Renting Uhaul was the WORST experience ever!!! The vehicle we rented at least 2 weeks earlier was not available due to your double booking. The day before our move we have no truck!!!! After literally hours on the phone we were finally promised a vehicle. As movers are moving furniture into the lobby of the apartment we were then told we needed a commercial licence to use the promised truck. After a large altercation we took this huge truck and drove it illegally in Quebec. Aside from all the stress and grief we also incurred large gas costs because of this huge truck. When I went to hookup the auto transport trailer, the technician told me a 2â€ ball was required. I had a 1-7/8â€ ball which I had thought would be acceptable. I had to go and purchase a 2â€ ball before they would agree to hook up the trailer. Later, I read in the product documentation on the website that both 1-7/8â€ and 2â€ balls were acceptable for use with an auto transport trailer. I bought the ball for nothing, and I think U-Haul should reimburse me.Ian A.

We requested two trolleys and one base with whells, but we were only given one chariot. It took us way longer to move without the equipment we reserved. Besides, the left mirror was loose, so it moved while I was driving on the road and I could see nothing when changing lanes. That was really dangerous. Finally the steering wheel was not aligned and it was loose, so the truck required effort to be kept straight and, still, the steering wheel looked as it was turning. Terrible experience to drive on the road on a rainy day. Luckily I didn't have an accident.Gabriel B.

There was only one cashier working so it took a long time to get our truck. We were only third in line and we waited for about 20 minutes. To make the process more smooth, maybe consider having more people working at the front desks to check people in faster. When there is a customer queue delaying the delivery of the vehicle, make sure to not argue with the customer for extending the time of return of the time it took to go through the queue. Even if the truck was promised earlier. Because both the queue, and the tight scheduling are your fault, it should certainly not impact the customer, already made late by the time of queuing.Julien L.

Le personnel a été courtois, poli et les lieux sont beaux, propres et sécuraires. Cependant je suis extrêmement insatisfait du système de réservations. J'ai réservé un entrepôt 7pi x 14pi il y a 5 semaines et j'ai obtenu confirmation. Le jour d'emménager, on me dit que tout ce qu'il reste est un 5pi x 5pi. Il n'y a même pas la moitié de mes choses qui peut fitter à l'intérieur et ça me met évidemment dans le trouble. Rental Process is cumbersome and too long especially if one's movers are waiting for the registration to be completed since the movers are being paid by the hour. Your website indicated that our unit was sufficient for our 3.5 appartment. It was absolutely not sufficient and when I inquired about renting another space i was told there were none available. As it is we have had to split the apartment storage which is not the best solution! The staff knowing this problem did not suggest any other solutions, offer to call up other locations for us, or make any accommodations. In addition the sign in procedure is very strange, using one keypad to log in and then another to open the door to the rental spaces.
