendre quelque fois. Les clients ne se servent pas de leur carte d'accès de la bonne façon. Ils ne signifient pas leur présence, alors quand ils ouvrent leur unité, l'alarme se déclenche. Vous devriez leur expliquer un peu mieux le fonctionnement de la carte. Overall very good experience. It is very practical to be able to park inside!! Clean, spacious, new. Many trucks and trailers available for rent at same location. Recycling/exchanging area is a great, original idea!! Improvements needed: More chariots would be appreciated; most families need more than one when moving in, so when we arrived, no charriots were available for about 20 minutes. There is only one lift, so there was a small line-up: not too bad though, because the lift is quite large. Entering and exiting process is somewhat confusing - there is a risk of making the alarm go off or getting locked out if not operated properly: this needs to be improved (too much risk of false alarms and other errors). Recycling/exchanging area was closed, and we could not find any instructions on how to use it, either on site or on the web.Magdalena D. | Online Move In

When I received the first invoices there was the GST and PST on the invoice later on i received the same invoices less the GST and PST when I called in To advise that I needed an invoice with both taxes on the invoice Miss Mine told me I had to go on the site to register. When I signed up for the storage I signed all the papers including the withdrawal from my bank account. I asked Mrs. Mine politely just to send me the invoices with the GST and PST which waas never done. When I came to cancel the storage yesterday the 29 of June 2020 I asked the person at the deest for all the invoices with GST and PST and he did it very politely for me. My accountant was after me to get these proper invoices. Why was it so difficult for Mrs Mine to do this for me? Some employees just don't care to serve the client properly.
